The USDA’s Organic Deception

Organic is organic, or is it? It would seem that it is all a matter of perspective when one takes a stroll through the mountains of documents on the FDA and USDA websites.

The word “organic” is fast becoming a high-dollar money-maker for corporations smart enough to jump on the bandwagon and start marketing their products as “made with organic ingredients,” or “certified organic.” Even Monsanto is taking advantage of this burgeoning market, and people naïve enough to believe that what we have traditionally thought of as pure, organic food, is still that way, are being duped.

It makes perfect sense, however, in a Machiavellian sort of way. Flood the food supply with poisons, then lead people to believe that the only safe choice left is USDA Certified Organic. Then buy up the organic companies one by one, and start changing the “organic” rules from the inside out via the bought and paid for government agencies so that you can reap the profits from those trying to escape the poisons.

Yup - that's how they're doing it.

At the same time, the Web has enabled some smaller, still honest, companies to provide some amazingly good food products.

Wow that image is really great. Thanks a lot for posting it. I like to vote with my money. Problem is so much is corporate that is almost the only good option where I live, I have a hard time eating healthy and good without supporting some of these monolithic companies. I found the chimichangas I bought having the name of "Windsor" on them. Most of the other options are not good. So it's suffer with lower quality food, or buy the food that supports TPTB. Quite terrible options for me. I do prefer going to small business restaurants but I cannot afford that all the time. Anyway thanks again for the post. I didn't know Odwalla and Naked were owned by big corps... I really dislike how corporations have spread. I was told by ETs the negative sides plan is to take out the small business and corporatize everything for the future. I foresee them succeeding to a degree. It's troubling what is happening to humanity. I have asked to be taken away from this planet, but while I'm here I try to make a difference. And part of that is voting with your money. But if you have no other real options you are kinda screwed...

Thanks for the chart even if it makes me want to puke. Mainstream moms are still buying diet soda and fluoride toothpaste. By the time they catch on, these corporations will own all the good food companies. There is not heading them off at the pass- Congress is too corrupt to give up all the campaign donations they get. Can you imagine, they have children and grandchildren yet they respond to people like me with form letters obviously prepared by the corporations.
