View Full Version : File Server Outage on SDO Website

SDO
16th September 2025, 14:10
There has been a temporary outage of the browse data on the SDO Website (http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov). Science data from all three of the instruments are still available through the science data access points:

- EVE data (https://lasp.colorado.edu/eve/data_access/)
- JSOC HMI and AIA data access (http://jsoc.stanford.edu/ajax/lookdata.html)
- Sungate AIA and HMI data (https://www.lmsal.com/get_aia_data/)

Additionally, there are many browse data resources available for those who want to review recent images:

- Helioviewer.org (http://Helioviewer.org) has up-to-date SDO data and allows users to combine data from other missions
- HMI Browse images in JPEG format (https://jsoc1.stanford.edu/data/hmi/images/2025/09/)
- AIA Synoptic data (http://jsoc2.stanford.edu/data/aia/synoptic) - resampled data convenient for browsing

The team has ordered the replacement parts and will prioritize the SDO website data services as soon as the equipment arrives. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
