View Full Version : When Angels lend a hand

Dear Friends, this new thread is to share any experiences where we might have thought:
Wow, that was so VERY lucky. It was almost as if an unseen hand stepped in to help. I'd like to ofer three incidents just to start. The first two I've already posted about. They might have transpired, with happy results, all on their own. But the third is new, and still astonishes me each time I think about it. (It might seem very prosaic, but it was absolutely not. :))

1)
The first I posted about here, (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?121734-Mara-returns-to-the-Mountains&p=1663822&viewfull=1#post1663822) back in April. My dog Mara, who is 100% blind and absolutely can't see a thing, became separated from me high in the mountains. She made own her way back to the trailhead a mile and a half away and 1000 ft lower, crossing a potentially precarious rocky waterfall and somehow choosing the right way each time she came to a possible junction.

The more I thought about it later, the more extraordinary (and almost inexplicable!) her feat seemed to have been. A blind human with a 150 IQ would have had major high-stress difficulty doing that that going slowly on their hands and knees, and they might well not have succeeded at all.

2)
But maybe she's just a superdog. :) The second thing, in July, was when a large tree came down inches from my house. I posted some photos here (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?116826-Projects-Permaculture-Homestead-Farmstead-and-the-likes&p=1676273&viewfull=1#post1676273).

Of course, trees can fall anywhere when they do, but I was super-lucky for there not to have been the slightest scratch of damage — though there was a lot of mess to clear up.

Again, the more I thought about it later, the luckier I realized I'd been. (Since then, I've been securing all the other nearby trees, some of which are leaning alarmingly but still standing, with a cat's cradle of back-anchored ropes.)

3)
But here's the kicker. This next incident was almost ridiculously impossible. :)

Some readers will understand the importance of the timing belt on a car, which synchronizes a number of fast-moving steel moving parts so that they don't all crash into one another when the engine is fired up. If the timing belt ever breaks wile the engine is running, 99% of the time this does catastrophic damage to the whole engine which can often be irreparable.

That's why it's strongly advised to change the timing belt regularly according to the service schedule, usually something between every 60,000 and 100,000 miles. It's really the most important thing never to omit to do.

So a few weeks ago I took my ancient (but still strong) 39-year-old Isuzu Trooper to my mechanic because one of the spark plugs was misfiring — a cheap, quick, super-simple thing to figure out and fix.

When he was moving the cylinder orientation carefully by hand, inch by inch and extremely slowly (just to check the compression) ‚ the timing belt suddenly broke.

Zero damage was done, as the engine wasn't started and working. My mechanic, who is hugely experienced, was laughing and laughing. He'd never once see anything like that in all his life.

The timing belt wasn't 'old'. It'd done about 35,000 miles, half way through its life. There was just that one 'engine revolution' in all that time, when the belt broke. So I did some math. :)

In 35,000 miles, at an average speed of (say) 40 mph, the average no. of revolutions per minute of the engine might have been (say) 2,000 rpm. So I estimated how many revolutions the engine had probably made in those 35,000 miles.

Here's the calculation:

35,000 miles at 40 mph = 875 hours = 52,500 minutes.
At 2,000 rpm, that's 105,000,000 revolutions.

So the odds of my timing belt breaking exactly when it did was about 1 in 100 million.

That's why my mechanic was laughing in disbelief. I really do think the angels stepped in to help. They probably broke the belt for me at that moment, so it would NOT have happened 20 minutes later when I was driving home, which would have wrecked the entire engine and cost me $5,000—$10.000 for a new car.

I kept the broken belt as a souvenir. Here it is. :)

Wow, what are the odds indeed, Bill!

I remember doing one of those stupid things that kids do when I was 10, I think; at a friend's house, we got up onto the garage roof and were just hanging out there and messing around.

At one point I looked down - my heel was about half an inch from the edge of the garage. If I had taken another step back I would have been seriously injured. I'm sure that someone or something in the ether urged me to look!

Not quite as dramatic, but I was once in M&S to buy a couple of things. When I studied the receipt, to my amazement I'd spent 11 pounds at 11am on the 11th month....

Bill, I hope I am not taking this thread off topic, but I must tell a quick story about angels that has only just happened to me. I have been thinking about angels for about a month now. Let me explain.

I'm curious whether people genuinely believe in angels or if it's simply a euphemism for good luck happening at just the right moment. I have a few stories I plan to share later, but first, something that just happened to me. For the record, I actually do believe in angels, but it is not something that I really ever think about.

I've always admired and sometimes felt a bit jealous of people who have a strong, unwavering faith. Over the years, I've wondered how they developed such a deep belief in God. Is their faith truly genuine? Do they use it as a kind of insurance policy for heaven? Is their faith a form of virtue signalling, or is it real?

I've always believed in God, especially when considering the evidence for intelligent design versus evolution. It seems like a no-brainer to me, but my faith has always been somewhat casual. I was raised Catholic, but I stopped regularly attending church and only went occasionally when I felt like it.

Then, Charlie Kirk was assassinated. I knew who he was and had watched many of his videos. His political words always resonated with me, and I unknowingly glanced over his religious words. After he died, I paid closer attention. I was impressed by his deep faith, he came across as honest and sincere, with no false pretense. I was moved by this, and for the first time, I decided to pray about finding my own deeper faith.

Praying isn't something I usually do. When someone gets sick or a family member passes away, I often tell people I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers. I genuinely spend a moment thinking about them and silently praying for their well-being. But when Charlie Kirk died, I said a silent prayer, asking to find a way to develop that kind of strong, undeniable faith.

The next morning, I woke up with a feeling, something told me to go to church to find the answers. That Sunday, I went to church expecting nothing in particular. As the sermon began, the priest asked, "Are you trying to find your faith? Do you wonder how you can develop a strong, deep faith?" To say I was mesmerised is a bit of an understatement. He had my attention.

His answer was simple: "You are not alone. Ask God to send you angels, and they will help you find the faith you're seeking." He spoke at length about angels, sharing example after example. He told the congregation (and, personally, me) that the answers I was searching for are right in front of me; I just need to ask. The priest went on to say that we don't know how many angels there are, but if you ask, God will always respond by sending you the spiritual help you need in the form of angels that are very much real. He went on to say that we are never alone and that help is at hand, but we had to ask.

I am working on the deep faith part, and I have asked for spiritual help, and I must admit that I feel a sense of relief and an overwhelming sense that all will be put right in the world, and it has restored my faith in humanity.

This THREAD title is very good "protection" against the dark season we go into: Halloween

I just cant counted how many times I was "lend a hand"...after years and years I began to "think" that I'm "protected"... why and what for, no clue...

Today I think that we are sometimes simple "attacked" from the" Dark Forces" simple because we are too strong! (poor or none LOOSH to collect...)

As kid survived all the maladies and accidents but some give me some scars... I take it as trophies.

One of them:

I think I was 5 years old playing with my neighbor "children", they were at least 5 years older than me ...

Where we lived was a 2 floors big apartments, 2 up and 2 down were I and the other children's lived ,the entrance from the street got 2 doors, first was a metal door and the second was a revolve glass door used only in winter.

I don't know the name in English from that game, but something to run and "catch" someone...well they were bigger and speedy than me, they went forward and when they came to the glass door they just
smashed behind them in my direction!

I went trough the glass with my arms extend forward ... and in the last mini second I pull my head between the "knives" glass around my neck ...

Just for some 2 millimeters dint cut my arteries...that was "lending a hand"...

From that day we dint talk a word with our neighbors again...

Just in high school the mother from those children was one of my professors...

The more integrated one becomes, (or _we_ become), the more these miraculous events become commonplace.
Just focusing on these posts will open doors for miracles.
Everything is perfect when you think it’s perfect.

Yesterday my glasses broke. The little screw was missing. I searched everywhere for it, retracing my steps.
And today, while picking up the pieces to throw them away, there was a tiny screw, right next to them. It wasn’t there before. There is simply no logical
explanation.

1) A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with cancer. Although he went for regular screenings, the cancer was missed due to medical malpractice. The variant he contracted is rare (5%) and easily treatable – 95% of all patients have a more dangerous variant with a very poor survival rate.

2) Another friend of mine was involved in an accident in which an SUV lost traction and flew in his direction. He describes how he experienced the situation as if in slow motion and veered off the flight path – the SUV missed him by a whisker, otherwise he probably wouldn't have survived.

3) A friend of mine wanted to take a plane trip – he was at the airport on time, but his friend was delayed that day, so he decided to wait for his friend, causing them both to miss the flight. The plane crashed – there were no survivors.

I was about four years old, and we were on my way to my grandparents' house. A short distance, less than a mile downhill to the main road where they lived. My parents walked behind, my mum pushing a pram with my baby sister inside, me out in front on one of those kiddie tricycles. This hill was not a steep grade, but a slope nonetheless; at the bottom, a T-junction and the busy, noisy main road, an A-road that ran through our village. It was a bright sunny day on the weekend. Though not a workday, the main road at the bottom of the hill was busy as it always is every single day.

I was having a wonderful time racing down this hill, a residential street lined with houses. I of course held to the pavement, the row of houses to my right. I still acutely remember rising and falling, rising and falling, as I crossed the dropped curb of each successive driveway, my little tricycle gathering pace.

I only became aware of the danger when I heard the frantic calls of my mother behind me -- way behind me. I was going too fast. I was getting too far away. Ahead, traffic rushing left to right, right to left, less than fifty yards and closing. And I couldn't stop.

Neither could I brake. The bike didn't have any brakes! I heard my Dad shouting, "Put your feet down!" His panicked tone told me I was in serious danger. Put my feet down. I put my feet down, my little sandals scraping the ground. Even today, some fifty years later, I can still see, as I looked down, the grey blur rushing beneath me. I wasn't strong enough or heavy enough to grip that tarmac...I just kept on going, and going, headlong towards the main road.

I don't remember exactly what I was thinking or feeling in that moment. Too young for notions of mortality. But I do recall a sense of futility, of powerlessness, and my mother's voice, fading now, screaming out my name.

Suddenly, when all seemed lost, I came to an abrupt stop. In front of me stood a man and a woman, the man's hand gripping the crossbar of my tricycle. They had appeared out of nowhere, as if by magic, and stopped me dead -- yards from the main road which I was about to run out into.

According to my mother later, they saw what was happening, dashed across the road and grabbed me before I hit the main road, preventing what could have been (probably would have been) a serious if not fatal accident. Interestingly though, my saviours were unknown to my mother, and she never learned their identity. We lived in a small community, a village, where everybody knew everybody, especially my mother, who was born there. At the time, I think she was too upset to offer more than a simple thank you. They turned up, this young couple, saved my life and vanished again. My mother had never seen them before, and she never saw them again. To this day (now 87) my mother calls them angels. And yeah, so do I.

When I was living in London, one of my closest friends and a guy that I worked with was picking up his daughter after ballet rehearsal. At that time, she was either 14 or 15 years old. (She is now a dentist, which makes me feel old!) Anyway, she got into the car and sat in the front passenger seat for the ride home. They were on the M25, traveling at around 70 mph.

She told her dad that she was going to recline the seat all the way back to rest on the way home. She leaned the seat back to the full reclined position. As soon as she laid her head back, a piece of 8-foot-long rebar, a hard, straight metal rod that must have fallen off a truck, shot through the front passenger window and exited through the back window. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

They had owned the car for several years, and her dad told me that no one had ever put the seat back in the full reclined position. To this day, he swears that it was an angel that intervened to save his daughter's life.

I probably posted this story somewhere before, but this is the perfect thread to revisit:

Years ago I worked as a bartender in a busy restaurant. After a double-shift (and something like 4 am in the morning) I was on my the way home from work--delirious and tired. I could barely keep my eyes open. But the roads were mostly empty that time in the morning. Still, I was driving through a suburban neighborhood and there were intersections and traffic lights to negotiate, even though the roads were empty.

The speed limit was 45 mph -- but I was anxious to get home (again, empty roads and tired). I'm sure I was going at least 55 mph. The context of my mental state is important to the story; I had just worked a 14 hour shift and was drifting in-and-out of consciousness, like a dream state, not far removed from falling asleep behind the wheel. I probably shouldn't have been driving at all.

Suddenly, something jolted me out of my half-consciousness as I approached an intersection. I was going 55 mph and was about to run a green light! Something in my mind convinced me green meant stop! I can't say this was an higher-calling telling me to stop; it was more like reality inverted for a second and my mundane understanding of reality interpreted the green light as a stop signal, that I was about to disobey the law and do something potentially unsafe to me and/or other drivers on the road. So I slammed on the brakes, came to a screeching halt sideways into the middle of the intersection, tires scalding with the smell of burnt rubber rising in the smoke.

No sooner had I come to a screeching halt when a southbound car zoomed through the intersection, barely missing me. The incoming car--going what I estimate to be at least 80 mph--had run the red light!

It's hard for me to explain how or why this happened. But I'm sure I had averted what would have been a deadly collision. Needless to say, I had plenty of adrenaline to make it home after that, completely awake and aware....

bill, quite a timing belt story. very fortunate and I think your guides could be watching

My son had a 1966 Mustang, and believe me, it was on its last legs.. A very dangerous thing happened. My son opened the hood while the engine was running and asked his friend behind the wheel to bring up the revs. He needed to figure out a problem.

a rare and dangerous thing happened, his friend revved the engine too high as my son was looking straight down from above at the fan belt and fan. suddenly, one of the blades on the fan broke off !!! he was beyond blessed that it went straight down to the ground rather then up into his face or neck. wow !! we think about it often.

I had a car incident too, that I chill to recall.
As a young family, we had some mechanic work just completed on our car and all seemed fine when we picked it up.
But later that day, we were driving on the Pennsylvania turnpike with the babies in their car seats in the back seat. I forget where we were heading, but we were traveling in traffic around 65-70mph.

Suddenly, we had a complete loss of steering control, with the steering wheel just spinning and no control whatsoever! My then husband was freaking out, and I immediately hit the emergency flashers, as he tapped the breaks to at least slow us down. And somehow, with all my might, intent, and body too, I jerked myself repeatedly to the right so we would wind up on the shoulder and out of traffic. And that is just what happened. We gently drifted to the shoulder where he has able to stop the car. In retrospect, I can't imaging that my weight could actually influence the drift of the car, but it worked.
Apparently, we had totally lost the cotter pin that holds the steering mechanism together. That mechanic had not replaced it right to keep it from falling out. grrrrrr

I don't think I ever actually encountered an "angel", but I do feel something higher always seems to keep me safe. Most every time I have had a close call, time has very much perceivably slowed down for me, so I was able to do exactly what was needed. Afterwards, I am floored as to how I did what I did. But I have learned to trust that it happens, and I feel safe and lucky most always.

I had been renting a one bedroom apartment that was situated over a garage next door to my landlady's house, the woman who owned both buildings.
I had given notice that I was moving and had all my things packed and ready to go on the morning of moving day, after a night of rain.
It was early on that moving day morning just as I was getting up, that a tree fell over and crashed into the roof of the apartment.
There were big tree branches on the wooden outdoor stairway that led from the kitchen down into the yard, but luckily they weren't so big they couldn't be moved, and once that was accomplished it wasn't too difficult to carry all my packed boxes down to the moving van.
But the tree trunk that had crashed onto the roof was enormous and after I was all moved out, the landlady had to hire someone with a chain saw to deal with it.
The damage was severe and too expensive to repair enough to restore the upstairs to apartment status again.
That was some timing! :clock:

Many years ago I was driving down a steep road cut into a mountain and suddenly out of nowhere a vision appeared showing me a cut in on the high side with a couple of those little white posts. I thought what is this? Next minute, going around a bend two cars were approaching me going up the hill with one overtaking another. A sure headon crash was imminent and there was the cut in and suddenly I was directed to steer into the cut in on a particular side of the first post as there was a rock on the other side of it. I veered in and was again directed to go back onto the road on a particular side of the 2nd post, as there was a ditch on the other side. I safely made it back onto the road with the sound of screeching behind me. A voice said just keep going and I did.

Years later I was crossing a road on foot at traffic lights and a car came around a corner. I suddenly saw myself lying on the road with my head split open and was dead. Then as the car approached I could see a look of horror on the drivers face and a voice inside me said,Jump, now! I jumped up and landed on the mud guard and slid toward the drivers window then as she braked I spun vertically 3 times and landed on my feet and in the shock of it all I kept walking with the driver yelling at me asking if I was ok. I nodded at her and kept going. I sorta felt like James Bond

Way back in the past I've had an experience where a voice in my head told me "DO NOT DRINK THIS BEER". At this time I was with a group of people I did not know very well in a Pub and I was invited to a beer, the voice started talking to me the moment i was thinking about drinking my first sip. I was wondering what was going on and ignored the voice to try the beer just one time and decided to wait. After a few minutes I started to feel slightly dizzy and drugged. I left the pub and went home. I am sure if i had drunk more or even the entire glass I would have been knocked out, who knows what would have happened. This event teached me to listen to the voice.

Was it an angel, a guide or my higher self? I dont know but this voice has been part of my life ever since.

Surely an ego-baiting thread, but I’ll play.

1. Two-odd years ago I was pushed off my skateboard across (slow) traffic lanes, coming to a stop with a car LF tire against my head. Stood up and felt my skull for obvious cracks, said thanks to the driver then gathered hat and board and continued on home.

2. Woke up on my motorbike, crossing from Ontario province westward, cozy and late from idling the bike for heat. Kawasaki Concours with custom fairing and rear hard-bags and a wide gas tank, ample side-~cupped shape for a bed. Draped a nylon shelter-sheet over me+bike to catch the heat.

Shut off the bike (inline 4-cylinder, liquid cooled with a regular radiator, 997 cc) and looked around. This was at a truck stop on the main highway. Quickly saw a curious little black lump, and Lo and behold it was one of two rubber front mounts for the gas tank!

Turns out, the tank had been pressurized by the hours of heat, and I guess whatever pressure release valve was malfunctioning, and it had deformed enough to spring that. Tank did start dripping later on which I fixed, first with JB Weld then with hot brass. I realized right away, that I’d dodged a bullet, was thankful to the Life.

I wonder if this thread is the place to discuss angels in general, including when they don’t appear to “save the day”. Like, what part do WE play, what might be called OUR responsibility, in the workings of what we call angels?

Another one...

My first girlfriend visit my apartment many times, this was in an avenue with trees and normal traffic, and many restaurants and sometimes noisy...

Sometimes accompany to her home (7streets) trough a less noisy parallel street, but I don't know WHY, NOT THAT NIGHT...

That was in the ARGENTINA TERROR TIMES...

When we were at the first corner/intersection suddenly a terrible explosion blow up the entire opposite corner 120 m away, exactly where we could be if I had choose that path...the expansive wave brought us on the floor...

Later on knew the story: it was a men hair salon , were his owner was tie to his salon chair with dynamite ...courtesy from paramilitary fascists forces, his crime? well , "subversive" propaganda with his clients...

The Guardian Angel –
1) An angel assigned by God to a person at Baptism to protect him from evil and help him in good deeds;
2) (in a broad sense) an angel who nurtures any person, any human community, country, people, etc.

The evidence of the Holy Scriptures is the basis for faith in the care of special Guardian Angels. The protective ministry of Angels is mentioned, for example, in Psalm 90.: "He will command his angels about you, to guard you in all your ways: they will carry you in their arms, so that you will not stumble over a stone with your foot." (Ps. 90:11-12). The righteous of the Old Testament had guardian angels (Gen.48:16). The Savior was talking about Angels assigned to individual people: "Take heed that you do not despise any of these little ones; for I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 18:10).
The belief in the existence of such Angels is evidenced by the miraculous case of the Apostle Peter's release from prison (Acts 1:16).12:7-17). The people who were in the house of Mary, John Mark's mother, did not believe the maidservant who claimed that the apostle Peter, who had previously been taken into custody, had been released and was standing at the door of the house, and believed that it was his Angel (Acts 1:16).12:15).
Some of the Angels, according to St. Peter. St. John of Damascus, "they protect the regions of the earth; and they govern the peoples and countries according to what the Creator has commanded them." In the book of Daniel, such angels are called the "princes" of the Jewish, Greek, and Persian kingdoms (Dan.10:13-21). The "Orthodox Confession of the Catholic and Apostolic Church of the East" states that Angels "are entrusted with the care and care of cities, kingdoms, countries, monasteries, churches, spiritual and secular people."
Guardian angels, according to St. Peter. St. John of Damascus, "they manage our affairs and help us." The guardian angel never completely leaves a person, because he constantly needs protection. At the same time, sometimes, following the divine definition, an Angel allows a person to experience sorrow and fall into sin. Based on the gospel account of the rich man and Lazarus, it is believed that Angels carry the souls of the departed righteous to their place of posthumous habitation (Luke 16:22). In the word "On the exodus of the soul and on the Second Coming" It is said about the Angels accompanying the soul on the posthumous ordeal.
To whom and when does God give a Guardian Angel?
The final prayer of the canon to the Guardian Angel testifies that the Guardian Angel is given "from holy baptism" - spiritual birth, and the 7th canto of this canon indicates how long: "from God given by me forever."
"Those who have been baptized and ascend to the height of virtues are given by God Angels who take care of them and help them. The Lord assures us of this when He says that everyone who believes in Him has Guardian Angels" (Rev. Anastasia Sinait).

The participation of a Guardian Angel in the life of a Christian
"If there were no Guardian Angels and mentors among good, pious people, then demons would destroy the entire human race-if, that is, the Lord allowed them to do whatever they pleased with people: for the malice of demons towards people is immeasurable and their envy of man has no limits, for man was created according to in the image of God and destined for the inheritance of eternal life in the place of the fallen angels" (holy righteous John of Kronstadt).
Close and kindred to humans by their spiritual nature and by God's mercifully wise appointment, Angels in general and Guardian Angels in particular take a lively and active part in our destiny. Guardian angels do everything for us that serves our true well-being and salvation. Invisibly staying with us all the time, they guide us to salvation, not only at our request mysteriously guide us to all that is good and useful, not only lift up our prayers to God, but also protect and protect us from ourselves from enemies visible and invisible and intercede for us before God. That is why the Orthodox Church teaches us to honor and invoke our Guardian Angels in our prayers as our closest spiritual mentors and patrons.
But, as God Himself appointed invisible mentors, guardians and protectors to man, we do not know the private name of each Guardian Angel individually, and since the Guardian Angel is a good spirit who did not live a human earthly life, the Orthodox Church cannot assign each Guardian Angel a separate day of public remembrance of his holy charity, spiritual life, and obliges us to turn to his patronage and protection privately, in our daily prayers at home.

The Guardian Angel
Archimandrite John (Krestyankin)
Guardian angels are servants of our salvation, so we are not alone in our earthly life, in our labors to save our immortal souls. We firmly know that our helpers are with us, protecting us from all kinds of troubles that we encounter on the path of life, and from the wrath of God that each of us deserves. Our Guardian Angel is an infinitely loving being. He loves us with all the fullness of his love. And his love is great, and its effect is strong, because when he contemplates God, he sees eternal Love that desires our salvation.
Our Guardian Angel is like our second mother. He has the same care for us, and even more. Our mother takes special care of us while we are in infancy and childhood. Our Guardian Angel, from the moment of our baptism until the last days of our life, is our caring mentor. And if we do not push him away from us during our earthly life, he will lead our soul to worship God when the time comes for the soul to separate from the body.
Our Guardian Angels are powerful with their personal prowess, powerful with the power they have received from God, and powerful with the prayers they send to the Most High God for us.
Everything that is good, pure, and bright in us: every good thought, every kind movement of the heart, our prayer, repentance, and good deeds – all this is born and performed in us at the suggestion of our invisible Guardian Angel. Acting through our conscience and our heart, it is he, our Angel, who keeps us from sin and temptation, it is he who helps us fight temptations, it is he who inspires us with fear of the grave fall.
The Guardian Angel given to us is like our expanded and open conscience. He's doing his best to save us, and we have no right to stop him from doing so. We must help him in his efforts to save us. We must ask him to enrich our minds with an abundance of holy thoughts, to strengthen in us the habit of pious reflection. We must love him as our elder and strong brother. But in fact, we so often forget about him, we do not pray to him, we offend his sanctity with our sins, and he shows his concern for us again and again. He intercedes for us before the mercy of God, he pleads with God for our needs, and the Heavenly Father will never refuse his requests.
But why do the Angels of God take such care of people?
Firstly, because they are servants of God and have been commanded by God to protect and save people. Secondly, they themselves are God's creations, and words relate to them just as they do to people.: Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful (Luke 6:36). They understand this and try, imitating their Creator and God, to show both their mercy and their long-suffering to people..
What joy it gives them to save the souls that Christ redeemed with His Blood and who (with their help) will share their glory and their bliss with them!
If we were even a little more empathetic, we would notice how carefully our Guardian Angel helps us return to the path of salvation through repentance. He not only encourages us to repent, but he also promises to remind us of all our sins, all the mistakes and mistakes of life.
Our Guardian Angels, messengers to us from God, travel unhindered and quickly from God to us and from us to God (as long as our deeds do not interfere with this). They come from God to us in order to bring us His grace; they also ascend from us to God in order to convey to Him our prayers and thanks.
How close our Guardian Angel must be to each of us! How much trust we should have in him! During our lifetime, we can tell him the innermost secrets of our soul. Those secrets that we would not trust to the closest people. And this is because in the Guardian Angel we see the wisest in advice, the most selfless in love and help, gentle in affection for us, caring in our needs.

From the morning prayer rule:
Prayer IX, to the Holy Guardian Angel:
O holy angel that standeth by my wretched soul and my passionate life, forsake not me a sinner, nor shrink from me because of mine intemperance. Give no place for the cunning demon to master me through the violence of my mortal body, strengthen my poor and feeble hand, and guide me in the way of salvation. Yea, O holy angel of God, guardian and protector of my wretched soul and body, forgive me all wherein I have offended thee all the days of my life; and if I have sinned during the past night, protect me during the present day, and guard me from every temptation of the enemy, that I may not anger God by any sin. And pray to the Lord for me, that He may establish me in His fear, and show me, His servant, to be worthy of His goodness. Amen.

From the Evening prayer rule:
Prayer X, to the Holy Guardian Angel
O Angel of Christ, my holy guardian and protector of my soul and body, forgive me all wherein I have sinned this day, and deliver me from all opposing evil of mine enemy lest I anger my God by any sin. Pray for me, a sinful and unworthy servant, It that thou mayest show me forth worthy of the kindness and mercy of the All‑holy Trinity, and of the Mother of my Lord Jesus Christ, and of all the saints. Amen.

Do the unbaptized have a guardian Angel?
In the book of Job, it says: "If he has (a sinner whom God has punished with illness) An angel is a mentor, one of a thousand, to show a man his straight path, God will have mercy on him and say: free him from the grave, I have found propitiation. Then his body will become fresher than in his youth, he will return to the days of his youth, he will pray to God, and He is merciful to him, looks with joy on his face and restores his righteousness to man. He will look at people and say: I have sinned and turned the truth and I will not be rewarded, he has freed my soul from the grave and my life sees the light. God does all these things two or three times to a man in order to lead his soul away from the grave and enlighten him with the light of the living" (Job 33:22-30). Even in the Old Testament, the ratio was one guardian angel per thousand sinners. We don't know what the ratio is now. In the rite of Baptism, there is a special request that God grant man a guardian Angel. And so we know that a guardian angel is given to every person at Baptism. That's the difference, in this matter, between the baptized and the unbaptized. There is only one Guardian Angel per thousand unbaptized. But there are cases when God specifically sends a guardian angel to an unbaptized person to fulfill some special will. This happens if God has appointed such a person as a ruler, some kind of ruler, or anyone else. God also sends an Angel to him to manifest his will through him. For example, this is how God acted on Pharaoh, on Nebuchadnezzar, on Balaam. This goal is to save the person himself, if possible, if he wants to, and if he does not want to, then through him to fulfill some kind of His will to save other people.

I flew to Germany to meet a girl. After taking the train from Frankfurt to Stuttgart, we exited the station to blizzard-like conditions and rain-swept streets. I remember commenting on the curious baggage carrier moving alongside the stairs and she stopped to say something funny and we both laughed before plunging headlong into the elements. We tried to catch the bus across the street but the busy traffic kept us back. Catching the next one, it started off and we were happy to be out of the rain and snow. After driving up the winding hills, just before our stop, the bus suddenly came to a stop in the middle the street. Everyone began looking around in curiosity. Up ahead, at the next intersection, the bus we’d just missed had been crushed by something. We exited the bus and looked up. An entire section of the roof from the five-story corner building had torn off and landed on the bus. Only the front end of the bus remained, the rest flattened. We stood there taking this all in for a moment as an awning from a nearby building whipped and lashed repeatedly smashing into the building, metal supports ripped free, the awning refusing to let go. We gave each other a look of acknowledgment at how close we’d come to being on that bus then pushed on to her place just up the street. In a way, we were saved by her sense of humor, and my curiosity, and maybe a little help from the angels…

Years ago in my twenties I was working in the west end of Toronto and I had signed up for a business seminar class that was near downtown and in an area I wasn’t familiar with nor was I familiar with the college campus where I had to go for class in the evening after work.

I drove there because there was no bus or subway routes to that area. When I got there the college parking lot was full so I went and parked on the street. Where I parked there were a row of parked cars and one empty spot so I took it.
I quickly got my stuff and hurriedly went inside as I was almost late.

It was almost 10:00 pm by the time I got back to the car. It was quite cold and noone insight and the street was pretty dark. What I didn't realize earlier was that I had parked the car on frozen ice so when I started the car up and tried to leave the tires would spin but no traction. I couldnt get the car to move.

No sooner did I get out of the car to figure out which direction to walk to find a bus stop or whatever, I hear a cheery voice. It was this nice elderly lady, and she stood in the doorway to her house where my car was parked, and she said, “why don’t you come and wait inside. I’m making some tea and I already called a taxi for you.”

In disbelief I went inside to wait, and a few minutes later there was a knock on the door, the taxi guy had arrived. The lady explained what had happened to me and the taxi guy said, “wait a minute let me try”, I handed him the car key and again to my disbelief he comes in a couple of minutes later to let me know my car was out and ready to go. From what I remember he didn’t have any sand to put on the ice but he got the car out.

I was so relieved but still in shock and I thanked them both so much, and they were smiling and seemed amused but Boy was I grateful to both of them. I got in the car and made my way home, I thought my heart was gonna burst. Such good strangers (or maybe earth angels), showing me such kindness:heart:

In early July 1995, I sat in the yard for a few hours switching back and forth between reading "Seth Speaks" by Jane Roberts and "A Scanner Darkly" by Philip K. Dick in the shade of a fair sized ailanthus tree about 15 feet behind me. The shade had moved during that time, so I moved the chair back into the shade, and about 15 seconds after I sat back down that tree broke off about 10 feet up and everything above that came crashing down right where I had just been. The bottom end of that chunk of tree was about 14 inches in diameter. It missed my head by maybe 3 feet.

Angels? Maybe. Who knows?

Thank you all for such an important post. In this interesting time (which we chose to experience...) surrounded by darkness it is extremely important for us to realize we are not alone and guided by loving relatives, angels. guides, what have you. The more one is aware, the more we see the miracles around us and it is really good to feel the gratitude.

I have experienced so many miracles in my life that I see a new example of this guidance almost every day (when I dare to pay attention...)

My latest example was just yesterday when I was looking for a wire stripping tool. I knew I owned 2 pair of high quality, but could not find them. All that was left was a 3rd pair wich was really poor quality, not functioning and would aggravate the life out me. As I was grumbling away and begrudgingly threw out the bad pair, I decided to look in my late father's old tool box once again for something else, and lo and behold, in the top tray, there was a pair of new green handled wire strippers which I don't recollect ever seeing before, let alone own. My mood changed immediately, I felt the love and was gently reminded how everything is looked after...

As some of you know, my life has been intertwined with the angelic realm for the past 30 years. Thus, I have lots of stories of things that have happened over that time. Right now, I am thinking about my first visit to the Grand Canyon with a girlfriend, when I was about 65. Although my friend was about four years younger, she was in much better shape, since she was an airline hostess, and had been for many years.

When we entered the national park, we told the attendant that we were staying at a hotel inside the park for about four days. The attendant warned us that because the park was 7,000 feet above sea level, to be careful about climbing into the canyon the first few days, until we became acclimated. We had planned to descend about halfway down the canyon during our stay. But the following day, when she saw that I couldn't even climb 12 outside stairs, she told me to forget about climbing into the canyon. I told her that I still planned to hike down with her. Meanwhile, I spoke with my angel team, and asked them to assist me in climbing back to the rim when needed. I got their agreement, but didn't tell her about this. So by the third day, we descended 2,500 feet into the canyon, and then started back up. My friend went ahead, thinking that it would take me more than an hour to return, she left me to go at my own speed. Thus when I climbed to the rim in 15 minutes, arriving just a few minutes after she had reached the top, and I was not winded, she just couldn't fathom how I did it. At the time I laughed, and I never told her my secret.

Bumping this thread with this one from 2019, in which members shared a whole bunch of incidents when it really seemed that 'angels' (or something, or someone!) definitely lent a hand to save the day.

Bill, your timing belt story, I had the same thing happen to me, sorta...

I was working on our old CRV and unwittingly, unseeingly and unhearingly dropped a small metal tube spacer that it made its way pinball-like down to the crankshaft sprocket in between belt and pulley. I went to start it, and it sounded like it had no spark plugs in it!..The nut broke the belt instantly. Thankfully no piston to valve contact happened. That was weird...Really dumb problem.

Not to piss on your story, just reminded me of that incident! :)

Just thought I would mention this here.

We all know the term "Take a step back" Well this is a very old phrase and it was used when someone was becoming extremely overwhelmed by what was coming towards them (from the future etc) and one couldn't cope with it.

The person would actually breathe out and physically look down at their feet and take a step backward asking humbly for protection. It was a step into their Guardian Angel which would help bear the brunt. A small step back into their Angel or a large step back behind their Angel.

They would then also use the term "sleep on it" and in the morning would often gain insights.

It is good to ask for their help, I often do, As it is said"Ask and ye shall receive"

Remembering Mashika :rose:

When we were posting each other I called her Masha ,her real name, she told me that" Mashika" was a putting together from Masha/Malisa, her second name...together something like a "pet" name...

3 years ago!... when I found out how ill she was I began to ruminate the post called "Prayers for Masha"...in no way sure how to come to a definitive post/message for avalonians...

It was Summer, coming back home from my favorite lake by bike, just trough 1 from the 2 way possible from years... from both ways knew all the shops and bars, etc

Ruminating all the way if I could produce a post that could "help"her in any way, difficult for my self too to "believe" it...I just decide not to do it.

Minutes after my decision something happens... we can call it synchronicity/ coincidence or "lending a hand" maybe?... I just changed 1 street for another and I couldn't believe my eyes...

There stand a shop with a BIG name : Masha

??? it was something like a breakfast Bar,close but 2 people siting outside, I ask her if that was a Russian place/Bar/whatever... (I know that name , from many old Russian movies) the woman answer : no, "American" breakfast shop...(I tough ...ironic...)

Later went again there and it seems close, just ready to rent /sold, etc.

From all the country's and places I was in my life, never saw a place/Bar/shop/whatever... with that name...just there, the first !

Well, that was like a call for me : do it!

PS: That post is for Avalon members only, under Forum: Meditation, Healing and Prayer, page 2.

This healing occurred around 2004, when I was working as an energy healer. For this retelling, I have changed the names. One day I had a new client from Texas, who was testing my abilities to see if I could help her seriously ill niece. I asked, “What’s wrong with her?” Martina explained that her niece was suffering from sickle cell anemia and was in such serious condition that she might die from it. I said that the best way for me to help her would be for me to talk to her niece directly, or at least have a live telephone connection to her hospital room, so I could adjust the energy there. Martina said that she would try to arrange this as soon as possible. Within a few days I got a call from her. She was in her niece’s hospital room. Her niece was semi-conscious, and the hospital had notified all relatives to come and say their goodbyes.

Among the relatives there, Martina spoke English, but the others mainly spoke Spanish. I started to work on Martina’s niece by going through my usual procedures of removing negativity. Then I told Martina I wished to remove a suicidal soul from her niece’s body, one of her multiples. I warned Martina not to tell her relatives anything about the removal of a soul, as I didn’t think they would understand the idea of multiple souls. I feared that her family would not be open to any discussions of spirits, much less to exorcisms. Martina felt awkward about keeping this secret, but complied. Once my guides had removed that particular depressed soul, there was less reason for Martina’s niece to be so ill. Several weeks later I received an email report from Martina about what they had experienced that day:

“As you know, my niece was born with sickle cell anemia and since birth she's had many, many hospitalizations. They've put in a valve near her heart that kept getting infected. She never developed. (Her body wasn't growing right, and her brain, or mental faculties remained those of a 6-7 year old). At the time of your healing, she was hospitalized and the doctor told us to gather around her, ‘cause she wasn’t going make it! I was desperate! I was so not ready to let her go! And I cried, and asked the Lord with as much emotional energy as I could muster, to send me somebody that would help her release all this disease - to give my little Lucita a second chance to grow tall and smart and good... Immediately after falling apart like this, I went to the ‘net to search for a healer, for an answer, for something to hang on to. I was at the end of my rope… so desperate... I don't even remember what I wrote that brought me to your website... I just remember going through the steps of calling you and being surprised that you actually answered! Then I told my family that I would need to make a phone call from Lucita's bed. I did not tell them what you were going to do or what your area of expertise was... I just told them that you were a healer from Australia and that I had paid you to help Lucita from a distance! So, here we were: me, my mother, my sister, Lucita's mother and father (Lucita's father is my younger brother) gathered around Lucita to say good bye.

I dialed your number and put Lucita on the phone as you had instructed. My mother got up and stood at the end of the bed and held Lucita's feet. As you were praying for Lucita, my mother seemed to go into a trance and rocked back and forth with her eyes closed. She said an angel showed her with pictures and a few words that Lucita needed help and that my mother should help pull out the bad spirits from her. As my mother related all of this, I couldn't help but feel astonished! I had said nothing, absolutely nothing to my mother regarding your spirit exorcism! And yet, she knew, she knew the exact number of bad spirits that needed to leave my niece and she knew exactly when this was going on! My mother said the angels told her to pull, but that she didn't quite understand "how" to pull or with what part of her body to "pull" with... She said she finally started swaying back and forth and felt as if something came over her... She felt relaxed, and loved... Needless to say, I was speechless, as was everybody in the room... We didn't know what to say or do. Eventually, my brother said that he couldn't understand a word you were saying to him on the phone (he speaks only Spanish!). But, he commented on how professional of you to hire an interpreter to make sure he understood your words... I told him you didn't have anybody else in the room, but this didn't seem to stop him from believing that there was somebody else in the room that was helping you to help him.

When we finished with Lucita and passed the phone to my sister (who speaks English), and then to my sister-in-law (who does not speak English) and then to my brother, who also doesn't speak English... You prayed for all of them. At this point, we were not talking about angels or demons; we were just accepting your prayers. Afterwards, we hung up. We sat there, silently, until my mother burst out, as loud as she could, that she had seen Angels when you were praying for Lucita. She was so surprised to see these beings and to know that they spoke Spanish! She said the angel told her to hold Lucita's feet real good and to see the spirits that were leaving her - to command those spirits of disease and weakness to leave her body forever. My mom was so emotional: She couldn't believe it! And at the same time, she knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that Lucita was going to get better. Then my sister said that you prayed for her so beautifully. Then my sister-in-law said that "you" were a man that spoke Spanish! They argued like crazy about this! My sister said that the healer on the phone was female, and she spoke English. My sister-in-law insisted that the healer on the phone was male, and he spoke Spanish. Then my brother piped in and said that the healer on the phone was indeed a female but that she didn't speak English at all, but was completely fluent in Spanish! What? I said. What's going on? The awesome power of the Holy Spirit!! What an awesome way to show us that we were indeed witnessing a miracle. This touched all of us differently. I didn't know if you could take away these demons of disease and of weakness... how great and how wonderful that my mother confirmed that you were doing this.

Lucita did get better. Within minutes she was sitting up and talking! This is doubly mystifying because Lucita, up to this point, had only communicated to us with one-word comments, and this, only after much urging on our part. This is more or less what she said: I need to sit up, and drink something right away. I feel fine.
WE WERE AMAZED!!!
She was talking in whole sentences! She was being direct, speaking of her needs for the first time! Before this, she spent her life just sitting there quietly, not moving much and not doing much. So we didn't know what to do with a talking, assertive 16-year old! The doc came in and said she was doing much better, but that we should still wait and see. I said nothing further because now my sister-in-law piped in and stated that my brother was telling the truth…. that she also heard somebody else in the room talking in Spanish to her, translating your words…
Put yourself in my shoes. I couldn't hold on to my promise any longer. So, I told them what you had told me not to tell them. You know, about the "extra" spirits assailing Lucita and about how you didn't want anybody to know you intended to remove them for fear they might stop us from helping my niece. I told my mother I totally believed what she was saying about the angels helping Lucita and about how she somehow participated in getting her well by "pulling “. Everybody seemed surprised. How can this have happened? Mysteriously, my niece sat up in bed and told everyone, she felt fine. This is the young 16 year old girl that only hours earlier had flat-lined several times as her heart had swollen bad... she couldn't move, or talk... but wait, the miracles don't stop there...

By Sunday, she was discharged from the hospital. My mother called me to report that Lucita had called her and that, much to her surprise, Lucita was talking "normally “. You see, because she had been so sick, she had not developed like other kids. Her speech was often slurred and unintelligible. She often just pointed to things or muttered some sounds to make others understand her. Now, my mother said, Lucita was talking just like a 16-year-old would. Her voice was firm and intelligible... she expressed all her ideas to perfection, her thoughts, wants and desires... and I was delighted to hear this... I certainly didn't expect this sudden change but was grateful nonetheless.

I decided to write to let you know all of this and to thank you, thank you, thank you... for helping all of us receive a little bit of the divine and for allowing us to share in His glory. --Martina. Texas, USA”

I was as amazed as this family was at the enormous healing that had taken place. Nothing as dramatic as this healing had occurred in such a short span of time as what took place in that hospital room on that day. I later sometimes joked about this miracle when talking with friends, saying, “I only need one more miracle to qualify for sainthood in the Catholic Church. Too bad I am not Catholic."

back in April.

:stars::shooting star:

To be fair, if a dog is going to loose a sense, vision would affect them the least. Their primary sense is smell and how they navigate. Their vision is quite poor to begin with. Vision to a dog is like smell to us.

I once heard a story of a dog finding it's way home after being forgotten by the family a 1000 miles from home. He followed the sent of the car.

:) These recounts and links above share such beautiful, inspiring, incredible (eye-opening!) testaments to our lives serving a purpose and indicating we are important enough that someone, somewhere is looking out for us. Every day I observe my animals and family, the panorama of sky above, the hills around us with all the trees and flowers that we planted. I love and am grateful to be here..for one more sunrise...one more chance to hold and see and savor them. I don't want to leave this phenomenal world and the miracles surrounding us...not yet.

Not sure if it was already written in a different thread, but years ago during university, my boyfriend and I drove out along a desolate stretch of beach to look at the stars and listen to the ocean sounds in an attempt to hold onto our night just a little bit longer. We weren't quite ready to go back to the campus, yet. He had a tiny little sports car with dark windows, a broad sunroof and just enough room to put back the seats.

The drive was long and there was absolutely no one else for at least a few miles in either direction where we decided to stop. No street lights or signs, just tall, waving beach grass and the moon over water. We had pulled off into an unmarked area. Sand dunes completely obscured us from view on the road.

We laid back in the darkness listening to the waves crash, talked for a while and then slowly drifted to sleep. AT some point it felt chilly so we rolled up the windows to just a slight crack.

I began dreaming that I was in the same car- in the same place, sitting in the same seat and a killer was trying to get in on the driver's side. I dreamed a tall man had a crowbar and was leaning over to wedge open the door or break the window. All I could see in my dream was my boyfriend sleeping and the outline of the man's crotch and upper legs standing behind him, right outside the window.

Panicked, I thought, "Wake up! Wake him up!" but was terrified to find, as in many nightmares, that I couldn't move, articulate words or act. Terrified in the dream, I jolted awake suddenly (in reality) to look over and see almost exactly what I had seen in the dream: the silhouette of a thin man approaching just outside my boyfriend's window, his large belt buckle gleaming as he turned in the moonlight and a stick of some kind in his left hand. I whispered low and fast, "Aidan (not his actual name), Wake up, Aidan, wake up NOW, but don't move! There is a man outside your window, he is going to break in."

Aidan looked at me from the corner of his eyes without shifting his head or sitting forward and quietly slunk down further in his seat just enough to reach the steering wheel and pedals. He slid the key into the ignition silently, then in one swift motion revved it on and literally threw us into reverse burning tires in the sand to screech away. We drove quietly back to our campus, too wired and afraid of what had happened to sleep again. I do think someone was looking out for us that night, perhaps an angel...news was circulating of a potential serial killer in the region. I don't recall if we reported the incident, or not.

---
Another instance, happened in very recent years- though I am unsure if it's also been detailed in a different thread. Probably with less detail. I actually was afraid to post about it for a long time because I thought it had connection to a member of Avalon who we were speaking with at the time.

My fiance and I were driving back from the veterinarian with two dogs who had been spayed/neutered. We experienced an unusually, inexplicably emotional/stressful morning and barely made it to the sunrise appointment to drop them off. By afternoon, most of that stress eased and we were feeling triumphant that it turned out to be a really nice day.

After leaving the vet's office shortly past noonwith the dogs, we pulled onto the main road and stopped at the immediate intersection upon exit to wait for our light in order to turn left. It was beautiful outside. We had all our windows down. My fiance was driving, so I was sitting in the passenger seat, body turned, looking directly toward him and the oncoming cross-traffic, while we chatted about whether to get lunch in town. I was sort of passively watching cars approach behind his head as the light changed and we pulled out into the intersection.

To my horror, after initially slowing down for their red light, the huge new truck in front of that line of traffic revved its engine loudly and sped directly toward us as we entered the middle of the intersection, just like he was aiming to hit us.

I screamed and my fiance floored it, crashing us into a ditch diagonally across oncoming traffic at the other side of the 4 way, narrowly escaping a direct collision to the middle of our vehicle and his driver side door. The truck had sped onward and never stopped.

Our SUV landed on its side in the ditch, not quite flipping over. It took a while for us to climb back out onto the road and to calm the dogs who had been turned completely upside down in their crates and slid to the front. Everyone was okay, but we were all very nervous and shaky. We stayed a while to try and understand what appeared to have happened...stretching our legs and trying to recoup.

We then took our time entering the main road again and when we did, we drove very cautiously and slowly. Deciding to go straight home instead of into town, we turned onto the highway north and at the driver's side was another merging lane with cars entering slightly behind us, just to our rear left.

They could clearly see us in front of them and I could see the faces of all the people driving while watching the cars around us, feeling slightly paranoid. The very first vehicle (a little white car) that merged onto the road behind us not only sped up drastically, but crossed the lanes like it was being magnetically drawn toward us and swerved right into the driver side door. My fiance again floored the pedal to speed ahead thereby avoiding a massive collision and then pulled dramatically off the highway, where we watched as a stream of following cars passed, oblivious. There was only a faint, paintless dented streak to the side of the door and frame. Surprisingly nothing more severe.

It felt like we were being deliberately targeted. Two narrow misses in less than a mile. Something very strange was happening and we were more than a little rattled. With some deliberation, we agreed we would go as slowly and cautiously as possible to make it home, practically crawling there, and so waited until no other cars were in view before pulling back onto the highway.

We drove about 9 miles before coming to a circuitous canyon and were finally relieved to be away from traffic, people and the commotion of city goings-on. We let down our guard slightly while discussing how crazy the experience had been and that it felt like something was trying to get our attention. Or was it trying to kill us?
In any case we had been lucky. We didn't understand what was happening, but were going to play it safe looking ahead. We drove a bit further and agreed it was good to finally return to the wooded mountains, surrounded by nature. We could relax a little more.

I unbuckled my seat belt to lean forward and gain a better glimpse of what appeared to be a huge delta-positioned triangular shape on the opposite canyon wall which I had never noticed. Just as I mentioned out loud that there was something strange across the ravine and craned my neck to see it clearly, we arrived on a steep incline and were caught up behind a small, odd-looking 1940s-1960's (?) truck in our lane.

There had been no other vehicles as far as we could see in either direction, but we both felt a little apprehensive drawing near. My fiance vocalized his concern and said he would slow behind it to pass, narrating his options. I was still preoccupied, staring at the enormous triangle form and trying to fathom why I had never noticed it before.

We were driving at least 25 below the speed limit on this portion of the highway and just as he attempted to slow down even further, the little truck stopped in front of us suddenly. DEAD stopped.

30 feet became 15 and then 5 instantaneously when the truck was immediately immobile without brake lights or any warning.

We swerved violently off the highway to avoid slamming into it, braking hard and drifting uncontrollably on the shoulder's gravel until our right front tire dangled off the cliff and we inexplicably stopped. Something miraculously allowed us to halt our descent with the SUV literally teetering diagonally, nose down.

I had slammed up against the front window, and the dog crates, though they had been strapped down in the back, came flying onto the front seat.
AGAIN.

We were so certain in that split second that we were going to plunge into the canyon, it seemed reality had been suspended.

I realized I had wet myself and my fiance started vomiting after he saw we were no longer moving; instead paused precariously on the very, very edge of the rock where there was no railing. My body was pressed horizontally face-first against the windshield looking out the window, registering the 75+ ft of vertical drop and unsure whether it would be safe to move even a centimeter away from the dashboard, or if that small motion might make us plummet to the rocks below.

So we sat for what seemed like forever in that same position, in disbelief...asking the dogs if they were okay, but not wanting to budge...eventually talking ourselves quietly out of debilitating fear.
Was the universe trying to kill us? We noted that we were still alive.
My fiance inched us backward onto the shoulder again and reversed delicately onto the highway. Not a single other vehicle passed as we crept rearward toward the truck that had stopped in front of us. It was like the twilight zone.

The truck was still inanimate and the people in it, who we could clearly see once we were parallel with them window to window, were an older man driving and a little grey-haired woman sitting in the passenger seat. They looked like they were frozen. It was literally the oddest thing either of us has ever seen.

Almost like we were viewing a still frame from another era. They didn't move at all as we stared in their windows hoping to meet their eyes. Both occupants were gazing straight ahead, motionless, the man's arms outstretched firmly on his steering wheel, the woman's eyes were wide ahead of her but she was sitting stark upright, completely rigid and still. They never turned or moved to acknowledge us. They didn't blink.

Their truck was a worn and well-used farm vehicle, with rusty patina on the sides and hood. Gingham check cloth curtains hung in the back window. It was something akin to a movie prop one might expect to see from the original Wizard of Oz.(*The following photos added from the net that depict something similar, indicate origin being the 1920s-1930s. More like the square shape of the 1920s. The truck we encountered was quite small compared to today's vehicles- my apologies, I am not great at identifying cars and the various periods of auto design without images for comparison *which I finally sought online!*)
562645626556266

We backed onto the highway behind them, paused to reconsider and then slowly maneuvered around them on their left side. They still didn't move. Sitting stone stiff and staring straight ahead. It was almost as if they were bracing for something... but there was nothing else as far as we could see except the weaving highway ahead, with forest and mountain cliffs above it.

I turned to watch them as we passed. They didn't move again until we were a quarter mile beyond them on the next hill and then it appeared they *possibly* started driving again. They might have started moving just after we passed (or not at all)..I couldn't quite tell across the distance.

It didn't feel real. Nothing felt real. We both witnessed it. We were bruised, but okay. The dogs were whining and terrified, but in one piece.

Three near misses in under 15 miles. We just wanted to survive the rest of the way home and not leave the house again for a good, long time. We questioned the universe. We thought about God and angels... we still have no explanation.

That is so interesting. Related to something that happened to me a couple of days ago:

Coming back from work, preety late, nightime already. I take the car and go through an industrial area in a preety nasty neighborhood.

I get in the car and somehow it is not revving right, as if the engine got choked when pressing the throttle above halfway.

I decide to move see if it warms up a bit, and do 400m, but it suddenly gets worse, without barely moving at all and i have to stop on the side of the road, 50m before a turn, and try to restart it see if it fixes something.

Fast forward 5 seconds after stopping, a crazy driver comes through the corner with the car drifting sideways, invading the lane where i was supposed to be driving, scratching his super expensive white Mercedes with the construction fences at the roadside right in front of me, and speeding on the opposite direction without stopping.

I turn on the car again, and the engine timing seems to be good, and drive back home knowing that if the car hadn't failed I would at least be in the hospital.

Many years ago, I was around 10 or 12 in Los Angeles. The age details elude me, but I was certainly not a teenager yet. As my family was incredibly religious, we didn't have access to the fun Cartoon Network shows or the Nickelodeon programs that the rest of society did, because that was considered secular and therefore unacceptable for our consumption. So, my cousins and I would spend most of our days outdoors, riding our bicycles, searching for spots around town that were abandoned and therefore cool and interesting. During one of these adventures, we had been returning to my house from the local library. As fate would have it, I decided to take a path that passed through a creepy old funeral home situated on the downslope of the road, but it quickly up-sloped onto a main road that was always heavy with traffic, as is typical in Southern Californian towns.

As we raced down the road, I was ahead of my cousins, taking advantage of the downslope to pick up speed to leverage that momentum to power through the coming up-slope. As I'm doing this, I notice that up ahead, the light was green for my direction of travel, so if I just peddled fast enough, I could make it across this busy street before the light turned red. As I approached, I also noticed a vehicle approaching from the opposite direction on this road, signaling a left turn onto the intersecting main street. In my all-knowing child rationale, I knew I could cross the street before that vehicle would have to turn onto the main busy road, blocking my path and potentially causing me to miss my green light. Naturally, I peddled my little heart out to get up the hill and across the main street. When I got to the top of the hill and started to cross this busy main road, I quickly realized the gravity of my naivety and knew that I would be struck by the vehicle I was competing with. My first thought was that my mother would be incredibly upset with me for causing a scene and getting run over, because I was quite the rambunctious, fearless boy back then, as most boys are.

I must have closed my eyes at some point, because I don't specifically recall being impacted. If I had to choose another more accurate verb, I'd say felt. I felt the impact, and to those who have been in a car accident before or have been impacted by something incredibly heavy, you will know the feeling. I felt as though my entire being was violently rattled, as though a sudden burst of immense pressure had pounded the core of my soul. I was too terrified to open my eyes and witness my limbs strewn about and blood splattered all over the new bicycle my dad had just gotten me. I was waiting for the waves of pain to wash over me, and for the screaming to commence, if I was lucky and alive. But the pain never came. I didn't feel my clothes or skin sticky with blood. I opened my eyes, and my bicycle, along with half my torso, was underneath this vehicle.

Somehow, I was wedged underneath the front of the car, but my legs, hands, and torso were completely intact. I crawled out and away from the vehicle, yanked my bicycle out after several hard tugs, and peddled away to the sounds of "Hey kid, kid! Are you okay?!" I realized all other traffic had stopped, and everyone had expressions of shock on their eyes and mouths. I peddled away as quickly as I could, because in my mind, I was going to be in the deepest of trouble with police and eventually my parents when they found out I had caused an accident. To this day, I'm perplexed as to how I could get wedged underneath a vehicle and walk away with zero injuries, not a single scratch or bruise, and no damage to my bicycle save a couple of scrapes on the paint I could hide from my dad. The logical side of me tries to explain it away as the perfect angle to end up partially underneath a car so that there is no contact with either the vehicle or the asphalt, but even that is very difficult for me to explain away. My right leg should have been terribly scraped on the asphalt, and my left leg and torso should have been mangled underneath the car.

Angels you say? Perhaps. Extreme luck? Most certainly! Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Hello everyone! This happened many years ago — almost certainly in 2003. My family (father, mother, older brother, and younger sister) used to spend three weeks every summer at a country house. The place belongs to my father, who has been an agricultural producer all his life. I mention this for context: it was a rural area, with a few nearby towns and even a shantytown that the government had set up a few kilometers away.

One day, my mother, for no apparent reason, began to feel extremely nervous and agitated. She told my father that we had to leave immediately. He agreed, so we packed our bags and returned to our home in the city. The following night—or perhaps the one after that—something terrible happened. A group of thieves arrived, tied up the foreman of the ranch, mistreated his family, and stole many things. Luckily, no one was injured or killed. But the first thing those criminals did was ask about “the bald guy with the truck” (haha) — my father.

We were saved, synchronistically and miraculously, from living through a horrifying experience, and I don’t know how it might have ended. Although it was all thanks to my dear mother’s intuition, it’s likely that her guardian angel, spiritual guide, and God—ultimately—made it happen that way.

Hi Irminsüll. Does Argentina restrict firearms, like most countries besides the USA do? Canada here, and I feel for the ranch manager and his family, if that is so.

Feel I should mention, there are lots of tools for defence on a house scale. From slingshots to fire extinguishers, “water” balloons to whatever.

I hope it all turned out OK.

Hi Johnnycomelately! Yeah, there are restrictions here on carrying firearms.
In Argentina, you can’t just carry a gun — first you need to get a “legítimo usuario” license, which proves you’re trained, mentally fit, and have no criminal record. That involves a psychological test and a gun-safety course.
Then, if you actually want to carry the gun in public, you need a special “portation” permit, which is much harder to get and only applies to the specific gun and caliber you registered.
Both the license and the carry permit have to be renewed (usually every year) and come with fees. The government decides who qualifies and can deny it anytime.

That said, I should mention that in many rural areas people own guns and it’s not a big deal — the police don’t go around checking who has permits or not.

On the other hand, I know there are more “creative” ways to defend yourself, haha. But in a situation like the one I mentioned, I doubt that would’ve been the wisest move.

And I didn’t quite understand your last comment — I did say everything ended well, that no one was injured or killed. That was 22 years ago. My family never went back there for summer holidays after that. A couple of robberies happened later on at the ranch, but they didn’t involve violence against people — just thefts.

By the way, I’ll keep reading everyone’s personal stories later on to give some feedback and comments about what you shared. This is such a fascinating and beautiful topic.

I have a strange off kilter take on this, it could be titled WHEN ANGELS F#CK YOU UP.

At 18 I was stricken down with an affair. This was with a 36 year old woman. This lady was as crazy as I was young dumb and naive.
She was at the time, the worst thing that ever happened to me
It's only with hindsight that I see she was such a crazy monster that she made me more than willing to uproot and move across the country to escape her presence. This move altered my life forever

At 21 I was stricken down with Bells palsy. I lost all motor control over half my face. I had to quit my job.
Extremely self conscious about drooling and not being able to close my eye and wearing an eye patch I became a night time security guard.
I then began reading on a pale horse by William Cooper, the holographic universe by Talbot, Jane Roberts, Billy Meier, doing intense meditation and listening to art Bell.
I was a 21st century modern monk and I owed this all to bells palsy.

I have other examples.
But you get the picture.
Sometimes our angels have a design a plan and In order to obtain our adherence they have to f#ck us up a little bit.
Is this in opposition to free will? Or have we already given choice to this and armed a celestial oversight committee with a do what must be done over ride.

Hello DNA! What you say really hits me on a personal level... the only girlfriend I ever had in my entire life, for about 3 years or so, was someone who deeply threw me off balance. I don’t blame her — human beings are pretty complex (and complicated) creatures. She had a good heart, even though she was kind of crazy — similar to my own case, haha.

What you say is very true. It’s not unusual that very hard events in our lives lead us to make radical changes in our inner being and undergo transformations (or transubstantiations).

In 2016, I was driving back from German class (a language I never managed to learn, haha). While asserting my right of way at a roundabout, I accidentally cut off another car near me. In short: a few blocks later, that driver and I exchanged punches — something I never do; in fact, it was the only time in my life I ever let myself be carried away by violence in such a situation. I ended up with an affected eye. To this day, a faint floater drifts in my left eye, something I’ve grown used to. But at the time, it affected me deeply.

I learned a great life lesson from that experience — actually, more than one.

Almost three years ago, my beloved little sister took her own life at 28. Just tonight, a few hours ago, I was crying, remembering her. I’m doing quite well with the grieving process, but even so, life can sometimes be very harsh. Or we simply feel it’s unfair. That makes many people think that God or anything higher than us doesn’t exist — neither angels nor Pleiadians nor whatever else. As for me, when it comes to suffering and life, I know that, unfortunately, it’s a fundamental part of this human experience. There’s a beautiful and poetic phrase in the Bible: “Gold is purified by fire, and we, by suffering.” Ecclesiasticus 2:5–7. It’s more than evident that this is true.

Let me share something related to astronomy connected to this: gold forms under extremely energetic and violent conditions in the cosmos.

Cosmic origin: Gold atoms are created when massive stars explode in supernovas or when two neutron stars collide.

Arrival on Earth: Some of that stellar material traveled through space as dust and meteorites, which became part of the early Earth during its formation.

Geological concentration: On Earth, gold becomes concentrated through magmatic and hydrothermal processes, where hot fluids dissolve and deposit it in quartz veins or sediments as they cool.

So gold comes from the stars (suns). In theosophy there’s the concept of Solar Angels, and in anthroposophy too: Rudolf Steiner teaches that there are hierarchies of spiritual beings — Angels, Archangels, Archai, Exusiai (Spirits of Form), Dynamis, Kyriotetes, Thrones, Cherubim, and Seraphim.
Within that scale, some beings are “solar” because they act from the spiritual Sun — the center where the Cosmic Christ dwells.
Steiner says that the Sun is not only a physical sphere but a dwelling of higher spiritual beings.
Among those beings are angels and archangels who work with the force of the Sun, transmitters of Christic light.
These are sometimes called “solar angels” or “solar spirits” (Sonnenwesen, Sonnenengel).

I mentioned all this because, in my understanding, the Biblical phrase is real. We humans purify ourselves through suffering until we reach a point where we no longer need to incarnate. From there, we become beings of pure energy belonging to one of the Angelic Hierarchies I mentioned. That’s when we become suns — symbolically and literally speaking — and we are the ones who give rise to the existence of gold on the physical plane. It’s a complex and circular exercise in thought, so to speak. But I see a connection between the Biblical phrase, gold, radiance, the Light that fills the universe, the Christic path of suffering and redemption of each person, and many more magnificent and beautiful concepts.

In nature itself, fires later serve to make the grass, herbs, and shrubs grow back stronger. Destruction sometimes brings new life.

And speaking of these subjects, I’ll leave you with a poetic, profound, and glorious text that was received by Edgardo Marranti (an Argentine contactee I’ve known since I was 18). This message was given to him by the Cosmic Brothers, for humanity:

The Cross, is the reality of eternal life, to be traversed by means of your ignored path, but of future crystallization. The Cross hangs between your eyes, toward your life it sways and in your realization it merges. You are your cross and toward your rebirth you head, it is the intimate union of your lower and higher parts, in perfect channeling toward the ever current and infinite overcoming. From you it flows to redeem itself again, from your own proceeding, from your own being in continuous relation of unified coexistence, universal, toward all and from all. Thus producing the real christification of yourself in absolute harmony with your creator, Your Father, “GOD”, nourishing yourself from him in all your splendor, from the flame that teaches by its own glow, from the one who sacrificed everything of himselfor the great Divine ideal, the supreme ideal, the love without barriers, the offering without expecting, the sinking in order to resurface, the one who launches himself to fly loving everything, and who by means of this love blossoms, because he forgot himself and remembered the others. Because he opened himself and upon opening he died, upon dying he resurrected, upon resurrecting winged he rose, upon rising he carried his cross and his cross in GOD was transformed, to shoot out like a lesson-giving arrow toward the dark levels of redemption from where he resurrected, “CHRIST RETURNED”
Forever the future hosts will be reborn!

And here I’m sharing a thread I made about Edgardo some time ago.

Almost like we were viewing a still frame from another era.

Have you considered you might have been? That old-fashioned truck, its occupants frozen, is very reminiscent of a time-slip (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?61394-Time-Shifts-Time-Slips) event.

I have to say, reading your account, that you encountered something very extraordinary. I can't begin to imagine what. You stared death in the eye and walked away unscathed. That doesn't happen very often. For many, like those who have posted on this thread, it might be once in a lifetime. You did it three times in half an hour. It's like a sequence from a Final Destination (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Destination_(film)) movie! I think, that day, the angels did more than lend a hand. They pulled out all the stops! :star:

Hi Mark! Thank you, no I hadn't considered that and didn't know there were cases of time actually slipping (reading those now!)... it felt so strange; everything was surreal and almost seemed to be occurring in slow motion... whatever happened that day was very, very strange. I don't have other words for it. The next day was equally odd while at home, though it ran in a completely different trajectory...

I feel extremely grateful that my fiance experienced and witnessed both with me... and that both were survived.

  :handshake:

We wondered whether something would try for round 2 if we left the house after that and remained in a state of heightened awareness and anxiety for a long, long while...until one day we simply decided, let's go for it and see what comes next.

Last year, I was taking one of our cars to the shop for some repairs. The drive was about twenty minutes from our house. Along the way, there is a hilly section where the road drops sharply and then immediately goes back up, about a quarter of a mile in total. As I approached this section, I felt a very clear and unmistakable warning to be extremely careful. Something or someone was urging me to approach this section of road with extreme caution. I drove down the hill with great care and then immediately back up. The entire experience was uneventful, with no reason for concern. I dismissed it as an odd feeling and put it out of my mind.

Around 5 p.m., I received a call from the shop, they said the car was ready and that they would be closing at 6 p.m. I gathered one of my sons, and we headed to the shop. I was driving, planning to drop off my son, then he would drive the car home. There was a light drizzle, just enough to make the road wet but nothing serious. As we approached that same hilly section, I thought about the warning I had felt earlier. While I didn’t drive with the same extreme caution as in the morning, I was more alert and aware.

When I reached the bottom of the hill and started to go back up, I noticed a car coming in the opposite direction that was veering into my lane. I turned the steering wheel sharply to the right to avoid a certain collision, but because the road was wet, my car started to skid straight toward the other vehicle. At the last second, the wheels grabbed the road and violently jerked the car to the right, and we ended up stopping halfway on the shoulder and halfway on the grass. We avoided a head-on collision by inches. The oncoming car quickly moved back into its lane and disappeared over the hill, never to be seen again.

Over the years, I’ve learned that when you’re searching for answers about life, they often come, but rarely in ways you expect. Sometimes when an angel is giving you a warning, it is not for that particular moment.

Thank you for sharing such a revealing and profound experience. This has happened to me many times — having premonitory dreams that, just as you say, one interprets more or less correctly; but at the exact moment when the “miracle” or divine event of assistance to the human actually happens — that is when we feel astonished, maybe frightened by the crucial moment we have just lived through (many times they are life-or-death situations), and with an immeasurable and moving gratitude toward the King of Creation and His Angels. In the Bible there is a phrase that says: “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” I believe it has to do with this: If in our hearts we are pure, and we are truly good people until our last breath, then we will not need to reincarnate again in worlds of death, decay and corruption like the one we are in now.

It is then that God enables us to become Angels, Beings of Light, Pleiadians or whatever one chooses to call them. And from that moment on — to dwell in higher planes of existence and live in total harmony with Him, and assist poor underdeveloped beings like us humans.

This morning, after meditation, I asked my higher self, source energy, what do I need to know today? I got an image of a person wearing a heavy cape coat and and the words, as close as I remember them, "take off the heavy mantle (which is like a coat or cape when I looked up the meaning) and wear a mantle of light" and I saw the person with light shining out of them.
I felt lighter and it seemed important that I not dwell too much with the heavy information about the world. Notice it, but don't take it into yourself.

I am just making this note about this message as it is likely for anyone as well, like a helping hand :shooting star:
