NEW YORK—January 31, 2011—There’s not a single political figure today with the global reach and influence of Bill Clinton—a former U.S. President turned humanitarian and diplomat extraordinaire. No one else in today’s political arena has the ability to command the attention of world leaders and organizations everywhere quite like he does. This Presidents’ Day, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews will take viewers behind the scenes of Clinton’s life in the one-hour documentary “President of the World: The Bill Clinton Phenomenon.” The special will air Monday, February 21, at 10 pm ET/PT.

Since President Clinton left office in January 2001, he’s taken on a new and very successful role as an international humanitarian—his Clinton Global Initiative, Clinton Health Access Initiative, the William J. Clinton Foundation and countless other worthy efforts have made him a hero to peoples across the globe. Clinton’s innate talent for diplomacy gained him international recognition in 2009 when he aided in the release of two imprisoned American journalists from North Korea. In the last year alone, he’s provided invaluable political support to President Obama, hitting the campaign trail for countless Democratic candidates leading up to the November 2010 midterm elections.

Could be worse, they could have chosen a Bush to front it.

Phil,

the problem is, we are already over the soften up part, they are in your face with it now.

Zepheriah, believe me when I say there will be a massive Bush influence on this whole program. Moreover, Bush and Clinton are related to each other.

Hi Irish,

There is a general tendency from the western media, and the western world in general, to call or define something as 'global', 'worldwide', 'government of the world', etc... While in fact, they are talking about the western world, less many countries of Latin America. It is not even half of the world, not even a quarter of the worldwide population. :) It is megalomania, no less.

Even when we say; 'the global elite', we do not even use the proper term, thus given them more power than they actually have.

Namaste, Steven

Hi Irish,

I suppose a bit more than what i wrote would have been better.

What i meant was, Clinton is made out to be the loveable rogue, the womanisng, yet family entred humanitarian. Bush, especially the younger, is a cloth headed, unreliable, idiotic moron.

I was trying to say that at least they are coating the pill rather than forcing it spike-shaped down our throats :P

I enjoyed your post Steven, however I would add if I may “The Western English Speaking World”

Agreed. The rest of the world knows exactly what’s going on. They just laugh at us.

We have a very different way of doing things in the Britain these days. In the olden days if you wanted to know your bank balance you called the bank down the town, or just called in. This was far too simple and so now we have to telephone a special number and speak with someone in India or the Philippines 5-8,000 miles away. This is what we call progress in the UK !

These Indians are miles ahead of us. They have impeccable manners and are very knowledgeable.

I was speaking “around” some of the problems we all know about. I was trying to be discreet, but the Indian jumped back Oh he said “This is the NWO”, it was the way he shouted back “NWO” that made me laugh. They are not stupid or asleep. It’s us in the western worlds who are the stupid for putting you with this nonsense.

I agree with your comments about South America. Again they are awake….

Here is “our man” in Argentine who also covers the Spanish speaking South American nations.

Bush43 and Clinton are featured sitting together in the commercial for the Haiti Relief Fund. Bush41 and Clinton sat and did the Hurricane Katrina Relief commercials.

Two (three) peas in a pod?

If that were a pea pod in my garden i'd cut it off and burn it to be frank.

I'm not trying to inject a view that Clinton IS a nice cute furry bunny, just that his well tailored facade would be a more acceptable one to the masses than that of either of the Bushes.

Either way, they've all sat in THAT chair, so they are all the same once you peel the eges back.
