I rarely comment anymore be it among friends, online and so one .One can find themselves under attack and misunderstood no matter how good and clear a person is.  

The meaning of language, logic and common sense are under attack . If we collectively let go of our agreement on words and their meaning, then why even have a discussion?  
 
I treat everyone equally ,regardless of ethnicity, age, religion , country of origin ,looks, height, weight ,age and intelligence . That does not mean I automatically like or endorse them. That's my choice to arrive at.

We live in a Country of laws that protect the whole. Illegal means "not legal." It means against a standing law.   A person entering our country may be entering it illegally , but  I have nothing personally against a person in this country illegally.  That is their problem with law enforcement to work out, not different from a person driving illegally without a driver's license.  This has nothing to do with my liking or approving it.

If an illegal alien was on my street and needed help, food, etc I would help them.  I help everyone. If ICE arrives in my town, I will shake their hands as well.  

I don't write from referencing articles or chat gpt, I write from my own observations feelings and my opinion.

We had over 10 million people under Biden Harris enter the country ILLEGALLY.  WHY?  We had a border czar and a Homeland security person who allowed it on purpose.  This is so obvious .WHY?

Trump was elected to do something about it and somehow he's the bad guy ? This is subversive , brainwashing with the intent of undermining sanity and defeating our Country

The reports I'm seeing on TV, on x and social media reminds me of a zombie apocalypse movie.  Middle age women and men, soon to be frothing at the mouth, are whipped up into a frenzy , totally disproportionate to reality.

Over trying to catch criminals that would be of danger to the children and families who are protesting against arresting them .  Insane ! .Obama and Clinton had no resistance deporting illegals.WHY?

I have a former friend trying to move her family to Canada.  They are happily filling out forms trying to satisfy the stringent needs of Canada to enter and stay, jumping through crazy hoops in order to satisfy them. They are on a list and waiting.
Yet in her opinion of America is it sucks?

yes a good question. I do object to someone entering the country illegally. Its just not my job to enforce it . Its the job of ICE to enforce it.
Its not that I approve or encourage it . Its more like someone driving without a license, driving under the influence and so on. They are breaking the law, but not my job to enforce or take care of.

People usually flee deplorable conditions. That is why my ancestors entered the American continent. No legal process was respected with the people already living here.

Many of the problems in Mexico and Latin America are caused by the US, and the resulting human flight could be described as harvest of empire.

As to whether a President harps on a particular issue, has little to do with whether or not he is an overall bad person. This is not the proper way of handling the situation. The Administration has forfeited any chance of sympathy, and resistance will surge.


It's like it's not Colombia's fault that Americans love buying mass quantities of cocaine. The only culprit for the existence of cocaine is petroleum. It's not something you can have a war on.

We haven't figured out a way to deal with issues other than by threats about "security", and it is this mode of governance that is being opposed. It's a very deep rejection that simply has an obvious figurehead right now.

I do think you're right, not because resistance is surging, I actually believe that the media and the democrats (one and the same) have settled on this as one of the key issues for the 2026 election. Yes, there is an appetite for drugs in the USA, but it does take two to tango. Colombian cartels purposely target the USA because it offers an extremely large, profitable market, and when Democrats are in power, the USA has extremely porous borders which are easily penetrated by the cartels. Not sure if you have seen, but the death rate from overdose has plummeted since Trump has been president, and the amount of drugs entering the country essentially dropped off the cliff.

I've written extensively on how the vaxx affected us, and continues to, but beside that a lot is happening. I watched social allowances change during Trump's campaign for his first presidency. This angered the right who eventually decided to play along. So discourse is ruined. We know test scores have plummeted with politics being taught over math. Across the board expectations have been lowered- for school entry, jobs etc. We don't aim as high and settle for less. The intelligent aren't treasured, the wise are ignored.

A nation is a country of folk that have things in common. Western nations have been turned into countries with compartmentalized societies, with plans of 15 minute cites and more to divide. Things we had in common were a national religion and nationalism itself. Both were stamped out. I lived through the period where it all changed and I remember how it used to be. Now there is a social divide for every occasion.

One thing that has continued to move forward though is artistry in delivering curse words. Listening to people today, they show talent attaching the words 'ass' and 'f***' and 'sh*t' to terms, and constantly weave them into their daily communications. Could be I'm just getting old.

I agree with your opening post Doug... There is a legal way to enter the country and it should be followed... Many of those whom are protesting the gathering of those that have come here illegally, and have stayed, lock their doors on their vehicles, they lock their houses at night, etc...
