Hi Everyone,

It seems that the Northern Hemisphere is taking the brunt of it, as, according to the Daily Mail, almost the whole Northern Hemisphere is covered in ice and snow!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1353073/Winter-storm-Map-shows-Northern-Hemisphere-covered-snow-ice.html

Here in the Southern counterpart it's business as usual with temperatures in the 30's. Nothing too drastic for the meantime.

Best regards,

Steve

Hi Steve
We only have 2 seasons here in Scotland. Winter and July.;)

We got hammered here in November and December. Never seen snow come so early, it normally arrives in January.
Cheers

Thanks for the link Jamjar99. Very interesting reading. If this hits us I guess I'll be moving south. In true Avalon spirit I'll just chill here the now and see what happens. Its interesting to note that all the MSM folk call it Climate Change now instead of Global Warming.

Has anyone ever said that global warming would eliminate winter ? But it's pretty warm here today.

I'm in Calgary and it feels like spring right now which is very odd for this City this time of year. All I know is when this Ice Age does happen, I'm not shoveling the driveway! :P

LOL! Funny that; you can relax apparently this is the first winter many people have spent in the Northern Hemisphere...it's perfectly normal to be covered in snow and ice this time of the year. If we start getting blizzards in July; then i might start to worry...

The worst part is that you could be right on that... :-O

I've lived here (Croatia) all my life and know weather patterns damn well. What we've been having here since October till present day is as follows:
cca 10 days of spring like temps averaging 15 °C, then cca 10 days of bitter cold averaging -5°C.
Places that used to have rainfall/snowfall are now rather dry, places that had dry are now with rainfall/snowfall. Everything is upside down.
All the flora is slowly dying...just as soon as it thinks it's spring and starts to bloom, there goes cold and it kills it. Plants look thirsty and tired. Many trees that shed their leaves in October have kept them because they're not sure what season it is.
Crops that need rain have none, crops that need dry land have rain....hibernating animals wake up angry and dwell into towns.
This is so bad :(
