View Full Version : Is Cryogenics Possible?

This question just came to my mind today and I would like to hear some opinions as I don't think I have formed my own opinion yet. Is Cryogenics (The preserving of the body by freezing it in hopes of bringing it back to life at a later date when a cure is found for whatever disease the body has) possible when looked at from a spiritual standpoint? What happens to the soul when the body is frozen? If the body is frozen for too long will the soul reincarnate? If so what will happen if they bring that body back to life after the fact? Will it get a new soul? Will the soul leave its new body and come back? or will the body just never come back to life after the soul has found a new home? I could just be looking too deep into this :-)

If you believe that your brain is nothing more than a biological hard drive and it can be stored and transferred into another "system" and then rebooted, then yes. If you were speaking to Charles and his camp, he would probably say yes. I think that is incredibly limiting, and consider the brain to be nothing more than a transceiver for higher powers such as a soul and higher self. If I am right, then cryogenics would be a waste of resources.

Reincarnation sounds easier and less messy. You get a fresh start instead of attempting to revive a frozen chunk of flesh.

The soul is not attached to the body in any meaningful way in life, after death I'd hazard to say its less inclined to bound to a body. For people who that are attached on an emo level to a material existence and a body, you may run the risk of earth binding them.

You can bring the body back to life but its likely not going to fill with the animation that is the soul. It may live but its not the same thing. Its possible another soul could take up residence in there, there is a term called a walk in that suggests that happens but then its not the same person.

This is just another example of humankind putting emphasis on the body rather than what is really important. So they revive the body, and it lives a few more years and then dies.Do you refreeze it? Who knows what sort of damage is caused after everything warms up again. If calling a soul back into a body is the only thing that is important we have to explore what sort of suffering we are imposing on the soul after it returns.

Personally I'm glad mankind can't tamper with any soul the way mankind tampers with consciousness and the body. We aren't responsible with what is in plain sight let along what is hidden from us.

Im not even sure if they have the ability to revive the biological body once it has been put into a cryogenic state.

I could be wrong. They may have already done this in some black underground program somewhere.

I think 9eagle9 made a good point.

Yea I don't know if it has ever really been done I was just asking in a kind of "is it theoretically possible" type thing

Heres some info:
Clicky (http://cryogenics-future-cryo-man.blogspot.com/)

and a quote at the bottom of the page:

We currently don't have the Technology to Successfully Revive anyone from Cryopreservation without Damaging the Cell Structure. Scientist are working hard as we speak to fix this problem. In the future though I am sure we will have the Technology to Successfully Unthaw a person without damaging them.

I've personally had an issue with the way the person goes into the freeze! When thought about from this perspective, pretty much makes the spiritual issue null and void. My issue is this: every person I've heard of that has decided to go the gryogenic route has had their body put into the freeze just after death. If the body is dead, the spirit leaves. Then what are they eventually thawing out!

I wouldn't be surprised if a live person has been put into some type of state like that in a black project though. Good luck finding that info.

Just my humble opinion!

I think most of the people that would even consider this, would have absolutely no believe or sense of any kind of spirit, soul, source, energy or afterlife. I imagine they think everything just goes black until they are revived. Thats just my thoughts.

I wouldn't be surprised either. I would hate to be the test subject for a "Live" freezing.

Very good point and I guess that's just as possible (probably more so) since there seems to be hardly anything mentioned on the spiritual front when researching this subject!

An interesting thread, for certain. Reminds me of the questions I would pester my teachers with in grade school!

In my opinion, the physical body is much like a vehicle being driven across the country; the "soul" being the driver of the vehicle. Sometimes, when driving, we pull off to the side of the road to take in sights, stop at intersections, pick up friends, pull over to help someone, and park beside convenience stores to purchase groceries. Sometimes, our vehicle breaks down, and we have to visit the dealership to buy a new one. Other times, our vehicle gets stolen.

A car is a car, and a body is a body; but both are very much like physical vehicles in which we, as conscious beings, use to accomplish a given task - or tasks!

With regard to a body being frozen for centuries, and subsequently revived, I can only assume that the soul operating the vehicle either takes off and finds a new vessel, waits around patiently, or gives the deed to the dormant vehicle to a close friend.

It's anyone's call, however, as time seems to get a bit loopy in the world of hyperdimensional physics!
