In the summer of 2000, Hollie told her mother, Anne, that she had been repeatedly sexually abused by her father, Denis Charles Mackie and brother Greg. The abuse had begun when Hollie was just six years` old. Hollie said that Greg had also been abused by his father.

Anne Greig reported this immediately to the local police station in Aberdeen. During the course of that summer, Hollie, who has Down`s Syndrome, began to provide more names of abusers. It transpired that Denis Mackie had been sharing his daughter with a ring of sexual abusers, which included a serving police officer with the Grampian force, Terry Major and an Aberdeen sheriff, Graeme Buchanan.

Medical and other evidence supported Hollie`s account and Grampian Police accepted the truth of Hollie`s statement. Nonetheless, no action was taken by Grampian Police against the perpetrators and despite Anne Greig`s persistence, the Procurator Fiscal, now Lord Advocate, Elish Angiolini prevented any police action taking place.

On the 14th November, I am to stand trial at Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire on a breach of the peace charge. Due to the anticipated large number of witnesses, the proceedings are set to last for two weeks.
The terms of my defence will ensure that this trial becomes a test case, not only for the future of the freedom of the press, but also impacts on freedom of speech. I shall stand on the right of a journalist to publish what he believes to be the truth and is in the public interest. My excellent legal team, led by the eminent Frances McMenamin QC, feel that the success of my defence may be enhanced by having letters produced in Court from those who have supported my actions in bringing the Hollie Greig case into the public domain and believe my stance to be justified in the public interest.

Thus, I would be most grateful to anyone who feels that they can support me in this way.

The letters must be hard copies, sent by mail, not email. To be valid, they must contain the address, name and signature of the sender and be addressed in the following manner, to enable me to forward them to my solicitor, Mr Gerry Sweeney, and then onward to be placed before the Sheriff. It should open with "To whom it may concern".

This issue, I believe, is of importance far beyond the parameters of the case itself. It revolves around the concept of openness versus secrecy in our society. It must now be obvious to any reasonable person following the Hollie Greig case that the degree of secrecy involving senior state officials in trying to obstruct and pervert the course of justice by making clandestine agreements behind closed doors is completely unacceptable in any civilised and democratic society.

May I thank everyone who has supported Hollie, Anne and me throughout the campaign and hope that you may be able to help in this regard. The letters do not need to be lengthy, nor particularly detailed. All that is requested is a statement that you support my position before the Court.

The controversial case, which earlier this week had an unprecedented FOURTEENTH HEARING at Stonehaven Sheriff Court and now has a preliminary date of 16 January 2012 set for the actual trial to finally take place, may see former Lord Advocate now Dame Elish Angiolini DBE QC take the witness stand to answer questions over why Mr Green was charged with breach of the peace with regard to his anti-abuse campaigning. Dame Angiolini is also likely to be asked why in her position of Lord Advocate she used a private law firm whose partners have dealings in the well known offshore tax dodging haven of the Cayman Islands, LEVY MCRAE, to serve interdicts against Mr Green while also threatening media outlets including Scots law publication “The Firm” and several newspapers over their coverage of the abuse story.

Eyes moistened in the public gallery when Hollie herself suddenly came over loud and clear in one of the broadcasts. She was on the Manchester Online show of 7th March 2010 along with Anne and Robert. The host Tony Legend asked her what she thought should happen to her dad? Hollie was in no doubt at all. “He should go to jail”, she said. And what about the other people, should they go to jail too? “Yes, the WHOLE LOT of them!”

At which point, two of the witnesses who had stayed on to keep watch over the proceedings couldn’t take any more and left the courtroom.

The last bit is worth posting here.


In the afternoon session both sides summed up and Mr Lamb skillfully had Robert acquitted of 3 of the 5 charges against him. However the Sheriff ruled that in his view Robert was guilty of Breach of the Peace and of breaking some of his bail conditions.

Sentencing has been deferred until Friday 17th February, until which time the bail conditions on Robert remain in force.

Hi Lettherebelight yes this could be very explosive. The lack of any investigation, the death of the brother is all very fishy. And there are some powerful people named in the case.

We need to keep a spotlight on this until it is investigated properly.

We are co-ordinating a leaflet raid on Aberdeen… to hand out 250,000 leaflets to every man and women in Aberdeen to expose the establishment and the paedophile network that has orchestrated the phony trial of Robert Green.

Robert Green FREE on 17th May!

The good news has just come through from Robert that his custodial sentence will end and he will be FREE to go home early in the morning of 17th May. That's terrific news!! strangely enough I was just thinking about Hollie Grieg and Robert Green this morning, weird how the universe works, is it not? :) I send everybody working to get justice and friends and families an enormous bubble of love and strength..

In a way its good news because being banged up for 23 hrs a day gets a bit boring, but its far from a victory & it certainly isn't being Free, far from it.
Another three / four weeks in jail & then coming home on a curfew for the next 3 months is a joke in my book. The guy is innocent isn't he not?
He should be released immediately, his record scrubbed clean & compensated. Then the guilty should be locked up in his place.
Now that would be closer to him being Free.


He will still be under curfew when he gets home (7pm to 9am every night of the week) for 3 months and of course campaigning and so on is out but at least he’ll be able to go for walks and go on line and all the things he’s not been able to do.

One thing I truly hate about our reality here in 3D Earth is what adult humans are doing to children. How can we expect to have a paradise in this world when humans do not respect the most vulnerable members of any society, the children. When I was in Slovakia working for one year back in 1999, I met a few people there who were involved in helping children who were being used in prostitution in Italy; the teenagers were actually kidnapped in Slovakia and Czech Republic and were sold to pimps in Italy. I wrote a letter to Vaclav Havel, he was the president of Czech Republic at the time, in regards to this incredibly sensitive issue, and all I got back was a letter from his secretary who wrote to me that they had just passed a law that actually was detrimental to the well-being of children in the Czech Republic and that they were not able to do anything at that time in regards to stopping this criminal activity. New evidence has come to light in the form a public information request from Shropshire Council. I attach a copy of page (No. redacted) Ref 8th May 2007 from which it is noted that my husband Denis Mackie and son Greg Mackie have a predilection for very young girls. It would therefore appear that the police does have information in relation to my husband and son’s activities, which has only just come to light. As you are aware, I have for many years been attempting to prove and uncover a systematic campaign of abuse of my daughter Hollie at the hands of not only my husband and son, but also other members of the community in the Aberdeen area.

Though I have suffered physical abuse from my husband, which is recorded in hospital records and my doctors own records, I have never been able to prove against my husband or my son (other than lewd and libidinous behavior regarding my son), or any of their multifarious activities in this area. It would appear the police now have information, which refers to such activities. see below.

I wonder when justice will be done for Hollie, This is definately Scotlands disgrace, A cover up of scumbacks in high places. Police Chiefs, Sherrifs, Judges, Lawyers, Council officials. Is it because they are all masons that they get away with child abuse and murder.

I met Robert Green at a conference in Edinburgh a couple of years ago, It was Hollies Birthday and everyone at the conference signed the birthday card for her. Robert is a beautiful caring man and should never have been put in prison for helping in trying to protect and bring justice for Hollie.

How long has this been dragging on now??? 20yrs ????
It is time those scumbags were arrested and put in prison.

I just want to relay Robert’s immediate reaction to this news this afternoon – he phones me sometimes 2-3 times a day and today has been one such day, fortunately, so I was able to tell him the news and read him the MP’s letter which of course he’s delighted about, especially coming on the eve of his summary hearing tomorrow! But then in the very next breath he said “but of course you know who really should get the Nobel Prize, it should be Hollie, for her terrific bravery and courage all these years and refusing to back down, I’d give the prize to Hollie.”

I am a British Parliamentarian and I am writing to nominate Mr. Robert Green for
the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize. Robert Green is a British children’s rights campaigner

Even as I write this nomination letter Robert Green is in prison in Scotland, having

who allegedly sexually abused her since she was a child and these alleged abusers
include head teachers, social workers, a senior police forensics officer (since
deceased) and a judge. She also named 7 apparent victims of these alleged abusers.

The Aberdeen Police have so far refused to properly and thoroughly investigate the
Hollie Greig case, only interviewing at most just 2 of the 22 named suspects and
not even bothering to check their computers for possible possession of child
pornography images as is normally done with suspected child sex abusers.
Aberdeen Police have also refused to interview any of the victims named by Miss Greig.

This disturbing pattern of repeated arrests of Robert Green by the Aberdeen Police
suggests that the arrests are a means of obstructing and stopping Mr. Green’s
campaign for the abusers of Hollie Greig to be brought to justice.

Contrast the speed and intensity with which the Aberdeen Police have pursued
cases against Robert Green with their sheer reluctance to interview the suspects
and victims named by Hollie Greig. Consider also the fact that if Hollie Greig’s
allegations are true then there is a fairly large number of child abusers who are left
free to continue abusing other children in and around Aberdeen and perhaps further afield.

This is not just an issue for Scotland since children’s rights are universal but also
because paedophiles travel extensively across borders in search of victims. To
protect children from abuse is to protect our future because children represent the
future of nations. Safeguarding and nurturing children also helps to ensure both
present and future peace and stability in society and thus also between nations.

Children are also the responsibility of the entire community, not just their parents
and Robert Green has set a sterling example of sacrificial care and devotion for the
security of children by his relentless campaign for the Hollie Greig case to be
properly and thoroughly investigated by police and his general active support for
child abuse coverups to be publicly exposed. Child Protection is one of the very
urgent and challenging issues of our times, whether protecting children from sexual
exploitation and sex trafficking or protecting them from sexual abuse by getting law
enforcement agencies to perform their duties diligently and professionally to protect
children and apprehend their abusers.

Update from Belinda concerning Robert Green and other matters.

Dear All

Just in case you haven't already heard the good news from the 'Scottish front' about Robert Green, (most on this list will have been following the story on www.freerobertgreen.co.uk) he was released on bail from HMP Perth last Wednesday 21st May, but has to go back to Aberdeen Sheriff Court this Friday 30th May for trial. It is highly unlikely he will be reincarcerated even if convicted of the offence of which the details remain obscure, but it was allegedly committed between a period from roughly November 2012 to February 2013 and apparently whatever Robert has done, said or written is deemed to have breached a Non-Harrassment Order imposed at Stonehaven in 2012. The maximum sentence he can get for this is 6 months of which he has already served the custodial half, having been held 96 days on remand, but it is important that the charges are dropped altogether as although he's out of jail his bail conditions are exceedingly strict - he's not allowed to go online or communicate with anyone outside his family and legal team except about the weather! well not about Scotland, his case, Hollie etc. certainly.

Supporters have been pressurising the Scottish Legal Aid Board to provide Robert with the means of engaging a QC to defend him on Friday. As things stand he will have the benefit only of his solicitor and a junior barrister while the witnesses he wished to cite have once again been denied him. So this is even less likely to be a fair trial than it was at Stonehaven where he did at least have the benefit of Senior as well as Junior Counsel.

Although Robert is now technically free, the Free Robert Green blog continues for the time being while the above situation plays out, also at Robert's own insistance, until Tim 'Rusty' Rustige, his fellow-blogger on paedophilia & corruption in Scotland is also released from prison. Following a riot at HMP Grampian at Peterhead Rusty has been transferred along with 70 other Grampian prisoners to HMP Barlinnie in Glasgow from which Dickensian insitution as he describes it he may not manage to extricate himself until his 'halfway' date which is 11th August, the 'tag' paperwork having got 'lost' due to the riot.

As for the 'Brussels front' (referring back to 19th March when Sabine led a delegation of UK & non-UK parents of stolen children to the EU Parliament to present our McKenzie Friends petition), Sabine is still pursuing Lincolnshire police & social services to get the 5 Pedro children returned to their parents so the family can go home to Portugal, as promised to the children and to the Portuguese embassy attache on his visit to Grantham at the end of April. There are still issues regarding nonsensical charges imposed on the parents in March 2013 alleging conspiracy to abduct 4 children, 1 not belonging to them, prior to the removal of their own children a month later in April. And the 2 younger children have now been separated from the 3 older ones and contact between the parents and any of the children has still not resumed...See www.pedrofamily.wordpress.com.

Meanwhile on Friday 23rd May the case of an Indian couple whose 2 young boys are in the care of Hertfordshire County Council was heard in Watford for the first time in Open Court according to the ruling in February of Sir James Mumby, President of the Family Division, granting parents that option if they so wish. Sadly the case went against the couple who have lost the 2 boys and will be appealing. And unfortunately the omissions and distortions in the press coverage of the judgment handed down by Mrs Justice Parker show that the press cannot be counted upon to report accurately even if they are allowed into the court-room - I was there and did not hear the judge say that the father had repeatedly punched the social worker in the face several times, I only heard the words "hit him in the face" which sounded like a one-off reaction to provocation. You will notice that my battle flag is no longer flying on these much-reduced updates because I'm having to suspend the Battle while I struggle to recover from having gone way out of my depth financially trying to fund the 2 major cases I took on in March. I wrote about those at the time if you remember, one was the Ukrainian Story and the other the Jamaican Story and basically both involved baby girls being handed by order of the UK High Court from the good, loving parent to the bad, unloving one, to be permanently removed from the UK. For the past 3 months, in between trying to get Robert Green out of prison, the struggles of this desperate father and desperate mother respectively trying to retrieve their daughters have filled my days and drained my bank-account - for the past nearly 2 weeks now I have experienced the for me totally novel phenomenon of waking up every morning to a zero bank-balance and notifications by email of direct debits not being paid etc. . So I literally now can't move or do anything! Have spent the whole of today trying to get a loan to send what the mum in Jamaica now urgently needs to pay her barrister to bring a prosecution against her partner for GBH, the first step to overturning the decision of the UK court that that 62 year-old and his drunken older brother and senile older sister should have care of her little girl not her and the child's 3 older sisters in England, the only family she's known in her young life and with whom was perfectly happy, as can be imagined. The case is watertight by now but the lawyer to actually bring it to the court still needs paid...

Now all this doesn't look that clever on the part of yours truly, to have got myself into this gigantic financial entanglement with lawyers & foreign travel and run myself down to the bone but there was a bit of method in the madness, in that the dad whose baby daughter isnow in the Ukraine whose surname happens to be Knight has helped me set up a Charitable Incorporated Organisation called THE KNIGHT FOUNDATION, to be the source of funding from now on for all my charitable and public interest work. Which is what should have happened years ago, except that I had issues previously with the Charity Commission, long story, will be for another blog or eventually the book. Once TKF is up and running (there have been set-backs as in all the best endeavours!) the situation I'm currently in will not reoccur. Mr K is or was an incredibly successful businessman before disaster struck so has a wide range of corporate contacts and prospective donors he's sure can be called upon to help get us going. We already have the Officers, board of Trustees, we have a premises for the charity and a fund-raising programme mapped out, still awaiting the charity number and to finalise the bank account. So it's all going to be fine BUT this immediate week I have to pay a barrister in Jamaica, fly Mr K across Europe and buy a ticket to Aberdeen on a zero bank-balance and with debts stretching in all directions. One of my sons who happens to be visiting at the moment takes a very dim view of mother's 'serial philanthropy' as he calls it, comparing it to compulsive gambling or drug-addiction. He is well able to help his mum out, indeed has already done in this 'crisis' but refuses to do so a second time...

So McKenzie Enemies, uncork the champagne, McKenzie's off her horse and face down in the mud! For the moment, anyway.
