"A parliamentary committee in Victoria is set to examine whether to implement an opt-out system to help boost organ donation rates across the state.

Politicians will look at the scope for a move towards "presumed consent", where all Victorians become potential organ donors unless they register a formal objection."

this sets off alarm bells for me , potentially if presumed consent is implemented what is to prevent contracts being "taken out" on living people to fulfill an organ need , negating the need for waiting ( money talks)
