I'm not sure if this has been discussed before.. So I apologize if it has been.
I keep seeing PTB and The Controllers, and different names like that... and everytime I see that I think, why are calling them that? I don't think any of us want them to be the controllers.. or the powers that be. I think everytime we call them that, we giving more energy to them being the powers that be... giving some permission in someway just by the use of our words.
Maybe calling them something different will help start to shift our perceptions of them and there role, and will help work towards changing things ??
as cliche as it has become.. it's still powerful.."Be the change that you seek"
The Powers that were ???? I might have subconsciously lifted that name from some other post somewhere.. but maybe that's a better name for them ??
Thoughts ??

This definitely resonates with me.
Far too often we empower individuals that we look up to or look down upon unconsciously just by our thoughtforms.
I guess this is why it is best to look at others as equals.
Referring to these individuals as TPTW seems to be a useful tool to neutralize a lot of the energy we have sent to these people in the past.

I usually call them 'the cockroaches', myself. lol. But yes, thanks for posting this, passenger 1147, I think it 's a good suggsestion.
The words we use do have a strong influence on us subliminally, perhaps more than we think.
TPTW are aware of this and use it against us all the time. Time for us to fight back here too.
In the same vein, I always feel sad when I see someone referring to those who haven't yet seen the prison we are in, as 'the sheeple'.
Imo to use this derogatory term is to assist the work of TPTW. They want us to believe we are inferior,
when in fact we are sovreign citizens, sovreign men and women, brothers and sisters.
I love this idea of empowering ourselves through our choice of words.
So, I hope you don't mind me adding another suggeston the list. :)

I remember being able to brain wash myself, when i were a kid, i would talk alone seated looking to the nothing, repaeting the same thing over and over until i believed it was real, i don't remeber very well though, maybe because i ... i think maybe.... just maybe, i think because i said something to smoebody and the person would say that i were worng, so as a kid i locked myself in my room, started crying and did that, ....

this is one of the latest insights from the project camelot december 19, 2010 "Disclosure" conference. i think i read it on david wilcock's site where they were actually referring to it as "the powers that were".

That's where I first heard it too (David Wilcock) on his forum and then also on the New Years online conference with him, Kerry, Hoagland and Bill

The only power they have is the power we give them, the powers that were sounds good to me.

i think it was actually title "The Post Disclosure Conference", with kerry, bill, richard hoagland and david wilcock, and i'm sure some others. i didn't see/hear it either, couldn't afford the extra cash at the time. but it is available now by post stream if anyone is interested. i think its around 39.00. not sure if the price is absolutely correct though. and david wilcock speaks about some of the events that occurred on his site. very interesting indeed. i'm hoping to purchase it soon so i can watch/listen to it. tell everyone you know. it's on the project camelot site.

Hi passenger1147, wishing you well!
I have been using that term for a couple years now.
Clif also refers to "it" as the TPTW(the powers that were)... and has for quite some time.

I think you you have an excellent point.
I also believe in the power thoughts and of words, spoken or written.
So if we write TPW we will know what group we are talking about.
