GE can be a good thing if its used by people that want to help ... for example if there is a chance to wipe out genetic "anomalies" - diseases then by all means. The problem is that the people that fund and want these Genetics are inhuman and they dont care about anything but money and control. Thus GE is evil ... truelly evil now days.

GE and bioengineering technology even if used responsibly only creates more problems. The real issue is that we don't understand at this point what those problems are.

and even worse they do not understand what dna is all about in the first place/ it is ridiculous to think they can tweak your or my genetics, it is not a linear function and it is not about protein production and after the farce of the human genome project it was right in their face with sets that did not vary more than 1% from a mouses genes etc/ I mentioned on a forum here that a healthy forest puts out a sound spectrum that is wide and varied which is a typically healthy response, yet with a gen modified stand of identical trees there are holes in this healthy spectrum that indicate issues...

Couple of yrs ago, i've seen a short interview on swiss tv with a scientist's son (his father had worked for a 'globally playing' chemical co.), in which he stated that his dad had found out the following during is research:

Seeds, put into an electric field with zero voltage for a certain amount of time, would reverse into their archetype/ original state - even genetically altered ones. ! Imagine !
Should that be correct, there is hope...

Last thing i remember is that further research is taking place in Burkina Faso, under the supervision of the interviewee.

Around 33 mins - this is not the only time when this happened. Corporations have taken over much of the seeds (basic grains) through patents (based on genetic manipulation). Basic grains are the foundation of the 'animal' and human food supply.

There are many cases dealing with corn; even involving people who were growing it in their backs yards. The blowing winds contaminated the private gardens; thus, people were sued or prevented from growing corn - forcing them ('poor people') to buy it.

Since the corporate takeover of seeds (basic grains), freshwater (bottled water and dams) and air (free to breath in but it will cost you to exhale) another take over has been introduced - the corporate ownership of life. In a 'recent' landmark case, a corporation was granted a patent on a life form; the rationale being the same as what is stated in the video.

The precedent has been made; however, only if 'real persons', 'living human beings', 'you' let it be so. Do you want to consent? Have you formally declared independence? Have you woken up yet? You are only a slave if you let it be so - even if you are genetically modified.
