Hello fellow members.
I have seen in the short time I have been here, too many valuable members leave and/or become unwelcome, usually through disputes with other members.
I myself have been in the middle of some of it, so I don't come to you to preach at you as if I were as innocent as the lamb.
The thing that concerns me and I would bet a lot of you too is that even those who become unwelcome have input that is valuable and when they leave, that is lost to us.
Please, do us all a favour, if you have a falling out with another member, a disagreement or whatever, don't go off the deep end and commit internet seppeku, either take it to pm and sort it out respectfully, take a break, report the post or even step away and count to five zillion or something, just DON'T blow yourselves up.
And you better take notice, or I will send my apprentice, Lord Vader around.
He isn't nice, you know.

Agree - If we canīt get along now, how could it be possible in the future. Let people speak their minds, listen to the message and let it ground inside you - then reply. At least we can give ourselves the chance to view a higher, deeper, different meaning of a new vision by digesting it properly.

I agree, and this has been of great concern to me as well. I would very much like to see policy-challenged members be put on probation from posting rather than be forcibly unsubscribed, and still be available via private messaging to those that wish to remain in contact. I find dissent to be extremely valuable, and censorship to be extremely damaging.

I'd add there are tons of free games out there to waste time... They might have a purpose after all... Walking in nature is the best though.
But I have to agree that for someone that is new to all this or that the awakening process has been done too quickly... Ego tend to step in and impose his martial law to keep itself from falling apart. Best thing to do is not to reply with ego too but that's an other story for some...
Maybe add a arena for them to battle it out with pokemons? :fans:

The central and possibly overlooked theme recently seems to be "we haven't been very good stewards of the earth" ....or each other. And listening to some of the vitriol hurled back and forth rather affirms to some of us and 'those' who may be watching is .....that bit of information is still being overlooked. We didn't take very good care of each other. Even now that we know that (and it wasn't news to some people) we still aren't taking very good care of each other and in spite of that reaffirmation it seems that we will continue to not take care of each other. Because one's opinion is more important and sacred than being better stewards...still. I am always amused by those who are ready to mount up on a crusade to save the earth and mankind, and their first act of salvation is to bitchslap everyone who is perceived to stand in their way. Or rush to rally round the flag of Fawlty-Lojik (otherwise known as a personal opinion).
And what I find brow raising is all the **** slinging is typically based on the fact that someone disagreed with someone else. If we can't learn to be graceful when someone disagrees with us what will be do when something far meatier and with a lot more teeth comes our way? If one's agreement is so important to us maybe its better we stay away from those who don't agree with us. Instead I see the opposite, people who are in vehement disagreement going out of each others way to to climb up each others backside.
When one posts their opinion in public, someone is bound to disagree with it. Its not personal, its a disagreement. If someone is using Fawlty-Lojik, someone is bound to notice it. Especially if one is posting in a public forum observed by thousands who may not be employing Fawlty-Lojik.
I'd have to say a disagreement is far far better than publicly being into a corner with their own logic.

Because people tie up their self identity with their opinons, they perhaps have not had the opportunity to develop anything else in side them to support them. So their opinion becomes the central hallmark of who they are. When someone disagrees with their opinion they feel as its a direct slam to their identity and they view it as a flaw in character and they take defense postures when no real attack is present. All goes back to fear. We do have a great learning opportunity all of us in communal and intentional living here, right now. If we can't show respect to each other with the buffer of distance and computer monitors between us how would we do it up close and personal.
I have my own sacred cows and I keep them behind the fence because I know if I let them out and someone slaughters them it will hurt.
Then again people may feel they have nothing to lose because of the monitor buffer, and its their first opportunity to ever be brave enough to reflect who they are. No matter how hard it can be a lot of the what we percieve as the nastlies are issuing a cry for help.

words can't be taken back, as bluestflame says ... words spoken or just as thoughts ... they exist, as part of the individual and collective conscious / subconscious ...they create forms ... they can also degrade your and other's etheric ... they can physically hurt when translated into etheric spikes etc
they can't be taken back but we can stop and go forward and evolve ... walk, and talk, a more sacred way
Slow up ... be, in the gap in between ... respond, from the heart's intelligence ... be warm ... be clear ...
identity / separation consciousness and self-reflection, defensiveness and protectiveness, adds to the illusions of limitations, boundaries, ...

Hey, long time.. I Havent been around in a while, lurking also.
The reason I loved being a member of Avalon was because people listen, are open -minded, they want to learn. I know this is still here. I really hope we can get back on track and remember why we are on this forum. Its become harder and harder to follow threads when each one turns into a personal war instead on just people wanting to learn from each other.
So much to learn, so little time. :)
I'm sticking around.
Lots of love to all at Avalon. x

You're right, but they can be forgiven. Take the initiative.
If a forum is a mono thought, there will be no debate. Then it is not a forum. A forum needs not only many views but opposing views. This does not prevent any member from participating.
Find a thread you like and post there. There are many topics. Nobody forces a member to post on any particular thread. There are many non confrontational threads. I started one. There are many others. If members wish to engage in a thread that is debating opposing views, well expect some fireworks.
Even Lord Sidious started a Holocaust thread knowing full well what that meant. Right my lord?
Ever seen a hot debate on a book, music or film thread? It doesn't happen very often.
Someone start a pro-abortion thread and see what happens.
Start an anti-gay thread and see what happens.
Topics set the tone for what will likely happen on any thread.
Don't paint the whole forum black or white because of a particular thread.
The Charles material has polarised the community. OK Well its confrontational material, you'd expect that. That doesn't mean everyone has to hate each other. You are not children. Forgive and forget and let the community thrive even if there is debate.
Mature adults will not have a problem. They will have the resources and understanding to cope.

Perhaps not a thread to duke it out...but a place where people who are feeling emotionally reactive can be supported in drawing out what ever is ailing them.
I know there's a ton of people in here who have that sort of experience and gotten themselves out of the hole via various means. I mean this may not be a place for therapy...but neither is there a place out there in the artificially constructed world either . And it would be hypocritical to say this place will offer you all the support you need on this journey but we won't explicitly and in the present offer you that support. Offering support. inner resources as one does their painful work alone. All the information we need for that is right here in this forum in some fashion or another, and that is something that people can begin to utilize productively now.
If people want the talking to stop and start doing something that is something that can be done, now. And results manifestation very close to instantaneously. Privacy issues? Do we really have a wound that someone else has not experienced for themselves. How would a community be embarrassed to share its dysfunction child abuse, etc etc if we have all been in that same dark place ourselves. Wounds aren't personal they are shared. By everyone in some fashion or another.
If not on forum than someplace easily accessible off forum. Current circumstances affect us all. How could it be personal. Because a person's wounds make it so. But we all have them so how personal can they be. Not to mention PM and chat functions can be utilized for issues of privacy.
Time is late. There comes a time and it has to be now when we all have to pull ourselves together or we will be of use to no one not even ourselves let alone each other. A time to claim SELF authority. When we all have that there are no longer any issues of self doubt and confusion and painful reactionary states. We can't give that which we don't have access to because of our pain. We need to clear out our crud an we know we can't go to the local psychotherapist who are abiding by Faction doctrine and not what is really good for us as free human spirits. People don't need to be treated for their pain, they need to be cured of their wounds and those who have walked the wounded path can help them not by wound wall lowing but leading them to their wholeness. Wholeness is only a path, a tool to be used in purpose. Its the only ones we need.
We are all wounded people. That which was imposed on us didn't occur just in this lifetime. It's generational, its in our psyche from life times of experiencing it. Humans are notorious for finding those who share their wounds they are a virtual magnet. That's why we have patterns in our life. And this is a pattern. Does this **** EVER end? No we see it here, at home, on other forums. A pattern. How long are we going to keep walking in circles? And we ID immediately with those wounds either in a passionate way that can expresses itself in well intentioned caring or in a way where the person sees their own wounds in others and are repelled by what they see. They find their own selves repellent and abuse the person who reflected their own self loathing back. So they hurl insults at that reflection in an awkward attempt to purge it. A cry for help"I'm trying to yark up my shadow self"
Well lets yark it up.

My answer is yes, be the change.
Rather than judge it as sad, could we be acceptance, and acknowledge that it is what it is ... then choose a new / opposite direction?

Even Lord Sidious started a Holocaust thread knowing full well what that meant. Right my lord?
I did indeed start a thread on that topic knowing there could and probably would be conflict.
There is no wisdom to be gained in ducking out of the hard topics and this one is one of the biggest and needs to be dealt with.
The thing is, I never start a thread or make a post to provoke another member, that isn't my aim.
Not that I am thinking that is your point, I am just saying.
I see posts that I don't agree with and/or find offensive. Sometimes I answer, sometimes I don't. Usually, I wonder to myself ''Can I make a + contribution with a reply?'' and the answer isn't always yes, so I don't always answer.
I made a post in a thread the other day, meaning to point out something to another poster that I thought might help, but it was taken as an insult and they reacted sharply.
When that happens, that is not about you, but about the way that the poster received the info. As a general rule, I have found that it is the receiving station that is the problem more often than the sending station.
The point I was trying to make in the first post, is that if someones post is not 100% clear to you, don't go off half cocked and call in airstrikes and stuff, as with text, not everything comes out as it is meant.

Agree - If we canīt get along now, how could it be possible in the future. Let people speak their minds, listen to the message and let it ground inside you - then reply. At least we can give ourselves the chance to view a higher, deeper, different meaning of a new vision by digesting it properly.
The circumstances have been unique and as part of that the pot has been constantly agitated. Under different conditions I'm sure there wouldn't have been so much conflict, even with large numbers of new members.

Last night I was sitting on my front verandah, allowing myself to feel at one. I was swept along on a wave of pure and intense love energy, despite some fairly unruly and unpleasant stuff that had just happened with my new lodger. I needed to rise above the messy energy that he seems to be mired in.
The feelings I was getting, and the ideas that came clearly to my consciousness were these;
We are all a part of this great plan. Charles' presence has stimulated/ catalysed an important breakthrough potential. Avalon is the start/ heart of the oneness which is needed to elevate and reach our true heart and soul purpose in this aeon, before the change, or as we change.
Avalon will naturally go through some rough times, as people are people (tough crowd as chicodoodoo says!),but if we are here for a reason, which we must be, then we will have to unite to proceed to higher places.
We are the loving kernel, the growing seed, which is to develop into the great flower or tree of life anew.
The feeling was immensely clear, loving and free. The growth was slow and imperceptible, but at the same time, I could see every petal, linking up with every other petal, in a fluid stream.
What I experienced was so subtle, but it was so complete and truthful. It overrode the background noise, which was unpleasant.
At a very important juncture in proceedings, I looked up to see the owl who seems to guide me and watch over me at peak moments. He was perched directly in front of me on the powerline, less than 20 feet away, looking straight at me for ten minutes, he then flew around to the side of the house and perched again, facing a new direction.
We are to become one family in this realm, before we can move on.
That is what I got.
Please let love rule.
