Hello Everyone

First off let me just say thank you to the Universe for not allowing me to post my snarky reply in another thread - it gave me time to come up with a potential solution instead of just a complaint :argue:

I am only speaking for myself, however it is from the perspective of an older member that transitioned here from the original PA. I love all the energy and the enthusiasm that has come with the influx of new members. The addition of new information and sources is always welcome. If we had all the answers, we wouldn't be here!

However it has come with a price. Someone on another thread compared it to a mid-life baby - all the kids had grown -up, you finally have the house to yourself and Surprise :baby: For me, it's more like triplets :suspicious:

It is not the new members - it is the overwhelming amount of posts. It seems like there are pages (and pages and pages) of just simply chat. Nothing wrong with being polite but this is a forum and PA has a great chat room for the "hey - good to see ya" and "have an awesome night" kind of posts. There is also a great PM feature. I really believe if those two tools were utilized more often then we would greatly reduce the amount of posts and make the forum much more user friendly. I have frankly given up about 6-7 pages in some topics due to the "chattiness" and lack of actual content relating to the topic.:doh:As you all can tell from my member status I am an observer more than a poster but I truly care about this site and the valuable information it contains.

My two cents for what it's worth

PS - I have seen several comments about how some members must not appreciate the content because they haven't given out very many "thank you's" - so just to let the newer folks know - that is a more recent feature so it can't really be used to measure how much we appreciate each other.
