i recently jioned the avalon forum.
it took me three attempts to join.
what happened one night when i was drunk,
i disrespected charles on his forum.
ross banned me for this.

the next day i was embrassed by my behaviour.
i felt stupid and i was remorseful.

but ross had only banned me for a month and not permanatly ,of wich i am grateful for.

i would like to take this opportunity to apoligise to bill,charles,the mods and the whole of the project avalon community for my silly behaviour.

so may i say hello to you all as a fresh start

I have got up in the morning, still not sober, and read what I wrote before I went to bed. I would have no recollection of writing it, and in general, although uninhibited, I never did any permanent damage (except to my liver).

That was a fair time ago.

But I've been down the black hole again since.

10 months dry now.

If you can't control it, it controls you.

I wish you strength. You already have wisdom.

Your frank admission got me thinking about myself and here's how I got round similar situations.
I hope this tip helps...(?)

A few years back I did some stand up comedy (don't ask for jokes I was a 'deadpan' type). After a few terrible first gigs I learnt the great secret of comedy. Which was everything would always work out ok ONLY as long as you were the soberest person in the room. The drunker the crowd the better in fact as to a room full of inebriates a completley sober comedian APPEARS to have razorsharp wit and intelligence (whereas in reality they have dumbed themselves down very very quickly).

I still use that for any public speaking (which I now include this forum).

Please don't think I'm comparing Avalon to a bunch of drunken comedy punters though.:p:

Hi Manny,
welcome back, good outcome. I sometimes think that a forum at the sharp edge such as this, could perhaps have an area specifically to VENT, where a soul in torment can be heard, with nobody trying to fix it or lighten it, just hearing it. This work is mighty upsetting sometimes and does have an effect on mood. The whole process of awakening can be shocking & depressing, we can feel betrayed and frightened. Learning how to safely express feelings can be exhillerating and energising. Anyway manny way to go.

This advice is only a fix that will stop you from hurting others but it does not fix the problem.

It is my belief that many of us drink and tune out due to the old memories of betrayals of Atlantis and Lemuria without realizing where this great psychic pain is coming from ~ I've never met anyone who was exempt from it and I've had some experience as I am as old as dirt. So it is easy to see why we can do this. Once under the influence our pain can take negative and often humerous turns but it is not a reflection on that which we strike out at ~ it is a hammering we are doing to ourselves within our own hearts. Unfortunately when called upon our actions the good result comes in our desire for forgiveness. Most of us have done something like this in our lifetimes and possibly many times ; ) It is great when we can discuss these important things even if they feel like embarrassments (!) and move forward into the light of a new day and here, we are doing this together with some unity and purpose.
