Does anyone have any tips to share on how you maintain your focus?

There are so many distractions - ETs, secrets, earth changes ... things that affect us tangentially, but the lights of home are still shining far away on the horizon.

Various sources have impressed upon me how far I am from where I could have been by now and getting concerned by my own status just serves to remind me that I am only a tiny fragment of a vast whole.

I think that balance is important.

I try not to spend too much time on any one thing. It can be good to walk away from the research side of things for a while and take it easy doing stuff that you enjoy.I try not to take any research info too seriously as usually nothing can be proven.

The tricky but interesting part can be sifting out the tidbits that resonate from the rest.

I doubt that anyone is going to get the whole complete true picture so i think that it doesn't matter how far along the path you are but that you are on the path.

cheers

I'm probably more qualified to help you in terms of what not to do these days LOL. However there was a time a few months ago when I turned pretty much everything off, meditated every night instead of reading/TV/internet of any kind; left the radio off in the car etc, and went to bed early every night. This went on for 2-3 months. I never felt so focused... which reminds me that I should get back to doing it. I feel totally out of focus these days. Too much information, not enough reflection.

I know what you mean, I go through phases like that too... it can be frustrating.

But I couldn't agree more with the advise that Johnathon and Ponda gave you, it's really perfect. It can be as simple or as complex as we make it out to be. Take the simple path and disconnect from electronics, get lots of quality sleep and start a habit of meditating the same time every day, even if it's only for 5-10 minutes. Try and commit to it for a couple weeks and see if that shifts things for you.

We may all be a tiny fragment of the vast whole, be we are all a part of it. Recconect.

Now I will foucs on taking my own advise! Thank you kosmicat for steering me back in the right flow as well.

Di

First of all: there is only one true person you can absolutely trust.

You Yourself .. well the higher part of you , referred as Thou sometimes.

Rest is bringing down the walls between You and Thou.

Looking from that perspective, there is mater of judging, what helps you, what is not.

What is just an Ego trip designed to keep you going in loops.

What is Pyramidal trap, designed to suck down the innate energy flow we all participate in.

Know thyself.

What is emotion and what is Emotion.

Real vs neurostimulation.

Learning to keep your mind still to hear the whispers of the Mind helps.

Calm down, you'll never know all (well, nobody will). So enjoy the everyday details, small pieces of information which call your attention and don't gasp for everything, it can become an obsession and that is painful. Ponda's words will help you a lot.

What do you want to focus on?

Vision first - focus second.

That was my tip for you.

yes yes.... know this all too well.... being ADD and Aspergers everything grabs my attention, and all at the same time.

There are tricks u can use to filter, and limit the amount of stimulus u are exposed to.

These days i find headphones very handy, when i damped the noise around me, i can focus much better,

Also... work out what times of the day you work better.

Exercise is great also, as is the right diet, protein helps with focus, as its raises your dopamine.

The focus/distraction thing has been a lifetime battle, so im also looking for new ways to improve this,

The internet hasnt helped us much either,
our attention spans are getting shorter and shorter generally speaking ,
with or without brain issues.

I will add more to this later as i think of more tips....

blessings,

Astrid
