Thanks for this (opportunity), Bright!
As you know,
Most days now [...] I prefer silence !!!too.

However, this thread is just screaming for these ones here (long-time loved companions of mine):

New Noise - Refused (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3AoiVMQqX4)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3AoiVMQqX4

The :exploding: band... these dynamics have carried me thru quite some ruff times yet... and i do love the vid. Too bad they're gone...

New Millenium Cyanide Christ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4A_tSyJBsRQ)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4A_tSyJBsRQ

The music of these guys has many qualities... they taught me to listen differently: listening to the whole, instead of focusing (somehow like 'soft view'). They have made me able to find beauty in seeming chaos and infernal noise.
[The vid is hilarious. For me, it's the metal vid. That's one of their older less elaborate (erm... what?) pieces. Sounds like a pop song to me nowadays. First thing i heard of 'em]

Dogman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDBy5aKFG2k)
[different version behind the link]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aR285zba0kU

I simply love these guys. They've been with me ever since.
Whenever i can make it, we meet & celebrate.

Cheers!

hi & nice thread :)

music is a big key in my opinion. i love all music becouse its the vibration. to vibrate together with music can be a pretty fun and exiting thing to do :)

as for myself i play guitar, and the wierd thing is that i rather listen to my own music than others.

here is one of my favorite plays i relly enjoy playing. i play my own song in a tuning of D-G-C-F-A-D at 432Hz (cycles) . as the titlse says its funny times and it do take my mind and body elsewhere :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=495whtg-3hc

here is the song i play if im homesick or miss souls that arent here on this planet.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NimktdVjeTI

and here we have the song i use for healing :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gn-dodwkH8

all of my songs i do see clearer and clearer "videos". and verry rarley that these "videos" change each time i play these.

other than this music i would deffently recommend musicians like Tom Waits, Les Claypool, Devin Townsend, Neil Young, Beatles and soo many more. music to me is a big key.

we all vibrate like the string of a guitar :)

plz ignore 666 sample at beginning, that has got nothing to do with the freedom expressed in this footage.
Footage is from a Dutch tekno docu about illegal parties...
....I wrote a poem about it...

3D struggles to crawl upon the moment,..
Absolutely no knowledge about what's next to come...

Our future relies purely on how we approach and own it..
on how we enter the temple and how we cross the river styx below it. Note that If we just keep falling asleep like the lame shameless sheep we are
we almost seem to beg to bear the shackles of illusion, lies and deceit, .
did I mension relentless repression, death, slavery ,the clash of classes,
intens skull-bashing, soul-thrashing, untill all life's crashing!...

No, what I am refering to is the world in between today and tomorrow,...
...the timeless world in between the past and the future,...
This is where we create, were we celebrate, this is were we heal planets, stars, lives..this is were we prepare death to die for us before the future arrives at the end of the night,..the very end of all times

NO PARTY NO FUTURE!
BREACH THE PEACE!
FORWARD THE REVOLUTION!

yeah i use the 432hz. i stumbeled kinda over this by mistake. but the feeling and visions i gots when i found it. hehe.

i havent seen the vid before.l but i find it verry remarking that when i use 432 to the max . this is the message i gets. this is the uhm knowledge that is kinda opened before my minds eye. it sounds wierd and crazy, but i dont care :)

and yeah many songs are great to listen to in that Hz. i use audacity among many other programs to alter music and sounds to what i wants :)

Yes I´ve downloaded Audacity myself to explore with it although I don´t quite find the difference in many songs, maybe I am not doing correctly the conversion...
one of the most impressive changes was this video of M. Jackson, I am not into him but this song in 432hz has a powerful effect...

yeah ive herd this song in that tuning. and michael used 432 in many places. so does many other mucians :) many are removed though :/

like these kinda searches with 432hz and so on is uhm banned from viewing in my country.

thnk ye for liking my healing song. if you notice my hands become red. and irl sometimes its almost like i can see through my hands :)

with the audio. it takes alotta time and effort to create music again to the 432hz. well ive had trubbles atleast :) sometimes the sound just doesnt come through. mesa thinks its becouse of the stepping down on the flat tones that you get when tuning to 432.
but juuust a theory :)

but yes it has a powerfull effect sometimes :) fun to read that other ppl are actually listeting to this :)

hi :)

its a tuning. if it interests you, you should relly check out Hertz . cycles per second . music today is on 440 = A . most music atleast. but that was changed only about a 100 years ago. before that they used the 432hz tuning.

many speculate of the power behind these tunings and vibrations. best i can say is read up on it if you wants to know :)

ellu :)

as for the program, well audacity is a goodoo start. it should be a freeware prog so. other than that if you wanna dive i use cubase and soundforge. these are alittle more indepth.
those are the ones ive used. but there are many other programs out there. just have to find what suits you. but as for the raw basic tuning Audacity should do the trick :)

Here's one by a heavier band called Periphery. Soaring vocals and spectacular instrumentation. I can only let the music speak for itself.

It's nice to read the lyrics along with it because the message they convey adds to the experience of listening.

Lost the way
Feel the world below me
Painlessly ascend
Torn away dissolving the life I know
Grasp the light
Feel the glow enfolding
Exaltation
Isolate the answers are truths from lies

Loss of faith
The path unravels before me
Unholy day
I'm letting go

Void the past, create the new
Separate the few because I hold ability to lead
Astray
Now living through every day on the path between
The frozen lines

Now no one ever will know about this experience
Will someone for once step back
And gaze upon the world through my eyes

Drawn behind the point of view
Seal us from the truth
On our own the fear of life decays

Time alone reveals our fatal aspect of arrogance
In life we're not the only ones
Free from the walls I'm alive

Lost the way
The path unravels before me
Unholy day I'm letting go

Through times, these cries distort the view
Hopeless misdirection
We all defy the chance to know
This world is not the one I knew
Holding tight to our beliefs
Awake to what we have become

A song that always brings tears of gratitude to my eyes is Mercedes Sosa's version of Gracias a la Vida (Thanks to life), a Chilean folk song.

This version, from a live concert, is an especially powerful one and the dynamics between Ms. Sosa's singing and the audience's cheers at the end makes me so flippin' proud to be a human being!

The clip doesn't play out of YouTube, so here's the link. (Apologies in advance for the very cheesy graphics... but Ms. Sosa's voice is so soulful-- you'll not even see them.):

* Gracias a la Vida: Mercedes Sosa (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzdSuLgTBeo&feature=related) *

English translation of the lyrics:

Thanks be to Life that has given me so much.
It gave two bright stars that when opened,
perfectly distinguishes the black from the white,
and the starry depths of the far off high sky,
and the multitudes of the man that I love.

Thanks be to Life that has given me so much.
It gave me an ear that within its width
records night and day crickets and canaries,
hammers, turbines, barking, rainstorms,
and the oh so tender voice of my dearly beloved.

Thanks be to Life that has given me so much.
It has given me sound and the alphabet,
with it the words that I think and declare:
'mother', 'friend', 'brother' and 'shining light',
the route to the soul of the one I am in love with.

Thanks be to Life that has given me so much.
It has given me the march of my tired feet;
with them I walked through cities and puddles,
beaches and deserts, mountains and plains,
and your house, your street and your courtyard.

Thanks be to Life that has given me so much.
It has given me a heart that speeds its beating
when I look at the fruit of the human mind,
when I look at the good which is so far from the evil,
when I look into the depths of your clear eyes.

Thanks be to Life that has given me so much.
It has given me laughter and it has given me sorrow,
in that way I can distinguish happiness from grief,
the two aspects that form my song
and your song, which is the same song,
and the song of everyone-- which is my own song.

Thanks be to Life that has given me so much . . .

I saw someone posted Red Hot Chili Peppers already... but (in my opinion) "Under the Bridge" is ONE OF THE BEST song ever written by a man.

I enjoyed this forum a lot, Thanks for sharing :o

Thank you all for sharing the moments. It is nice to get aware about the nuggets of music I have not heard before.

Wanted to share this etheric, vikingesk melody. I like it because it's both uplifting and nostalgic at the same time:

You've probably heard this beautiful piece from the film Avalon:
(music Kenji Kawai)

At the time this is my most uplifting, etheric piece of music I listen to when in need:

This is the largo from the Winter section of Vivaldi's Four Seasons - that's the feeling aspect. The attitude aspect is that it's being performed on electric guitar! I don't personally know this guy, but I think he plays fabulously! (If it doesn't embed/show up, click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TihJm-otEQ0).

I am now living an innocent life
每天都和姐姐一起玩耍
Everyday playing with my sister
没有忧愁,(也)没有烦恼
No concerns, no worries
也没有勾心斗角的尔虞我诈
Nor scheming to cheat each other

可我知道这时光不会太久
But I know this time will not last
因为我只是普通矿工的娃
Because I am just an ordinary miner’s child
在街上,在坡下,在校园中
On the street, at the bottom of the slopes, in the middle of the schoolyard
狂吼着汪峰创作的歌谣
Wildly hollering Wang Feng‘s ballad

如果有一天,快乐已远去
If one day, happiness has left
请把我留在,在这时光里
Please leave me, here in this time.
如果有一天,梦想已逝去
If one day, dreams are gone
请把我埋在,在这煤堆里
Please bury me, in this pile of coal

想起那不久将来的生活
Reminded of that near-future life
那时我已长大了许多
Then I will have grown up a lot
没有真情也没有真爱
Without true friends or true love
有的是许许多多的小三小四
With many xiao san xiao si ["little third (party), little fourth (party)", mistresses]

可我们还是要为生存挣扎
But we will still need to struggle for our survival
即使煤矿有再多危险
No matter how dangerous the coal mines remain
在晚上,在坑下,在黑暗中
At night, in the tunnels, in the darkness
煎熬在阴冷潮湿的煤窑
Suffering in the cold and damp coal pits

如果有一天,快乐已远去
If one day, happiness has left
请把我留在,在这时光里
Please leave me, here in this time.
如果有一天,梦想已逝去
If one day, dreams are gone
请把我埋在,在这煤堆里,煤堆里~~~~
Please bury me, in this pile of coal, pile of coal

Sorry I could not help myself .

Raw attitude an feeling . :o

"Going Home", the theme from the film Local Hero (Mark Knopfler, Dire Straights).

When my son was born 13 yrs ago I wanted to make sure it was the very first music that fell on his ears.... so straight back from the hospital, stereo gently on, and played it for him. He plays a mean guitar himself now ;-)

It's a track that starts as a baby, grows into a beautiful child, and finishes with grace, power, beauty and dignity. Every time I hear this I feel empowered.

Did I just write that mushy stuff? Yeah! Listen and hope you enjoy

I wanna see through all the lies of society
To the reality, happiness is at stake
I wanna hold up my head with dignity
Proud of a life where to give means more than to take
I want to live beyond the modern mentality
Where paper is all that you're really taught to create
