I came upon the Hendaye Cross...whilst recovering from cancer..mrsa..etc
Having gone through numerous hurdles in the past..
You know that feeling when your half way up that rope ladder..and you either slide slowly..or you whizz down...and your dangling...

Had to focus my mind on something else..
Funny how things show up in the most unlikely places...
Sometimes your not sure why you are led to certain area's of investigation..research..
or just there to observe..
From a small child..being taught to use all my senses from..the invisible realms..
that my family were not aware of..
Anyway that's another subject for another time..

Throwing myself into some research of my own..Ancestry...by internet, letters & phone
The leads took me from UK..CANADA..ST,PIERRE..then i was stuck...
My Surname at birth...caused me no end of problems...
I found a few of my genetic family along the way...even they had only storys to go by..
St.Malo..and De Luz..kept cropping up..
So did some research around those....

I came upon the Hendaye Cross..researched and researched..
The cross is said to have been constructed ... sometime in the mid 1600's
Location is unknown..Germany has been mentioned..moved to Hendaye maybe early
to mid 1800's..
Rumore is.. that it was financed by the Rosicrucians.

Some sites that i got into..saved as desk top icons..just weren't there when i went back
to view them...
As this has happened in the past and still happens.. i knew i was getting close...

Blimey!...bingo...
The surnames i was looking for..turned up...
My Ancesters came from Hendaye in the Pyrenees Atlantiques...
The cross sits in the small courtyard... south of the church of St, Vincent...

Mr Steven White...Canada.. who studies the Basque people...could not believe i had managed to get this far..and commended me on my research...

As i have found out..the Basque people are keeping quiet on my ancestry....LOL!

Just thought i would share this little snippet with you Avalonians...

Thankyou...

Hi Wub,

Ask away....
If it is The Hendaye Cross...there is alot of material on the net and in books..

There was a book published in 1926 called The Mystery Of The Cathedrals..
By Eugene Canseliet and Jean-Julien Champagne.

Here is one web site you could start with....

Hope this answers your question...

Sorry i'm a bit slow on this forum stuff....
Keep pressing the wrong things...LOL!..
Be kind to me thanks...

Hi GK76,
Sorry it took so long to get back to you..
Couldn't find this place again...still pressing the wrong area's on this forum...Grrrrrr!..

There is alot of mystery..surrounding my Ancestry trail..
You could say murder mystery is included..

I seem to be a heinz 57 variety on the female line..the further i went back...LOL!
All the people in the Basque area....who i have contacted about my Ancestral roots..seem to decline a responce...
Even though i have translated everything into French...nil...nothing..

A lady i contacted.. who speaks Basque and teaches in America..managed to find a little on the Spanish side..
The main Surname...on the French side...nothing..
Even though i have a copy of the document in French and English..that these people existed..
The mind boggles..

Jay Weidner researched this for years. He includes some information in a few of his dvds and also wrote a book about it:

*** after post addition ***

Here is a very short artical he wrote on the subject:

No worries you'll get the hang of the forum in no time. I appreciate your taking the time to explain your intriguing quest for knowledge with us. :)

That's quite a trek you've been through - it's sad that there is no answer from the Basque side, do you believe it to be that they are hiding the truth or just simply have no interest in helping you? I guess the Church must have the information, the trouble is quite often the records are not online.

I certainly hope that whatever is blocking your progress eases and you can get the answers you deserve. :)

Hi GK76,

Thanks,
There is far too much for me to go into here...
There is some sort of Masonic, etc...involvement...
The revolution is another aspect....
I felt almost warned off..seeking any further...
