Hello my name is jim im new here and this is my first post .Please excuse any grammer mistakes as secondary education in the uk in the eighties was abit hit and miss for me.This post is about an event that happend to me in my home town as a teenage boy,it was the autumn half term holidays and being a teenage boy in eighties that ment one thing only to obtain and have as much fun with fireworks as you possibly could. It was on one of those fun filled evenings that my friends and I found ourselfs in a part of town that i was unfamilar with,we had just set of a firework and were in the process of legging it (running away) to escape the wrath of middle england rage when I felt compelled to stop dead in my tracks and to stare at a house to side of me.
I stood outside the house with a strange feeling almost as if i had reached home and needed to go in,it was then with a loud knock on the front window of the property from an unknowen woman mouthing at me to move on.I quickly came to my senses and continued to run up the street to catch up with my friends, who had stoped in a near by allyway bemused to why I had stopped outside that house. I told them in a hesitated way that I felt a connection to the house as if I lived there before or something like that,my friends just laughed as I knew they would and we left to carry on with our nocturnal activieties.

Some 12 years latter my life had continued in and around the same town with college, geting local employment in various semi skilled and unskilled jobs. A few relationships,a possible alien or entity experiance in 1989 (thats for another day) and then marriage.

I married a local girl and we both worked hard and managed to get a mortgage and move onto the property ladder. My wife and I continued to move up the so called property ladder and purchased our next property in the spring of 97 my wife had chosen the property as it was ideal for our current situations. I spent most of that summer decorating and modernizeing the house,it was then in the autumn of that year just as I was about to close the curtains as the evening drew in that i heard a firework go off.

It was almost like a freight train had hit me the memory that had been unlocked by the sound of the firework was yes you might of gussed, the house I was standing in was the same house I had stood outside of all those years ago.I could almost see myself standing outside looking in. Now it might be possible that subconsciously I purchased that house because of that event, but I really dont think so? But what is clear to me is that something did happen to me that night and the odds of being able to purchase the house in the first place are fairly high.

So was it just a case of a delayed 12 year deja vu? who knows? Maybe are futures are pre set not in stone but in bricks and mortar for some.
peace and love to all jimbo 11:11.

Thanks Jimbo,

Very interesting, thanks. I believe that place between our thoughts... there is no time. All potentials are happening now. Now and then, an awareness of an event 'bleeds' through.

I find it enjoyable to speak to my past self at times ... counseling my younger self to say or not say certain things, do or don't do certain things with the benefit of hindsight wisdom. This then sets up a dialogue at present time to speak to my future wise self or even radiant wise self.

I wish you joy with your family in your home. Create dreams of wonder so that one fine day (of many days) you will walk in to another splendid deja vu.

Welcome to Avalon.
