View Full Version : ** Avalon Old-Timers Thread (NEWCOMERS WELCOME!)**

Hiram

Okay. Step into my smoking room.

Won't you stay a awhile?

This is a thread for Avalon Old-Timers to get together and discuss the longitudinal development of Avalon..where its going and where its been.

Also a place for Fellowship, which we ALL need, and value greatly.

Newcomers are welcome to join in the discussion of course...this club isn't exclusive. Sometimes new eyes see what old eyes can't!
(Hiram slaps his knee theatrically and sips on his glass of cognac.)

So step right in, and kick those tired ole dogs up. How do you know if your an Ole-timer? Well if you feel like one...you probably are.

You're in a good place. (There's a shotgun under the counter.)

What's on your mind???

I'll start us off on the right foot...since it's my lounge:

Ole-Timers, What is it that you think makes Avalon different from other forums on the web??
(sub-question: How do we keep that going?)

Would be wise though for some of them youngsters to walk through the old stuff already posted...
Sometimes I get the feeling of a grandeur Deja-Vu...
On the other hand Ive seen stuff pop up that even this old fart hadn't seen before...
(Its not a great amount, in my case (before my head gets chopped off:p) but still it is there...)

On sailing vessels (maritime History is one of my "Things") they used to call the experienced sailors... "Old hands".

They were vital to the running of the ship. Without them, the youngsters couldn't "learn the ropes".

Our language is dominated by sea terms!!

and I say: Hiram & Swami, get a room! Oh, this already is a room. Sorry ;)

As a "noob" to this, or any other similar forum, I extend my heartfelt thanks for the welcome I have received. As I assume (and we do know what that can result in) that this thread is as a result of the many old-timers feeling as though a tsunami hit tranquil shores. I think it goes with the proverbial territory. It is sad to see stalwarts disgruntled. What I would prefer, is that they just step back a little, and observe. Keyboard warrios will either tire or get "unsubscribed" (*gasp*)

I have learnt SO much in the little time since I started here (although I too have been observing). A prefect mirror. Reflecting both good and bad. As for offering suggestions, I have no comparison, so am happy with what is already here......

Thank you for "listening"

My business partner (and best friend) Christina and I ran our shop (with richards help of course) just the two of us for 4 years.

18 months ago we hired two young , creative and vibrant girls. They have brought to the table a youthful and dynamic perspective, that even though christina and i are not old crones and definitely have our own sense of style, we could never have matched.

How vibrant is Avalon these days?...

this is my view...be careful it may be to purple for some

Thats what we are here for Viralspiral.:-)

It's natural for old hands to be disgruntled...it happens. This thread is for discussion though, not griping. Even though I can admit griping will occur.

No, its for thoughts unsung. It's a positive affirmation of fellowship.

I'm glad everyone's here.

Small idea trhat popped up....

I used to roam around in the SOHO databases searching for those things they forgot to add out...
Along the way other people start doing it and I quit...
Maybe we can organise some groups within Avalon searching for that stuff...
Lets say a couple go for the Mars material, others go for Moon material, Sun material etc.......

What about that idea....?
Lets organise this place a bit, divide some tasks...
Its pretty hard these days to keep up with all the reading and I truly miss the planet-/sunstuff.....

I used to work/sail on this ship during the summers..........

Well, I love the thread here for old-timers, newcomers, the senile, the weak and the blessed Grandmothers. Let me say hello, and invite you to become my friend. I am ancient yet rather new. I have a trigger finger on the "thank" button. Cats, small children, and most pets love me, my children do not write anymore. I'm not so sure about the rest of the planet but send out love, love, love anyway, just in case, there is a need for it and also because it's my JOB. I've never been busier than since I've retired and I work under a slave-driving boss ~ myself.

Hope to see more of you and I will toddle on out now because I just finished writing something in an "intent" thread and ended up talking about "Truth" instead. One of the things about being a Great-Grandmother is that even tho we can reverse aging, it doesn't happen overnight and until then, we tend to wander about a bit. I will get this right, of that, I have no doubt but ask for your patience while finding my way around the boards and mumbling off topic occasionally.

Organization seems to be a theme at avalon of late...

Well, then. I've arrived in just the nick of time ~ hopefully to help out with organizational matters ~ NOT.

Sweet Golden Years: Spring Cleaning? Please wake me when it's over. We got a new foot of snow last night, I am tucked under my electric blanket and there is not even a tinsy peek of Spring around the place. Please keep talking about it's arrival, it's like a lullaby to my ears except for the cleaning and you can count me out as my house is immaculate :p : )

Be thought a fool or speak and remove all doubt? ~ I vote for speaking ~ all fools recognize each other anyway, so it's not like it's a big secret. Doubt and boredom are the greatest killers of spirit. So by all means, remove all doubt. And now it is time for my nap.
Love you! xoxoxox

I suppose I am an old hand but defer to those who have been around for years. What first attracted me to this place was the intelligent and rich discussion on a broad range of subjects and what added to the high vibe for me was the obviously high level at which so many people were coming at the subject matter in terms of moral integrity, spiritual and intellectual development. Real contributions were made with a sense of humor and a gentle touch. That is what is of value to me here. Whoever/whatever brings things of value to the table that increases our collective knowledge and enhances our development is welcome as far as I am concerned.

I found this quote from Hermann Hesse's GLASS BEAD GAME that is I believe, an exemplary goal to aspire to in this Forum:

"People know, or dimly feel, that if thinking is not kept pure and keen, and if respect for the world of the mind is no longer operative, ships and automobiles will no longer run right, the engineer's slide rule and the computations of banks and stock exchanges will forfeit validity and authority and chaos will ensue. It took long enough in all conscience for realization to come that the externals of civilization -technology, industry, commerce and so on also require common basis of intellectual honesty and morality."

Why have you, and many other youngsters, waited so long to step on the train....?

Firstly, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who consider yourselves old timers. To me you are all young at heart. You have shared your love, knowledge, opinions, insights and given unselfishly of your time. You have been my teachers and many of you have become my friends. I am indeed grateful to you all.

For myself, I tend not to post unless I feel I have something important to share that is new to a thread. Usually, the high points in a thread get covered before I get a chance to post so, I just give my thanks to the posts that resonate with me. Didn't jump on the train until I felt like I had something of import to share.

Blessings, Angellight

Hi guys, I'm still here although I do not post much. I am normally busy researching stuff and sharing stuff on my facebook wall. (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=565591049) There is so much going on in the world, so much happening I can't keep up. I appreciate the Avalon forum, but have to admit that I have not been coming here that much recently.
My brain needs a rest sometimes, there is just so much info out there.
I'm really thinking that planet X might be the reason for everything that is going on in the world at present, I do have different theories every week, but I'm still searching and learning.
Does anyone else have a clue whats going on and why?

love Matty.

Hiram , just because you asked friend. :)...one more time for the sake of good friends ...
I was following Avalon from 2008, then joined because I felt the urge from spirit to come and Karen was so nice to welcome me then.
(does anyone knows her e-mail???),finally I started my journey in September of 2009 and later here on this Avalon.

Farewell again and may God bless you all dear souls! May this wonderful song from David Coverdale cheer you all ...

Ole-Timers, What is it that you think makes Avalon different from other forums on the web??
(sub-question: How do we keep that going?)

originally, for me, this place was different from the others bcos it was somewhere that people could come together and share information....a place to learn and exchange ideas and thoughts on interviews and information pertaining to these interviews...and everything inbetween too...
i suppose it was a place where one would feel comfortable and open enough to disclose and share whatever they had without worrying at all...in an arena where the type of talk did not have boundaries...

there are no boundaries...ever...

i personally dont believe anyone can keep that vibe and energy going....and especially on a forum like this.....simply bcos things sure enough change...

the flow and breath of life is inevitable and one should consider flowing with and not against...it makes for a more thrilling ride...

the forum has changed considerably from the original a few yrs ago...it has changed a shed-load since last month and indeed last week...

smile an enjoy everything you can...you are in control of everything...believe it or not...

listen and absorb everything...especially those bits inbetween the lines...

believe everything if you want, or nothing if you prefer...

but most of all....follow your heart...if it doesnt feel right or ring true within you..then just leave it....it may well not be your truth....
and equally if whatever you read or hear really flicks your switch then run with it as far as you want to....but please note...not everbody may agree with you...which in itself is totally cool...

you are more amazing than you can comprehend

be you

I liked it better when we all listened to the wireless. All this flickering moving faces an stuff takes me away from doin things and guves me a headache.

I was getting to wondering there for a while if someone was selling add space down the left and side. There were faces poppin up like snowdrops and always with somethin clever to say. Gawd, if I wanted a lot of that I'd pay for satellite telly and be done with it.

Been far too much :amen: and :boxing::fencing: :bump2: goin on for my likein'.

:smash::ranger:.

I'm not planning on leaving cos of it tho, just gives be a break to do other things while new folks get settled down a bit.

Was it 'mission drift' or was it 'story walking'?, but something threw me out fo kilter. I mean, at one time we were hearing that the bad guys were on our case and they were the all powerful rulers, then it drifted around a bit till we were being hushed to listen to a good guy with good ideas. From a man who was looking towards reducing his involvement to a guy who's gathering up a crowd and putting a web site together for it all.

If I'd just popped in on Jan 1st and then only popped in again last week I'd be absolutely sure we were talking about 2 completely different people. Perhaps it's just me and my slowness on the uptake when something big, new and creative is happening under my nose.

Or am I chewin' the cud for a reason here?

Don't mind me. I'm going to the back of the peloton for a chat with the team car and let the youngsters take the pace up these hills. I got a feelin this days race is going to come to a fast sprint finish and probable a pile up that I can't get in front of so I'm staying far back from it.

Tomorrow's another day on the road and we're a long way from Paris yet. Y'don't often see the olympic types get that far but I've been in the company of em a few times in the broom wagon with the Bonk.

I think this'll be me last Tour de France...................

[ sorry, mods, if this is just crazy bonk chatter, delete it, I don't mind. HONEST!

I thought this was good and funny as well.

I am a new here. I got here with the Charles wave but not because of it. I had been watching videos by Bill and Kerry. I so enjoyed how they treated the information and the people with respect and care.

I found The Big Picture page on Camelot http://projectcamelot.org/big_picture.html

Read all the tabs on that page and decided to join.

When I get away from the noisy part of the forum, the level of discussion is amazing. I thought I knew something about some of these topics. Nope No way. Not on this level.

I appreciate those who came before me. I do not know Barry King but reading through the old forum post and such. How can you not respect him and what he did. There are many other of course too many to name.

So thanks old guys and gals.

I'm listening keep talking.

Hiram, Swami,

I will not talk about boats. We built the Titanic and it sank first time around.

But I will say, continue the hard work guy's. Avalon is different for its content. It keeps it real, with current events, and discusses the syuff that others will not. It respects all views and welcomes all kind, and quite AMAZINGLY in this day and age, it asks for nothing but good content.

Tell me, where else are you going to find that? Really?

From an Oul Fart, Avalon is the best and others are trying to reach this level (and failing bad), which is the ultimate complement. That says it all.

Did you that the cap'ten of the Titanic was connected to the Jesuits....?

Welcome to the Unfastened Coins website. This site is dedicated to exposing the truth about the government's involvement in the sinking of the Titanic. Specifically, that they did it (and by "they" I mean Jews).

I created this documentary to spread the truth about the government coverup in Oklahoma, Waco, New York Middle East the North Atlantic.

I'm just a kid with a laptop who discovered the truth, but I encourage you to do your own research and come to your own conclusions based on my premise that the government is lying to you and that your disagreement with said premise constitutes your admission of being a sheep. I suggest starting with my video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saHs6J0OXVI

http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=af07

Certain conspiracy theorists believe that there was a force behind the sinking of the Titanic. A Catholic order known as the Jesuits compelled to carry out Jesus’ work. In this instance, theorists believe that the establishment of the U.S. Federal Reserve was ushered into being. Those in belief of the theory speak of a group of Illuminati, enlightened individuals with a plan for a New World Order, in which it will be necessary to establish the Federal Reserve.

When I joined Avalon a few months back (thanks to your encouragement Hiram :) ) I thought i'd check it out post a few few new threads and be done with the lot of you.....However, I now find myself posting nearly once day and gaining new perspectives from MANY members, HIRAM, Carmody, 777, are some of my favorites but the list is ever evolving day by day as are we. Its nice to gain input from like minds (some more "like" than others) and hear new takes on the unseen forces troubling our world. Now a treat for those with time (wrong thread i know, but sometimes i can't help myself=i thinks you all will enjoy....

So what I'm hearing from you ladies and gentleman thus far is....

*Avalon is a rich source of information

*Avalon raises the bar when it comes to forum behavior

*Avalon provides spiritual succor to those who seek it

*Avalon is a training ground for those who wish to sharpen their intellect

*Avalon is a place of fellowship--a place to find like-minded individuals.

*Avalon is a place of acceptance...not always of our ideas, or our opinions, but of US.

*Avalon is a clarion call....to those who are just opening their eyes (what a wonderful time in one's life that is!)

*Avalon is music to those who have been watching for a long time.

*Avalon is a meeting place.

If these things above are true--it begs a question.

Are we now accelerating our own evolution here??? Can a rising tide raise all ships?

Yes Smat I agree with you I am beggining to wonder as well if all these changes are linked to the dreaded PX theory ... things seem to be quickening up... earth changes have gone into overtime...lets hope we all have a smooth transition...you know, I really do believe that we have our benevolent brothers and sisters assisting and making this as smooth as possible...there will be quite a few that will suffer (my prayers go out to them) but I think we will make the final curtain... your thoughts Smat? *takes a sip of this fine red wine...sits back in his comfy high back chair and surveys the others smiling* cheers Hiram...

Can a rising tide raise all ships?

We have to be about re-normallising ourselves as individuals in the 'company' of all the others.

That's been plodding along quite well but recently I think we've had a lurch into charismatic leadership stuff and it's not going to do us any favours if it shakes out certrain types and concentrates others.

This thing's bigger than all of us.

I like to learn from and observe the self initiating types but I know deep down in my heart that all that self initiation stuff is lost without the rest of us to also learn from.

I'm falling into my own traps without the love of all of you. I think we all do it in our own different ways. The good thing about Avalon when it's at it's best, is that it's a good balance if perhaps a little to sterile when allowed to get too comfortable with it'self. It was too comfortable but we've had a recent period of the opposite and that's not good either, if it's going to drift into color of any kind when "white" seem to me to be the way to do it.

2 cents, errr.... maybe 5.

Hello all,
I lurked in the old forum a few months before I decided to join and I finally did because there was so much material and information that I enjoy, also quite a few times I wanted to contribute with something.

Before this one I was in the Law of Attraction (The Secret) forum which I enjoyed immensely until they decided to change everything and create groups. We were no longer ONE group, we were some 60 different groups so in order for you to read what your favorite people had to say you needed to go to many groups, it was tiresome and the forum lost it cozy feeling. I really hope we never don't do that.

This is the only forum I visit and for me is a great source of information and even though I read a lot and I have learned a lot, many many times I'm amazed at what others here say and share.

Some days I don't have enough time to catch up and I can read just one thread or a few posts but this forum is so valuable to me... I love it, I love the people here.

My only complain (if you can call it that) is that so many wonderful members have left it saddens me. When I go back to the old forum and I see those great threads and posts how I wish they would be here today, even when looking old threads here in A2, I see names I don't see anymore. It's painful for me.

I hope those old members are still visiting the forum, perhaps one day they decide to join again. Even though I don't have anything against new members and they are more than welcome, I miss these people:

Carol, Karen, trancoso, orthodoxymoron, mudra, gregorarturo, pineal-pilot-in-merkabah, the exchanger, brook, dantheman, carmen, jester terrestrial, kriya, antonia and many, many more. If some of them are still here, I apologize as I can't read all threads and posts.

I AM an old fart age wise. I am new to the forum as far as posting is concerned. I also have been an observer for quite a while.

I have followed Bill's as well as Kerry's work both on PA and PC for 3 or 4 years.

All of you all have given me pieces of the Big Picture, that I couldn't have obtained on my own. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Thanks Hiram for your thread.

Take care,

I would just like to add, while we are all visiting each other in this lounge I have created....that of course alot of the old guard have left. This doesn't surprise me. I wish it were not so, but nevertheless, it is each and every persons prerogative how they will spend their time.

As for me, its exciting for an old-hand to see all the new up-and-comers and their fresh ideas. Once they settle down I expect great things out of them. I expect they will create legacies of their own.

I am looking forward to what may be.....and am excited for the prospects.

*Witchy walks in and settles bum onto the couch with sherry in hand, adjusts the volume down* Ah I can hear in here. Well what a fine thread you have going. I sense a reunion. If you will kindly allow me to pontificate for a bit.

I got here on a springboard, I had not been lurking around for ever watching like many others who protest then same and then suddently came in with the wave. I got here, liked what I saw, fretted over getting accepted and then was away laughing. This was my kind of place. What was so good about it? Hmmmm

I was welcomed from the heart - Not a meaningless cursory glance. You were interested in me.
I was watched - As a parent would watch their child. I could feel the checking to see how I was fitting in, looking to see what I was interested it, what value could I bring, could anyone learn from me, how I reacted and how I articulated. Am I ok, does she need help. I understood the reasons and supported that paradigm (no-one will admit that it happens, but it does - I do it myself now) Its a caring feeling, not a big brother one
I learnt to be thoughtful (mostly) a few dumb threads and comments - which it was pointed out - how embarrasing
I learnt to be responsible - look at the older posts and add there. Dont start a new thread - its been done. Search for yourself it wont be handed to you on a plate. Empower yourself, then you can have a reasoned discussion
I recoiled in shock if anyone (albiet nicely) disagreed with me - how humilating amongst these fine people.
I was made to be thoughtful when asked to cite reference and links - of course I must validate my opinion and let others understand how I came to the opinion. That is how we learn and others learn from you
I was made to feel loved and cared for - when people post nice things about your posts and pm a thank you.- Praise and caring - oh so important
I was made to feel humble - I thought I knew a vast amount, but I dont. Thank you for kindly pointing that out
I felt humility - I was just a beginner
I was made to realize the the journey is long and fraught with difficulty - but I had assistance here if I needed it.
I have travelled a road thus far with friends and people who love me. The journey is easier that way.

I was accepted for just being me - I AM that was the important thing.

Thank you Avalon

Ha Hiram,

The Avalon forum is the only forum I have subscribed to because of the transformative information brought by real and therefore interesting people.
I have been reading, listening, watching, searching and digesting since the beginning of Camelot and Avalon.
It completely changed my outlook on life, myself and the world around me and visiting these sites (among others) is part of my daily activities.
The avalanche of newcomers with the Charles' material surprised me, it stopped me in my tracks for a while but find it heart warming to read from all these awakening people. I must admit though that I miss Kerry's intuitive questioning when they did their interviews together, I love her feminine probing for the truth.
I do not post much since most of the news is already present, either on this forum or on other web sites but know that I am present and love you all for what you contribute to mine and other people's lives.

I suppose I am an old timer in Avalon terms.

I have been here since nearly the start of Project Camelot/Project Avalon forum (as the user Anchor). All phases - Free at first - subscription - free again - split and now this one. I even carried the administrators torch for a while, and that was hard work so I know what the current lot are facing.

I was drawn at first to the idea of Ground Crews, but also the link with David Wilcock.

Personally I don't give a stuff about UFO's and Aliens - aliens are people too, deal with it! I'm not much into the NWO whodunnit game either, we know things are bad, lets not dwell on it. We know we are here to make things better.

I am mostly interested in spiritual, mental and physical preparations for the difficult times many of us here are about to face.

What keeps me going is some of the PM's and other feedback I get.

A lot of my friends have left Avalon who I keep in touch with on a couple of other forums. They have their own views of what goes on here. They shake my head at me for still being here, but I explain to them why present information to a community that already knows it? One needs people of all levels of the wisdom spectrum to both teach and learn from. That is why I spend most of my time here.

Avalon has maintained a fantastic spectrum of thought and quality that allows this process of teach/learn and learn/teach to proceed very efficiently.

I am not so happy about the recent disruptions to the forum, but I am aware that diamonds are forged under great pressure and there seems to be resolution to the current disruption in progress. I am quite patient. Time flies these days.

I salute Avalon's heart.

I am grateful for the continued opportunity to be among it and part of it.

John..

For fun... ignore this if you want...

The big boat is at night resting near shore. It is full of newly shining lights, and strains at the anchor, put down near a safe cove. The heavy sisal rope creaks in the stronger gusts. A little crab sits happily exploring the anchor and listens to its moment.

Perhaps the boat wanted to move on to different waters? There were now many old captains of that boat adjusting to a new way, together, some heated talk, no chain of command, no hierarchy, but a team. Some captains gave commands the anchor didn’t like and he dug in hard – he was an old captain too on this boat! – But is he doing the right thing? Some of the old captains and young captains say he is some say he isn’t. What to do? Stay or go? Is it right to stop it moving – what is the proper way to go? Is it nice where we are going to go?

The anchor liked the sea where he was, he liked the boat, he loved the warm energies that had recently played in the sea and above and it had made some lights on the boat shine especially brightly. The anchor sees a storm is coming, and he really knows it is time for all to go to new waters; perhaps he has held the boat for too long – is it too late? No, it is time to go! It is time to let the boat run freely – even in stormier waters.

The anchor rises up fast into the night, pulled in safely at the side of the big boat, to be along with those beautiful shining lights – how bright they are from here, not ephemeral wisps and sparkles remembered from under the darker water. How much like the stars they all are from down there. The great hemp sails flutter and catch a puff, the moon smiles its gibbous blessing.

The big boat, together with its many bright beacons are free to ride the waves into the dark, to shine light, to go where nature’s breath takes them.

The little crab, which had jumped off as the anchor had started to rise up, happily scuttles away into the sand again.

I'll start us off on the right foot...since it's my lounge:

Ole-Timers, What is it that you think makes Avalon different from other forums on the web??
(sub-question: How do we keep that going?)

originally, for me, this place was different from the others bcos it was somewhere that people could come together and share information....a place to learn and exchange ideas and thoughts on interviews and information pertaining to these interviews...and everything inbetween too...
i suppose it was a place where one would feel comfortable and open enough to disclose and share whatever they had without worrying at all...in an arena where the type of talk did not have boundaries...

there are no boundaries...ever...

i personally dont believe anyone can keep that vibe and energy going....and especially on a forum like this.....simply bcos things sure enough change...

the flow and breath of life is inevitable and one should consider flowing with and not against...it makes for a more thrilling ride...

the forum has changed considerably from the original a few yrs ago...it has changed a shed-load since last month and indeed last week...

smile an enjoy everything you can...you are in control of everything...believe it or not...

listen and absorb everything...especially those bits inbetween the lines...

believe everything if you want, or nothing if you prefer...

but most of all....follow your heart...if it doesnt feel right or ring true within you..then just leave it....it may well not be your truth....
and equally if whatever you read or hear really flicks your switch then run with it as far as you want to....but please note...not everbody may agree with you...which in itself is totally cool...

you are more amazing than you can comprehend

be you

Thanks Mike, excellent stuff as usual. I am in awe of how grounded and worldly your words often are and how they carry compassion and humbleness.

Peace

I too miss those unique footprints that trod so softly and often with laughter and good spirit in the early days and of coure the high mischief of Jester and Transcoso...That group alone is a mega-resource of knowledge and understanding right there. I was thinking the other day about Mudra and perhaps that Greybeard now carries that particular torch and signature.

I fully expect some of the new posters to step upto the plate and in time their persona's will become established as Hiram has alluded to. I want to see them at the vanguard of bringing new information to the board with a clear mind and due dilligence. I have already spied perhaps a couple of fledgling stars...hee hee..;)

Personally speaking there is no old Avalon or new Avalon or old posters and new posters, we are all one.

Peace

Lord Batticus.

Are we now accelerating our own evolution here??? Can a rising tide raise all ships?

Avalon is at its core a shining example of what a community can be. The sudden influx of new members to the community has somewhat obscured her radiant heart, but it's still easy enough to see and feel for anyone who cares to seek it. Those who do will stay and add their voices in harmony. Those who don't will sooner or later find a place and a path more in tune with their own vibration.

After discovering Camelot, then discovering the Avalon forum I was amazed that there was a place to discuss all of life's hardest questions. I was drawn there like a moth to a flame, a place were we could discuss things objectively trying to discover the real truths of the universe.
It was a wonderful place and I was gutted to see it split apart the way it did.
Its not the same here, its different.
Avalon has grown and is growing and will always grow.
One mans gem is another mans stone,
Avalon is a constant changing river,
sometimes merrily meandering at
other times gushing as a stormy current,
it has helped me discover questions within myself that I would have never discovered on my own,
Whether watching from the river bank or paddling in the pools
it is a wonderful place, so thank you Avalon and thank you all for you are who make it what it is.

G'day,

just thought i'd drop in and say hi, maybe grab a nice rock recliner and put my feet up and just listen for a while, I like a bit of piece and quiet:cool:

I actually tried to join the old Avalon way back but I never got an email tellin me I was excepted so I just floated around watching from the side lines.

I must admit though it did hurt a little, I thought I maybe just didn't make the grade and didn't have the confidence to push the issue at the time.

So I thought I'd give it another go but the explosion of the C sh#t was happening at the same time:( and yet again I didn't get an invite email.?

But something after about a 8-10 day wait made me look into it again and I sent an email off to Avalon. when I got an email from Beth I was excited, but the gods were not helpful at the time and I wasn't sure whether I had pushed a wrong button or somit.

So a few days later I sent another one and Beth came through for me again and helped me out(thanks again Beth;).

I'm so glad everything worked this time, and here I am. I'm not very good on the keyboard yet and don't know how to put links or videos in but I'll keep learning.

Well I'm a newbe but I do feel like an old fart (LOL) this car I'm driving this trip(read body) has a bent and out of balance tailshaft, the ball joints are worn, couple of dents in the panels, the interior prolly needs a spruce up, one tire is a bit flat, the air filter needs replacing, the injection system is a bit sluggish(specially in winter) and there's a lot of shrubbery around the radiator.

But there is really nice people here and it makes me feel comfy, although I do get cranky at the whipper snappers occasionally.

So thanks for the invite into the lounge guys and girls, I don't drink alcohol but I will just lay back and puff on my pipe while I watch the world go by for a while.

I say what we have here is very special. It's one of those little treasures in life.

A jewel that will only grow shinier with polishing.

I have no fears because I know what I stand for...as well as the rest of you. And to ye of little faith, I say, watch what happens when two or more are gathered in common purpose.

Mods ... can you add a "started lurking date" to our profile??? :)

Hmmm ... seems like a change in attitude is necessary to communicate with these ol' sea dogs.

Perhaps this 2nd hand Universal Language Translator that I picked up at the local Star Trek Convention might help.

Let's see ... adjusting knob ... hmmm ... okay yes this might help ... the "newbie to Ol' Timer Speak" might be the ticket.

:baby: :bump2: :bolt: :bump2:

Ah yes ... here I am still ... fly on the wall in Hiram's Smoking Room.

Such a comfortable and safe place. Why would one want to leave???

Looking down I see the round table of Avalon with a lit candle in the middle.

Those doubting my ability to see:

(Naval Air Warfare Center in China Lake California knows about these things you know).

http://www.physorg.com/news129545593.html

Yet as clearly as I see ... I cannot quite make out what they are saying.

Sitting here lurking for so long perhaps my wings could use a bit of excercise.

Bzzzzzzzzzz ... WHOAH ... What is that SMELL???

Celine's flower arrangement ... GOT to tell my bee brethren about this!!!

Of course, being a fly, I migrate to "other" smells.

Swami ... you ol' fart ... you are smellin' MARVELOUS :)

Must get closer ... OUCH ... OWIE ... flew right over the damn candle.

Gotta be that Mercury Combust thingie Carmody was warning us about.

*note to self* - pay close attention to Carmody's astro posts else butt gets burnt.

Oooh ... that's another interesting smell ... Hiram's Cognac.

I want a taste ... yet as I get closer ... Greybeard's soft but ageless words become more clear. Guess I better pass on that one.

One would think with all these eyes I could clearly *** see the thinker *** ... gotta get back to his greyness on that one.

But where to go? I land on Hiram's knee but get SLAPPED away.

Whew ... that was a close one!

Hope no Super Soldier is equipped with a pyschic fly swatter!

Guess I have to land in the middle of the table with the glaring spotlight for all to see.

Yes ... time to FINALLY register to become a member of Avalon.

Okay ... obviously poking fun ... but lastly with deepest sincerity ... I simply cannot say it better than this:

You don't know me, but I know of your wisdom, and I know I learn so much from yours in my quest to figure out and better understand this world.

You don't know me, but it's posters like yourself, and greybeard, and sjkted, and Ahkenaten and Tuza that's my reason for joining this forum.

Greetings Hiram, thanks for the thread...
The difference... Avalon project brings together those around the world who want to share their feelings, their concerns etc, without the rhetoric, politics. So far, it's been a delightful experience...we can only hope it stays this way...we have a lot of new faces here, and we'll have to see if it remains a hub of love and sharing...
Today we should be talking about $120 oil and climbing, and what the trickle down effect will be over the next few weeks...as prices for everything doubles....the rich (OPEC) want more...and there's no one willing to stop them. Maybe we should be thinking and talking about this...and not worried so much about what could happen, maybe...down the road.
end of line.

Yes been around for a long time left and returned . I have my reasons for doing so which i`ll keep to Myself and Like Anchor I am in touch with many original Members as well on several other forums . Jester I talk to on Skype at least twice a week this place is discussed at a minimum on some forums and not looked at favorably I might add. Things happen this forum seems drawn to drama the way some others used to be . Just look at what happened with Burisch . Greer Charles stuff its never ending even the fall out between Bill and Kerry . They have returned to working together but they are also traveling different roads at the same time.

Avalon has changed direction from what it used to be . It used to be a place where info was shared debate was done and allowed . Personal attacks were very seldom displayed . And although I have been accused by several former and newer members of being everything from MK Ultra to a spreader of negativity , I am above all a relayer of information what you do with it is up to you how you view it is your choice , But if you ignore it and something bad happens thru inaction then who is to blame . I laugh when people mention things like 'that is not part of my reality' and you can`t blame me because till the new reality kicks in your still in this one and subject to all the things it has in it

Deep Gratiude for this thread Hiram~

As you know, I have been debating whether or not to stay on here, due to the recent upheavals, but decided to wait it out and see, hoping for the best. I have wanted to speak my peace these last couple of months, but was unsure how it would be welcomed~ so I withdrew... Unfortunately, many wise and wonderful souls felt the need to flee, but I am glad that I waited...

For those of you who may not know me, I've been here since AV1, and do my best to spread what light I have elsewhere as well, because I love to know, meet, learn and exchange with awakened and awakening beings wherever I find them ~

Yesterday, Ross' thread caught my eye, and I felt compelled to put into words what has been in my heart these last few weeks and months:
http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?14386-Forum-direction-and-behaviour.&p=154225#post154225

Finding your wonderful, welcoming and healing thread on the heals of diving into the waters once again, Hiram, let me know that there are safe places still here in Avalon, that the healing has indeed begun, and that, yes my friend, the rising tide lifts all ships :)

So, if I may, I shall pull up a comfy chair and pour a libation in the Ships' Lounge, and be honored to remain and delight amongst all the wonderful voyagers on this journey... newcomers and seasoned sailors alike ! :)

(Hiram reloads his pipe with the finest aromatic...and lays flame to the leaves.)

How can we not ascend to the stars with such fine men and women of quality?

Tell me: If there is another place such as this...name it and be done with it! (Hiram slams his fist on the large Brazilian wormwood desk defiantly)

I say what we have here is very special. It's one of those little treasures in life.

A jewel that will only grow shinier with polishing.

I have no fears because I know what I stand for...as well as the rest of you. And to ye of little faith, I say, watch what happens when two or more are gathered in common purpose.

Welcome one and all.

Reading through the thread I remember when Bill said to us that membership in the new Avalon would be by invitation only, when the new forum was up quite a few were already there but many weren't including me, then little by little people were saying: hey! I got mi invitation too! ha, we were happy and proud to get the message: you are invited, at least I was.

I found Camelot by accident. It changed my life, attitude and direction. It helped me correct my course and sail uncharted waters. It validated what I knew in my heart to be true. Hiram summed it up best, this is why I stay.

[QUOTE=Hiram;153376]So what I'm hearing from you ladies and gentleman thus far is....

Can a rising tide raise all ships?[/QUOTE

To sum it up for me;
Avalon is A Bridge Over Troubled Waters

Bugger,

I just thought I'd go for a walk across the hallway to stretch my legs and got lost in Avalons main lounge.

once you get back in that maze it is almost impossible to find your way back to the hall again, threads can be like lloooonnnggg tunnels of never ending info.

I floundered, I fought, I climbed, I sat down and pondered, I spun around on the spot, I turned right, I turned left,I giggled, I frowned, I itched, I posted, I was confused, I was enlightened, I was cranky, I laughed.

And then I was booted of the internet for over 5 hours(WTF) no matter what I did I could not get back on "BUGGER" alsorts of thoughts were going through my head, maybe the sun is doing a thingy on us, maybe Virginbroadband has techy problems, maybe the machine is pissed of with me(LOL), maybe the helicopter flying overhead yesterday for ages have locked onto my signal and dicided to play funny buggers with my wireless internet connection.

I had logged onto Avalon and could not get back in to log off again, were they alfabet soup doing a number on me, is my higherself trying to tell me somthing, like stay away for a while because the cray is doing a sweep of our favorite home.

I tell ya it was hard, but I calmed myself down and did some reading after watching the telly for a while ( AAhhhh I hate adds) so 3.45 am I'm tired and think I'll just try one more time to get back on, well you beauty it worked, so I logged off and went to bed.

I logged on today with no probs and started to get lost in the maze again pretty quickly, I thought what if I turn this way and have a look in this door !

AAHHA! I found the old fuddy duddies lounge again, Wheeew! instant piece and quiet again, how bloody wonderful and I find myself a comfy wingback and plonk my tired weary ass down to put my feet up and sip my coffee and roll one up, aaaaaaahhhhhhh................. nice one peeps.

They have returned to working together but they are also traveling different roads at the same time.
come
Avalon has changed direction from what it used to be .

Aye NB, you always bring valid points......however i'd like to point out that here we are, still posting and still on PA for a reason. Flavors of the month (or two months in some instances ;) ) come and go, but for he most part, PA is less icing and more cake. There's real substance here and we are drawn to it for that very reason. The storm is blowing over and i can see clear skies on the horizon!

Have the loudest new members vanished and gone to the chalesproject(DOT)something?

It seems that 2 weeks ago this forum was buzzing with faces that I'm not seeing at the top of the charts any more.

I feel a bit like a staffer at a resort where occasional "events" are catered for. The car park was full and all the verges too. The trash was ankle deep and all the kitchen staff missed their days off.....

I think I'll just pop over there to that statuette and put it back up straight, someone must have knocked it in the crowd.

Oh! hello, what's this....... ahhh!....a 20 pound note.......on the floor, all scuffed and dirty.

some have been here years...and feels like they have only been here a few weeks..

We are all infinite beings. Talking about the join date of someone is merely gossip. Maybe someone read all the stuff for a very long time but only recently decided to register, maybe someone who registered a year ago does nothing but watching tv all day. That's how moot this point is.

Hello Beautiful People

I guess I am an old timer too, lol
Like many, I found Bill and Kerry way back at Camelot's inception (2006 I think)
It was at the height of my awakening and I've have been watching ever since.

I was also on the original Avalon forum when it started, then off while it was
a paid subscription, and back again when it was free... and here since then.
I can't tell you how much I have learned (remembered) from this forum!!!
And beyond all the wisdom is the most important reason I ever log on... YOU!

I love you guys so much.... what an incredible experience this is... a global village
of beautiful and wise souls sharing, caring, ranting, raving and loving

I come here for YOU...to hear your thoughts, ideas, findings and musings...
I have met some of the most incredible people from all over this blue ball and I
wouldn't trade that for anything!

Yes, it can get a bit crazy at times with our differences... but I for one, love the diversity!
Where else can you find such a colorful bunch under on roof?
My goodness, I've seen dragons and smurfs... super soldiers and machines...
immortals and aliens... angels and demons and everything in between!

:flypig:

I may not always agree with everyone, but I find the diversity refreshing AND
priceless... After all, the game of duality is all about contrasts and differences...
so I choose to celebrate it instead of judging it.

It's been sad to see some members leave us, but I understand everyone has their
own path... and I hope that someday they will return (hint hint)
It's also been wonderful to see so many new shining faces.

Avalon is evolving and with that comes growing pains...
but the beauty of like-minded spirits gathering, searching and sharing will always remain.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say
Thanks to EACH OF YOU for making this community what it is.

With Love!

Hermes, the thrice greatest, you name it. As far as I'm informed "chiquetet" was not his name but a title meaning "seeker of wisdom". That's really off-topic though.

Another cool thing about this forum is that Bill has been more present and he definitely participates in discussions and communicate with members which was not the case on the first Avalon, I used to think that Bill and Kerry never read what all of us had to say.

I like all these youngsters here. Make 'em do all the heavy lifting, I say! AHAHAHAHA- (cough! cough! cough! gasp! hard swallow..)

..where are my pills?

My parents raised me to respect my elders, so I have no problem doing the heavy lifting for you. Can you do me one favor though? When the pretty girls come by, exaggerate the weights you had me lift.

"That 'ol southern boy lifted it clear over his head! He sure is handy, I hear he plays a mean guitar as well."

Ya know, something like that, just don't pull a Bob Dean.

Ruby L.
7th March 2011, 03:18
Okaaay Strat, your post just cracked me up! (in a most admiring way, of course.)

In a round about way, it reminded me of the translation from Malagasy (Madagascar) to English for the word 'Scotch Bonnet', a chilli pepper that is known to be exceptionally hot:

"This chilli is so hot even five strong men can't handle it."

Strat Bonnet is how I'm going to think of you from now on.

Hi, all. *waves* Great place you've got , here!

Strat

You know what's funny about that? Just yesterday (the time when you posted that reply) I planted 4 jalepeno and 3 habanero plants. I think I'll name one of the habaneros Ruby.

Ruby L.
8th March 2011, 02:11
Wow, that IS quite an uncanny coincidence, Strat B!

I'm also flattered beyond words to be the namesake of your Habanero plant. *fans herself*
I think you'd better lift over one of those chairs for me; my knees have suddenly gone weak.

Folks, this young man is not only strong-- he's polite, perceptive, humorous, and exceptionally charming. Mr. Dean would be very proud.

Oh, he also plays a mean guitar.
