View Full Version : Prediction Of Oil Price 'Double Doom'

The One
24th February 2011, 12:20
The world economy could be in for a massive shock as oil prices continue to rise. Oil strategist at Nomura, Michael Lo, estimates that oil prices could top $220-a-barrel - almost double today's figure of $117 - if both Libya and Algeria halt production as a result of political unrest.

Yup and the biggest untapped oil reserve in the world has yet to produce a single drop . There is no peak oil just causing a form of chaos to get you to give up your cars and trucks and accept the need to use a form of public transportation where you will be checked prior to boarding . Its all by design

Just watched a Youtube video: Richard Heinberg: Peak Oil and the Globe's Limitations:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeRTCepmkqQ

Although the information Richard Heinberg presented may not be 100%v accurate, but there are several important points he mentioned in the video ring true to me and are very educational. Here I quoted 2 of them:

The problem is not actually running out of oil. There are still lots of oil in the ground in various forms. The problem is we've gone after oil as with all other natural resources on planet earth, ON THE BASIS OF LOW HANGING FOOD PRINCIPLE RESOURCE EXTRACTION, WE GO AFTER THE CHEAPEST, EASIEST TO GET, HIGHEST QUALITY RESOURCES, which mean we are leaving the nastiest, dirtiest stuff, most expensive, hardest to get out stuff for later.
Essentially the problem is we have got too many people using too much stuff too fast in an economy only knows how to grow.

Richard J. Maybury, U.S. World Early Warning Report, predicts $300 a barrel oil and $9 a gallon gasoline in the USA. Soon. Gulp.

They are just going keep raising the price till they take all the money the middle class and lower class have left which isn't much.
i found this just the other day

U.S. recovery only for the rich
The American economy is looking up. But the latest numbers show ever more clearly why,
for those on the lower rungs, things haven't improved. Conditions are now changing, though.
Clearly, the economic situation in the U.S. is improving. Corporate profits are at record highs.
New jobs are slowly being created and the unemployment rate is falling. Consumer spending is up.
Stocks have nearly doubled in the last two years. We're a long way from the dark days of 2008-2009.

Yet the gains have not been equally distributed. Where you sit in the sociol economic strata largely
determines how you view the U.S. economy and how much you've benefited from the recovery so far.
If you are well-educated and relatively well-to-do, and you have a sizable portfolio of financial assets,
chances are you're feeling pretty good right now. You're probably working. You've enjoyed the stock
market's doubling from its bear-market low. And you've probably even managed to convince your boss to give you a raise.

If you are less fortunate, with fewer assets and no college degree, and you are more reliant on that
day-to-day payday, things have hardly improved at all. And now, with the costs of fuel and food on the rise,
things have taken a turn for the worse.

By all indications, this is a recovery only for the rich.

This is all hurting my family so much. We used to be elitist rich. Now we're only Uber-rich. What's next, dear God, simply rich? I have this nightmare that my children will suffer the terrible fate of living in the upper middle class and have to work along side the 'useless eaters'.

If this comes to pass, it will cause a second, larger housing collapse as well as the impending commercial real estate collapse, followed closely by a full on economic collapse. Because it is obvious that this would be done on purpose, then it must be surmised that the reason for such an action would be to deliberately collapse America. I know a very well off real estate broker who doesn't see this coming. Of all people, this guy should see it.

Maybe a full and complete American collapse is what we need to finally start building a better future for everyone.

As soon as peoples comfort zones are smaller than their egos and their bank balances, then we will see some action.
The thing is, there will be many who are not of a higher level consciousness who will be roaming around causing all type of trouble.
Keep yourselves safe when it happens.

Quite correct, there will be those who will not react well and will be in full blown panic mode. I may be a peace loving man, but I do own a 12ga, just in case.:)

Be careful what you wish for... if there is a planed collapse then there is a planed rebuild as well.

Good point. They can't plan for everything though. I was told some time back that "Those who think they are in control will find out they are not in control". I firmly believe this statement. The game simply cannot be controlled by them any longer, something WE are about to find out as they are already aware of this inconvenient truth.
