According to the author, it is history repeating itself. Apparently the masters of the world do not have enough imagination to do things differently this time. Or maybe they have tried other things and they do not work.

There are obvious and maybe not so obvious conclusions to how to survive the economic upheavel coming our way. We can try to jump ahead with the economic elitists to the new globally stable currency, which will most likely be the SDRs that they have been pushing (my guess is not gold ... which will probably lose value to the SDRs after the dollar collapses).... or
We can ride it out through the formation of tighter more self-sufficient communities (which under the right leadership could be as large as a state) that need little from the federal governemnt.
Or we could find the pullers of global economic strings, and form a real revolution.
I worry that the Avalon community as beautiful as it is may not be prepared and will be harmed.
There seem to be so many layers of things going on. The world was so much more simple when my nose was firmly affixed to the grindstone. (and that is what TBTB depend on)
