I took the time to look at the sun setting earlier on. Where I live we don't see it that often its usually overcast, but isn't that the case... we only seem to appreciate things that we don't see often, when in fact there are always things in our daily lives that we should appreciate but don't because we see them everyday.

Today I had a Dr's appointment about an hour away from where I live, but it's near the ocean. After the appt, I got a cup of coffee and a donut and sat and watched the water. (It was gray and a really lovely
rainstorm)

When I was raising my kids, the noise, confusion, taking to and fro, struggle for survival, life rushed by to fast to have an opportunity to enjoy it.

This last Autumn I moved to a beautiful place in the forest and it can be seen clearly in all it's aspects from my windows. I got to watch every leaf turn and drop to the ground and I can't express what a wonderful delight it has been. Inside, my cat had three kittens and they grew up fast but we all watched the leaves fall and and then the snow when Winter came. I watched them grow from tiny little things who learned to stretch and grow and jump off chests and beds.

It took forever to get here but you'd be surprised when you get out of the rat race ~ the beauty we often miss ~ the grandeur of our surroundings ~ and the love we all share as we experience this life together. I am so grateful for the luxury of time to enjoy that which I thought had passed me by. You can live in this heaven, too. xoxoxox
