On a remote Plateau, in Central Peru, hundreds of enigmatic figures and faces have been found in the living rock. Figures that should not be there at all. An Egyptian Pharaoh with headdress and beard looks almost identical to the death mask of King Tut. A gigantic face called "The African Queen" looks similar to The Great Sphinx of Egypt. The delicate Features of an Egyptian Maiden decorate the canyon walls. All of these features can be seen in a mysterious Peruvian plateau known as Markawasi. Were these figures carved by a lost race? Was there contact between Egypt and Peru in ancient times? Were these and more than 200 other bizarre images like them carved by intelligent beings, or created by the whim of nature alone?
Meet Daniel Ruzo, the world-famous explorer who first discovered Markawasi in 1952. Hear his theory about the lost Masma Culture who created the monuments before a great flood wiped out humanity. Meet Peter E. Schneider, a modern researcher who is determined to champion the work of Ruzo and discover the secret of Markawasi. Meet Geologist - Dr. Robert Schoch, who helped re-write history by re-dating The Sphinx thousands of years older than previously thought. Schoch explores Markawasi and gives some surprising explanation for these enigmatic stone monuments.

i'm sure it's from an old civilization the question would be is it from ours ? i'm sure the earth gets wiped out at times when the creators dont like what we have envolved into they erease us and start over like charles stated 'weed out the weak' has happened many time i just hope we can prove to them that we should be spared but im sure TPTB will ruin are chance's and then like in the planet of the ape's movie there will the statue of liberty popping out of the ground and new humans going WTF .

There is so much to see in Peru. I'm willing to be that one of the ancient temples of the brotherhood of light is there.

I am also marking this for when I get the time to see it. And Planet of the Apes is one of the few films that raised the hair on the back of my neck--especially when the statue of liberty popped up. The second one was the worshipping of the bomb and taking off their constructed faces to "unto thee I reveal my inner most self." That always replays in my mind when I see Rumsfield or Cheney speak.

Thanks, Swami!
I got caught up in the video and watched the whole thing. It was fantastic! I wish I had known about Markawasi in my travels to Peru between the early 70's up to 1990 which was my last trip. I also knew little about Ayahuasca or I probably would have tried it.
Peru was magical and somewhat dangerous for me, but for many years I attracted danger on a consistent basis. My first trip to Peru started out somewhat spectacularly. It was 1972. I checked into an older hotel in downtown Lima and took a nap to recuperate from the long flight. About an hour into my nap things started shaking and I woke up abruptly. When the window broke I realized it was an earthquake, grabbed my purse with ID and money and ran down 6 flights of stairs to the street that looked more like an ocean. Running was like surfing the waves as the streets undulated. A man who was running near me and I grabbed each other and ran together down the street to the nearest park.
To make a long story short we "fell in love" sort of instantaneously, maybe the shared danger effect! LOL... He was visiting from Ecuador and took me to visit the recently ousted dictator of Ecuador who was in Lima at the time. I was present at a meeting they had to plan a coup to get him back into power, but apparently it wasn't successful as Velasco was never able to regain his on again off again dictatorship of Ecuador. He was quite old at this time although he lived many more years in exile in Argentina. Later I found out the earthquake was around 8-8.2. It was a BIG one!
In later trips I traveled to many out of the way villages, spent time in Cuzco and visited many ruins and magical places. I was also kidnapped some time in the mid 70's and held at the house of a very wealthy man in Cuzco. I managed to escape after a few days and made my way back to Lima. Peruvian men can be quite determined to get what they want.
My trip in 1990 was with 3 friends, the first time I had not traveled alone. These were all very spiritually aware people and we had some fantastic time/dimensional shift experiences at several of the places we visited. One of the most intense experiences I had was laying on a large stone, maybe a sacrificial altar, at Machu Picchu. We also visited a place a few miles above Cuzco, Saqsaywaman, with huge stones, but the really bizarre stuff happened when we entered an underground tunnel which led into a chamber where we sat together and fell through a time warp (or whatever it was!). LOL
I wasn't into taking photos on my many trips to fantastic places but we did take some photos in 1990. Here are a couple of me at Machu Piccu and one with 2 of my friends in front of the stones at Saqsaywaman:
