View Full Version : FEMA RFT for 420 million meals - stock piling

This time is dehydrated food - A RFP for 14million people for 10 days - thats 420 million meals
What is so urgent that FEMA is spending a billion dollars on survival food?
The tender request was only up for a few days and then dissappeared - Could it be that some high level official suddenly realized he was letting the cat out of the bag? That people aren't stupid, and would recognize the implications of 420 million emergency meals? Has the government removed the RFP from the public process and approached potential suppliers privately instead? We may never know.
One of the nation's largest suppliers of dehydrated food has cut loose 99% of their dealers and distributors. And it's not because of the poor economy. It's because this particular industry leader can no longer supply their regular distribution channels. Why not? Because they're using every bit of manufacturing capacity they have to fulfill massive new government contracts. Look, the government has always been a customer of the industry to some extent. But according to our sources, this latest development doesn't represent simply a change of vendor on the government's part. It's a whole new magnitude of business
The Typically, FEMA maintains a stockpile of about 6 million meals. Why the sudden need to increase the stockpile by 420 million more? (And that's in addition to whatever our aforementioned industry leader is supplying.) It almost seems like they're trying to stock a modern day "Noah's Ark," doesn't it?

That'd be my guess Swami - along with all the blankets and whatever else was on the previous list. Must be very cozy down there now.
Wonder if they've got the telly's and X-boxes yet to keep the kids amused.

And as far as TVs and game systems go they prob got the most up to date techno advanced ones to use (if they exist and imo they probably do) which we will never see

if FEMA is stockpiling, anything at all, there is definitely something in the air. there is much speculation as too what it actually is, but it cannot be good. the "duncan o'finioan thread is discussing this issue on a different platform right now. it seems that duncan's blog has made a direct statement as to "something coming from the sky that defies explanation", (i think that's how it's worded). thanks Witchy1 for the fema info. it is a necessary piece too this puzzle.
warmest regards, corson

Is there anything you know of in Australia going on like this ?
We don't have Fema, but what do they call our equivalent?
Is there a time limit for the order to be processed?

Thanks King Anthony - I think they are both Christmas Island? Nick I dont know if there are any on the main land. Is there a time limit - not sure, the add has been taken off. All we know according to the links is that the manufacturers cannot keep up with the demand from the Government
I wonder if its the Madrid fault line they are about to hit with an earthquake???? Wasnt that projected for May???
There is another thread about the blankets etc that they have stock piled, I'll go check and bring back the stats of what has been put out for tender.
tgn333 - How did I find out about it.......... you would not beleive the stuff I read and the rabbit holes I end up going down.(link after link after link) Its a matter of connecting the dots, and being alert. If I find anything that is connectable, there will usually be others here who can assist either by debunking or adding value. If we can sound a warning light to make sure our brothers and sisters are prepared for any eventuality - thats what its all about. We will never know for sure what they are planning - except to know that they are planning something, there are just too many lights going off at the moment.
I hope that this emergency prepardness requirement is totally wrong, but I honestly dont think so.
ADDIT: Our post went up at the same time Alk. I fully agree.

I will add relevant posts as relates to this.
This is the FEMA camp locations
http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?10273-FEMA-camp-locations
Thanks Irish, just finished reading the same thing myself over there. They are also on the look out for blankets with the following specs:
FEMA RFI (https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=dbbf396ad98876328a0ba1485a842af1&tab=core&tabmode=list&=)
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) procures and stores blankets to support readiness capability for immediate distribution to disaster survivors routinely. The purpose of this Request for Information is to identify sources of supply for blankets in support of disaster relief efforts based on a catastrophic disaster event within the New Madrid Fault System for a survivor population of 7M to be utilized for the sustainment of life during a 10-day period of operations. FEMA is considering the following specifications (14M blankets per day):
- 100% cotton;
- White;
- 66″ x 90″
In June, a report from the University of Illinois warned that the possibility of a 7.7 magnitude or higher earthquake striking the New Madrid Zone was very high.
“If a quake that size did hit, the report estimates at least 3,500 people would be killed and more than 80,000 others hurt,” reported the Chicago Headlines Examiner. (http://www.examiner.com/headlines-in-chicago/earthquake-along-new-madrid-fault-would-devastate-central-u-s-read-u-of-i-report)
Other estimates from the report (http://mae.cee.illinois.edu/news/reportusa2.html) include:
715,000 buildings damaged
7 million people homeless
2.6 million households without power
$300 Billion economic impact
Maybe just disinformation and yet more promotion of fear????????????

EMA (Emergency Management Australia)
FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) is everywhere, adopted by many countries Under the US Model. Many other affiliates who fall under the same unbrella are:
CDEMGs (Civil Defence Emergency Management Groups)
LEMA (local emergency management agency)
DRO (Disaster Relief Operation)
NEO (Non-combatant evacuation operation )
EMIS (Emergency Management Information Systems)
IAEM (International Association of Emergency Managers)
Every country has these or near to, associated systems.

maybe they are buying up all the food to take it off the market and create a artificial food shortage
or they might be expecting visitors lol

The camps depicted in the above youtube media are actually Immigration detention centres-this is how Refugees are
'accommodated' when they arrive at Australia-a mixture of xenophobia and 'border-protection'-their claims can take
many months to process-they have to prove they were escaping persecution, or other extreme conditions before they are
granted residency. This is used by Australian politicians to win favor with the conservative electorate.

Well, a billion is a lotta money, so it might as well be just that? You know, stuff like kick-backs and such ... Great financial opportunity for everyone involved, state-financed projects with budgets to be spent within deadlines. Where I'm from this kind of a thing is called "tunneling".
Just my 2 cents :-)

Yes, FEMA's stockpiling of food has been posted already on PA and I agree that it has something to do with the New Madrid fault. FEMA are carrying out an earthquake exercise in May (date unspecified); see here:
(FEMA) National Level Exercise 2011 (NLE 2011) (http://www.fema.gov/media/fact_sheets/nle2011_fs.shtm)
NLE 2011 will simulate the catastrophic nature of a major earthquake in the central United States region of the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ). The year 2011 is the bicentennial anniversary of the 1811 New Madrid earthquake, for which the NMSZ is named. NLE 2011 will be the first NLE to simulate a natural hazard.
Bicentennial or not, this could be the big one.
