As a book related to spirituality I always have Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu near, it is a very mysterious book because the more one develops their understanding the more one finds the hidden meanings and truths within the texts. Texts which seem vague at first become clear and have many levels in their meaning.
The problem I have found with it though, is that it is similar to the Bible, in that there are many versions for the one verse and in some cases the meaning is misinterpreted. But no matter which version you read you tend to get the general message.
