I have been reading all the kinda AWKWARD posts, and felt a real deepening in my heart as I have tried to feel what each person was experiencing.
So I want to convey to each of you that are reading...
I like you.
I have your back as you express from your heart. I appreciate your unique facets - your unique lens, your unique expression.
I know you are doing your best with what you have.
I will seek to empower and expand you. I will open to experience the same from you if your heart signals you to share that type of energy to me.
I honor anger, defensiveness, and other seemingly awkward communications.
Anger can be a vehicle to blissful freedom, unity, love, etc. When someone has their straw in the juicebox of your soul, you MUST reclaim your essence by any means necessary - otherwise your expression will always be infected by the imbalanced energy exchange. I understand this.
But in the act of anger, remember what drew the person to you. Remember (or reconnect the dismembered aspects of self) what created the experience.
Vulnerability is another vehicle to blissful freedom. Authenticity. Admission. Valor. Many others.
May each of you know how to employ the various tools inside you to reclaim your own inner peace and collaborative creative expression.
I have your back. I appreciate you. Thank you for being here and expressing your wonderful perspectives with me.

Telling someone you like them is hard isn't it
Because, you have to pick the right place
to tell them those three words to their face
You have to tell them what you feel
hoping what they feel is also real
You have to tell them I like you
and hope they say back I like you too
You have to tell them cause it feels right
and it's time to say the speech you practiced all night
You really want them to know it
but you're too afraid to show it
So your waking up everyday
letting time just pass away
Not telling them is a bad thing to do
so quit being shy and just tell them what you believe is true
just tell them I like you
I love and like you all my Avalon friends

I saw this little note in your signature: "There is not a shred of evidence that life is serious"
It's true. We're often take life toooooo seriously. We forget to laugh. Love can be felt in laughing. Laughing expands our hearts.
Love connects us. If we laugh together, I'm sure we will like each other even more ;)
Thanks for the reminder!

After that, I banned rabbit suits in the Empire.

Yeah, feels good, don't it?
I have been thinking a long time about a model for society that would tether people together who are interested in well being. This forum is a perfect example of how we sometimes get caught up in semantics and forget to get each others' backs.
The tether would be something that all kinds of disparate folk could connect to.
It is something like this:
We seek well being first within ourselves and then for as many people as are open to it
We seek to embody this in our lifestyles, not just talk, but practice this.
We seek to cultivate the heart-centered expression of those around us. When we see someone acting from their creative, expansive, connective heart energy, we support it. We have your back.
We strive for variety and look for varied ways to express and experience well being
This is just off the top of my head. There is more... but imagine how many people are afraid to sing, dance, hug, smile, compliment, create, etc. because of how vicariously oriented they are... Once we make it COOL to be in heart space and demonstrate to the rest of society how amazing heart space is, it will snowball.
So much of evolution involves the tearing down of old illusions and walls. The conspiracies. I think it's great, but now I am over it. I want to find the cohesive glue that knits the structure back together.
What knits us all together now?
Money
Language
Laws
Fear
It is broken. The brokenness is demonstrated in the state of the world.
How many yoga groups, gardening clubs, buddhist meditators, dance troups, etc., etc., have actively aligned with the other in a wholistic way? They talk about unity through diversity, but who is actively ALIGNING with it?
It's like reading books on running but never running. It's a cosmic joke. We need to EMBODY unity somehow. Allow the awkward. Allow the anger, but see them as vehicles to the full expression of the individual that flowers into the resplendent jewel that is the community. A new community that is tethered not by money, fear, laws, etc., but tethered by seeking to cultivate the tender hearts of those around them.
My brother (ok, close dear friend) josh is an example of this expression - www.joshrawlings.com. He is all heart. He shares it. He embodies it. He cultivates it in everyone he meets. His music is powerful. It opens portals. It aligns crowds. The music community in Seattle is starving for this tether because we all love each other, but do not yet have a way of moving fully into this space.
I think creating a puzzle piece is a universal symbol that shows this alignment. Everyone could have a different color and shape, but the pieces would all be unique. They would be a cultural heiroglyph of sorts that would signal to each other that openheartedness is welcome and encouraged. Be your silly playful self. Dance. Yell GOOSFRABA! Talk about deep or fringe topics.
We have no way of knowing who the "jedi" around us are. We wear masks because the culture fundamentally keeps us from the "I think you are awesome" state of mind but instead we are left to be defensive of our tender hearts, so we act cool and talk about our struggles.
I would definitely love to find an investor or someone who could help me start architecting this with various social networks, phone apps (imagine a jedi detector), and meetings with various groups.
Imagine if everyone who ever read an eckhart tolle book, or attended a tony robbins or wayne dyer seminar knew about this tether. This new mindset.
Powerful. The mind reels.
I am a very seasoned software engineer, graphic designer, and web developer and I have several other pals who would work on this with me, but I need to feed my child and keep the lights on - hehe. Get in touch if you know anyone who would actively be able to help this new "web" come together.
I will keep you all looped in on developments.

What a fabulous idea TheWebkid, I work in the 'net, and if I owned the company I'd do it with you - without any financial clout I'm not sure what though...... but if there's anything I can do to help just ask.

Well there are definitely going to be uses for web developers, but I have the team I can assemble initially already. I will add you to my list of resources. Thanks!. Many of us who have worked in IT for years. Many of us who want this. We need a financial backer mostly. Then we need to align a jedi high council of many different people who are leaders in various ways and are influential teachers. Once the model is agreed upon and all are in alignment, we joyfully begin the tethering process. It will be ridiculously joyful for all of us.

You have an idea that appeals on so many levels old chum - it may be difficult to keep the (fast buck) wolves at bay, but really, it's phenominal. Seriously, you should get your plan together and present it to Duncan Bannatyne - Google him, you'll see why...

Howdy doody...
His website is http://www.bannatyne.co.uk/, and here you'll find his blog, with a 'contact me' page, http://www.duncanbannatyne.co.uk/contact. Apologies if you already know this(!), but I'd guess he gets plenty of contacts from people with ideas, so I'd be ready with a 'business-like' plan; examples of other success stories in apps, how it can stand up financially, how it will help others (which he's big into...), any projections you can present and back-up with facts.... that sort of stuff.
He does have a Twitter account, but I've just had a look and there's plenty of 'noise' there, so not sure if he'd respond... He also has a LinkedIn account too, but only having a standard account I can't access his page - if you know someone that pays for their LinkedIn membership, maybe you could ask them to take a peek?
Thinking on..... from what I've seen of Bill's profile (I've not been here long), and with his damned fine CV I wouldn't be suprised if he could offer some terrific advice, maybe has some great contacts from his past? C'mon Bill, I know you got plenty of time on your hands! Lol.
One thought I had last night.... maybe put something in place that helps stop nutcases using an app to meet people for the wrong reasons - perhaps a paid membership? Maybe participation in a website such Avalon or your own, for a set period, where they could be 'vetted' (ouch, just had our dog 'done', wrong mental picture!).
*Thinks* Hmm, small, affordable membership fee = revenue. Proof of demand (the lovely people here...) = good for business plan. Percentage to cover costs, the rest to help others = more attractive to entrepeneurs that like to put something back into the pot.
Last of all, you have the infectious enthusiasm and personality to do this TWK, whatever you do, don't change that ;)
Apologies to everyone if I've taken the thread off topic a wee bit, so, I think you're all quite beautiful, count your blessings, and have a wonderful day! There. Back OT again ;-)
Peace
Pickle
