There it is, the countdown. As of this writing there are 655 days until December 21, 2012. The internet is abuzz with many different views on what might happen. There are the ideas that its the end of the world and others that say nothing is going to happen. And then all the rest in bewteen. What is the significance of this date? It is when the Mayan calendar comes to an end. Just like our agrarian calendar comes to an end December 31 of each year. But is there something that is occurring?

Things do indeed seem like they have begun to speed up. In reading or watching the news, both MSM and alternate news source, you can find many advances in technology coming in at a faster rate. You can also see that peoples and nations are effected by this increase of speed. Everything is going by in a flash. So what is happening?

Personally, I see things are speeding up. Sometimes it feels like standing still and everything else is in fast forward around me. I think some people are starting to really feel the pressure from it too. Some simply cant seem to handle it and it appears as though they are losing their minds. Then there are those are that are breezing right through it. That is where I am, comfortably not watching a clock.

I see this as a time of huge change, with even bigger changes on the horizon. But I also see this as a time when everyone on both sides of the coin are looking for answers even harder than before. We all want answers to all the questions that arise during these times of change. And as both sides seek these answers, they are colliding with each other and there is much disagreement and division. Both sides are neither right nor wrong, it is what it is. (42) This is just part of the process we all are going through. We may even have similar conflicts within ourselves on an individual basis. So how do we survive this?

The first thing I must do is accept that everything I do is going to have an effect on things to come. As is the same for every living breathing soul on the planet. The thought process is going to effect things. Reactions to each other are going to have an effect on things. In order to survive we must be able to flow with these changes and keep going forward. There may indeed be catastrophic earth changes, but I dont see the planet imploding. It is for certain that nations are going through major changes, and opportunities are arising for regular people to bring changes. This is where trust plays a major role in the bigger picture of things.

We need to stop trusting those that got us to this point in the first place. And we need to learn to trust in ourselves to do the right thing. We also need to resist division and find ways to bring marriage to our ideas. The more we fight each other, the more we fight ourselves and in turn, are fighting against the changes that need to come. Spinning our wheels so to speak. Trust in each other, both sides of the fence. Yes its hard to do that, but the hardest things in life are usually the right thing to do.

The planet is going to change, with or without us. You can bank on that. The future can be an amazing experience. It will be up to all of us what that experience is going to be. Create it how it was meant to be. It is the simplest answer to getting to the other side.

Not a chance of it happening.

Apart from the first paragraph, 2012 didn't feature in the article as far as I'm concerned.

I also believe that 21-12-2012 will come and go without anything external of note actually happening. I do think though that the ramp-up to the date will see a proportionally hysterical response, but once it transpires that the fiery meteors have taken a massive detour I think a lot of people will feel quite dumb for believing the hype. I see parallels to the Y2K hysteria.

I do concur with the remainder of the article in that things are speeding up, and things are becoming public that I never expected to become public. An example being electric cars. I've also noticed that - taking electric cars as an example - the major manufacturers all seem to announce 'breakthroughs' at about the same time.... As if there's a 'hidden hand' we don't see that's keeping things all nicely co-ordinated.
