EDIT by Ilie: The guidelines do not allow linking to sites that sell products.

I have PM Steve and he agreed to delete this post.

Please contact him via PM about his site

I 'd like to help you with some criticism. Intended as being positive.

I hear a base-kick and a melody and its a little minimalistic for my taste. Try adding a snare and a hi-hat. also a drum fill is always nice to move to a different part of a song.

The whole general sound of the track is a bit at the high end of the sound spectrum. This is because the bass-kick is to much on the background. It sounds like its in the room next door IMO.
It helps to listen to your track on a lot of different kinds of sound installations. Here's a tip: if it works in a car stereo then you've probably nailed it!

I hope that helped you a bit.

yeah midnight i know its a bit minimal that was done on purpose so the words come thorough more otherwise you listen to the music its a strange concept i know but thanks for the advise it all goes in the head trust me

Hey there;

I'm an electronic musician myself, I just make music for personal enjoyment at the moment but I'm hoping to eventually make a career out of it. If you are looking for a place to feature your music, Indaba Music is an excellent website. I have a profile on there myself:

http://www.indabamusic.com/people/sleepless1111

I love this website because they continuously have opportunities & contests for musicians (some paying, some not) and there's quite a good community of other musicians/producers there. The site is also full of info as to how to get your music released on iTunes, etc. Membership is free initially but you can upgrade to "pro" membership which has more benefits.

You already have a good start with your Youtube channel… I don't have any means or know-how at the moment to make any videos to go with my songs, but I wish I did. :P

Hi the voice,

I know where you're at. I'd like to invite you to my website http://www.marketingyourmusic.net . On there you will find all the tools you need to get ahead. Have a good scout around, read the articles, get a free e-book, in general have a look around and see what sparks your interest. Then get back to me - could be e-mail or PM if you prefer.

Best regards,

Steve

hi Voice.. great post and track...
www.feyr.com and www.soundclick.com are two sites where i sell my music online.. i sell my own album on my website www.jendayi.nl
the first site (feyr.com) allows you to distribute your music through more than 200 mp3 stores online including itunes, amazon and beatport.. you create your own virtual label and hold the rights in your hands.. there is even a helpfull app that helps you set up a creative commons license, see www.creativecommons.org for licensing and copyrighting your music/art/writings worldwide and for free. the amount of money you have to invest for worldwide online distribution is about a total of 15 euro's. there are many good options on the net
good luck. feel free to pm me some questions you might have..
namaste!
p.s. i agree with rakmeister on the suggested technical aspects..

I think that as music is so subjective, the most important thing is that you get pleasure and satisfaction from the creative process and ignore the financial side of the business totally. I would not be too concerned about trying to sell your music through all the usual online stores, rather that you give away and distribute your music to as many people as you can to get your message across. If enough people like your music (and your message) you will find other avenues to support yourself, perhaps through performances. In any event, I wish you well and thank you for having the courage to share.

If you just want to make cds for your own friends then the Boss 900 cd is very good.
As an ex semi-pro I found it great to practice with.
Many guitar effects, I play Bass guitar and sing, Vocal sounds very good, drum machine adequate but you can import midi flies

Rock on

Aye yes, the paths collide.

50,000 people x 10 dollars equals 500,000 dollars. There are close to 7 billion people on the planet.
We have entered the digital revolution so the ability to reach those numbers is possible......good luck.

Agreed Jason....the minute you make massive amounts of money off your music is the moment you compromise your art....though that's mainly geared towards marketing towards specific aspects of our societies and being signed to a major record deal.
The goal is to give a "product" or a piece of art with intent backed behind it....that's magic....its an offering to the general public in hopes that it resonates with them and elightens them to create something as well....in that case....someone does deserve a certain amount of compensation.
Also subjectivity.....if an artist creates music that didn't help the artist who created....then what is the point of making the music other than for purely entertainment....which is what we see in the major record labels this day in age.
I'll record a band each day of the month if they pay my rent for the month.....that's a killer deal lol.

thank you all for the love and comments it means a lot the tunes come from my heart. The music i make will be given free, the only thing that will be sold or as i like to call whoring myself out is the remixing and production side of my skills. After all i still need to eat and pay my rent in an ideal world that would be free to. peace and love to you all x here is my sound cloud page if anyone would like to check it out. http://soundcloud.com/quantum-synphony-orcestra[/URL]
