G'day All,
CNN Australia reporting USGS measuring quake upgraded to 8.9 with 5 aftershocks in last hour.
Japanese centre reporting as 8.4.
Tsunami warning for region with coastal wave of 1 metre translating to a 6 to 10 metre wave after landfall (according to CNN).
Extensive inland damage caused by tsunami.
