You would need a quick eye to catch that one!

Yes you do need a bit of a quick eye, and it seems the camera man did have one because you will notice he focuses away from the shuttle and towards the object when he notices it.

I was watching the live transmission , there seemed to be fairly nothing in the sky, very clear view , except I thought there was an airplane in distance.
Even with HD cameras, there're still lots of glitches and distortions of what a very distant object might look like .

Looks to me like a small flock of birds.

The behaviour seems significant. "They" do make such appearances quite often.
