In close proximity to the upcoming March 15 alignment of Comet Elenin, which is just a few days away, there has been an earthquake in China, a big one in Japan (8.9), a new late winter storm in Turkey and Greece and yet another volcanic eruption in Indonesia. We noted an X-class solar flare a day or so ago, too. All of these things may be related to the approach of Comet Elenin. The following was posted to Laura Knight-Jadczyk's blog on 10 March 2011.

Bill Ryan (via Jay Weidner) points out some serious *personal issues* with her in the channeled sub forum and I can understand anyone's reason for pause upon reading that.

I disagree with your assessment however ... and that is okay.

I have followed some (not all) of her work for many years now and find her to be an outstanding researcher and writer.

Like all things it is likely not a black or white issue (or right or wrong) rather mired in the grey area.

Comet Elenin is not the object that is passing by right now. I have had friends who followed this group in Washington and was read some of the materials.
There is a consistent skewing of the facts towards the cataclysmic and fearful, from what I have seen. There are multiple changes going on in the solar system and
the objects passing the earth may have a magnifying effect on those forces.

The close approach data for Elenin is 10/16/2011, and it will be farther away than the current object.

Thank you for the clarification.

She has been writing for years about the brown dwarf binary kicking loose many comets from the oort cloud so I assumed she/they were using correct data on this one.

Don't follow too closely any more and so it would seem I stand corrected :)
