The DSLR revolution.
Media and entertainment have a profound effect on culture and has been a serious financial investment to produce until now.
In the past 2 years a technological revolution has been occurring in video camera technology that comes in the form of a video recording mode on DSLR still picture cameras.

Here's an Emmy award winning documentary about it and the technicals.

I could go on and on about why this is such a big deal and there is plenty of information about that, but all you need to know is that you can now purchase a camera with 95% of the quality of a 35mm or digital cinema camera for between $800-3000.
For examples of the footage go to this video website, http://vimeo.com/ and search for "Canon 7D" or "Canon 5D".
So for any of you out there that want to send a message with the quality everyone has come to expect from anyone who's taking their message seriously, it's time. That includes you Mr. Ryan! ;)
I'll answer any questions you have on the subject but please do your own research also...
A perspective on alternative media.
This is a short thought on alternative media and it's role. In the age of corporate monopoly over the media alternative media is a much needed medium, but it can become a trap of instant gratification.
It is my opinion that many in this community know what needs to be done to get us on a better path towards the future, but many of us carry about our daily lives the same as before we knew what was happening and what needed to be changed.
"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" - Albert Einstein
It is also in my opinion from observing the alternative media community for about 10 years that many become blinded, distracted, or addicted to knowing more and more about the many subjects that are brought up or covered by the alternative media. Many keep searching for the next amazing piece of the puzzle or discuss it endlessly bringing no actual change or difference to the current situation.

I'll conclude my post there to keep it short and to the point. Sorry if there are any grammar or spelling mistakes.
Thank you for your time!
