I took this photo this morning at 9:45.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is what is known as a HAARP cloud?

TIA.

Hello Teakai,

That looks like what some call a "sylph" and what I have often seen form as chemtrails span out on a relatively clear day. I think the "Haarp" clouds are more like the noctoluminescent clouds.

Take a look here:

1. There also my be oil present in that cloud. Maybe a detergent effect.

2. A prismatic effect due to ice crystals in the cloud, if they are aligned in some way. The sun shining through them creates a prismatic rainbow effect/light spectrum splitting.

I looked around the internet before jumping to conclusion that your photo is that of a HAARP cloud. It could very well be what Morning Song and Icecold have described.

Dieter Braun (aka Indian in the Machine), a Shaman and a blogger (http://indianinthemachine.wordpress.com/2010/06/24/haarp-rainbow-cloud-seen-in-toronto-a-few-days-before-earthquake/), who's big in sylphs, also say he's seem many rainbow clouds without anything following through. (He's a sylphs fan and an avid skywatcher)

Your best guide will be your senses. Keep them clear an open, and ANY sense of niggling, doubts or uneasy feelings whatsoever, act on them.

Look to your animal friends, too. Watch their mood and behaviour: dogs, cats, birds- etc.

Before the tsunami in Asia of 2004, many animals took off for higher ground. The tribal people of the Nicobar islands, for example, followed the animal folks' example and managed to save themselves.

Having said that, I really hope your picture was just that of pretty effects of clouds.

In any case, keep vigilant and alert. Here's send lots of positive thoughts your and NSW's way.

Cloud looks similar to those photgraphed before quake but I have not seen the sun so close (or even in the photo for that matter).

Ruby is spot on regarding animals. I remember the last big one in China had massive number of frogs coming out into the open. One of the leading quake "forcasters" monitors lunar and lunar/solar events then will look at cities near fault line areas local newspaper's lost and found section for runaway dogs and cats.

My guess is number 2.
I have seen clouds like that near the Pacific coast of Costa Rica
where oil pollution would be very unlikely.
There are no polluting industries for many miles around.
Also water molecules form when hot and cold air collide,
and in some cases have this effervescent effect.
