I just received this email from Caduceus and I want to get some ideas on this.
Who thinks this is a good idea?
Why?
Who thinks this is a bad idea?
Why?
THIS IS NOT THE 'DON'T BUY' PETROL FOR ONE DAY, BUT IT WILL SHOW YOU HOW WE CAN GET PETROL BACK DOWN TO $1.00 PER Litre....
This was originally sent by Phillip Hollsworth, a retired Coca Cola executive.
If you are tired of the gas prices going up AND they will continue to rise this winter, take time to read this, PLEASE.
Phillip offered this good idea.
This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy petrol on a certain day' campaign that was going around last April or May!
It is worth your consideration. Join the resistance!!!!
We are going to hit $ 2.50 a litre and it might go higher!! Want petrol prices to come down?
We need to take some intelligent, united action. The oil companies just laughed at last year’s action because they knew we would not continue to 'hurt' ourselves by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.
Please read on and join with us!
By now, you're probably thinking petrol priced at about $1.99 is cheap.
It is currently $2.09 for regular unleaded.
Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a liter of gas is CHEAP at $1.99, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace...not sellers.
With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action...
The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their petrol! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.
How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying petrol.
But we CAN have an impact on petrol prices if we all act together to force a price war.
Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY petrol from BP
the biggest price-up driver company.
If they are not selling any petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.
But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of BP petrol buyers. It's SO simple!
Now, don't wimp out on me at this point...keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions and even BILLIONS of people!!
I am sending this note to 20 people..
If each of you sends it on to at least twenty more that's (20 x 20 = 400) ..
And those 400 send it to at least twenty more (400 x 20 = 8000 ... and so on,
by the time the message reaches the fifth group of people, we will have reached over SIXTY FOUR MILLION consumers!!!!!
20x20 = 400
400x20 = 8,000
8,000x20 = 160,000
160,000x20 = 3,200,000
3,200,000x20 = 64,000,000
64,000,000x20 = 12,800,000,000
That's 12.80 Billion people folks, who will have been contacted!!!!!
Unbelievable?? Do the math and see for yourself!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 20 people. That's all!
I'll bet you didn't think we had that much potential, did you!
Acting together we can make a difference..
If this message makes sense to you, then please pass it on.
THEY will LOWER THEIR PRICES TO BELOW THE $1.50 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN.
THIS CAN REALLY WORK.
It’s simple – send the message along to others and choose to not buy petrol from BP.

I think boycotting is very important in the fight against humanity... We all should be very careful about who we spend our money with...
I was in the supermarket last night and could not buy any oven cleaner as all the brands on the shelves were owned by the same conglomerates... Annoying, but very tempting to just buy something for price, convenience and because they often look good with very clever branding and marketing.
Edit to add - You think they are all different brands of detergent but turn them round little bit of research and you will see they are all they same... Just like they want us to be, the same and full of chemicals..'
Sorry not about petrol so a little off topic... I agree dont buy petrol is a good idea..

It might work if you redesign the message
with a pink and purple border and then have
little puppies, kittens, babies, and unicorns in each corner.
that's for all the gals out there,
Then do a second version for the guys,
with a grey and navy striped border
with a racing car, a soccer ball, a sports illustrated bikini clad supermodel and a picture of a double hamburger
in those four corners.
The artwork is easy enough and can be added and/or edited by each forwarder him/herself.

Hello Icecold,
Nice idea but it won't work. Oil companies like BP are 'integrated' companies. By that I mean, that they drill for oil, produce oil, refine oil and market their gasoline. Every stage of that operation runs separately. If a million people stop buying their gasoline from BP gas stations and go elsewhere, you still have the same volume of gasoline being sold. BP refiners will simply sell their refined gasoline to the other independent gas stations that are taking up the extra volumes. The only people you would be hurting would be the local manager of the BP gas station and his staff. BP refiners and production will continue to make money. The refiner doesn't care who he sells his gasoline to... any distributor will buy it. The mark up from refiner to marketer is not that big. It's the crude oil supplier to the refiner that make the big bucks.
The ONLY way to bring costs down is to end the insatiable appetite for petroleum products. Yes, ride your bike to work or walk. heheheh Grow your own food. In other words become sovereign; get off the grid. Live simply.
I know, I know I'm preaching to the choir... just had to get it off my chest...

Yeah its a nice idea but fatally flawed, as mentioned by Chuck B.P supply lots of other companies, they would simply absorb the loss elsewhere.
And unless we are going to start sending this chain email interplanetary i don't see how it will reach 12,800,000,000 or 25.6 Billion people.
The last time i checked we were less than 7 Billion on the entire planet :)

Interesting post Ice, it’s a bad idea.
In #2 Chelmostef in Norway reports that he was unable to buy oven cleaner as all the brands on the shelf were owned by the same conglomerates. It’s interesting how he used the word “Conglomerates”. He is correct in his observation.
In #4 Maria from Sweden reports they don’t have BP in Sweden.
In #5 Chuck from Canada correctly illustrates the point they are singling out BP.
In #6 The Trojan hits the jackpot with quote:
“My partner and her family, work colleagues and friends all indulged in this chain e-mail”.
It’s not about consumerism it’s propaganda by Rockefeller and his gang of thieves. They pretend to you that by agreeing with this you are hitting back at the big guys, while they subliminally tell you that BP is the culprit. Don’t buy BP is the message.
They want to destroy BP, because BP is the biggest oil company in the world.. That’s why they destroyed the deep water horizon platform, to destroy BP, defraud the insurance company, and make billions on triggered Cat bonds. What they wanted was the oil and gas from the North Slope of Alaska. It’s no different from the point Chelmostef makes about the oven cleaner. They want to control everything, just like Monsanto controls food production via the terminator seed.
Your number one priority today and everyday is to outshine the New World Order. While these parasites still exist in our society life expectancy for you and your children is not assured. These people are masquerading as the United Nations, and utterly repugnant organisation whose sole “policy” and you can check this on the UN website, is population slaughter.
It’s a clever use of e-mail; the sheeple will fall for it but thankfully not you. They forget BP employ more people in the US and Canada that they do in Britain. The value of your pension fund and your retirement has a lot to do with the success of BP.
What we should do is hijack this e-mail and turn the bottom half into a message that the New World Order plan to slaughter the reader, enclose a link to the UN policy and illustrate the most serious issues facing mankind which isn’t peak oil, as they would have you believe, that’s a scam or global warming, another scam but Monsanto’s "terminator" seed. Through subliminal messaging note how they use semantics in the branding of the product. It’s not the seed they are talking about it’s you.
PS Dennis. These are my heartfelt thoughts and views. They may not be yours, so does that make you right and me wrong with your 4D policy?

hight petrol prices = less petrol used = less s..t in the air for our kids to breathe. Train, bicycles, feet, even sharing cars with neighbours are good alternatives to most people living in towns. Plus it promotes more investment in the green energies sector. I don't see it as a bad thing.

Internet worse climate culprit than aviation
All computers and servers used for internet access in the world now consumes as much energy as aviation. Only a single avatar in Second Life emits 1.17 tonnes of greenhouse gas per year, an analysis by research firm IDC.
Implementing virtual tours on the internet is not everything as environmentally friendly as network advocates want to believe. Martin Hingley, a researcher at the computer consulting firm IDC, argues in an article in the newspaper Die Welt that Internet use in the world has evolved into an energy users of large dimensions.
Internet operators 'servers and users' computers now draws so much power that the Internet as a concept can be considered an environmental villain, claiming Hingley.
Between 2000 and 2005 doubled electricity consumption to keep the World Wide Web started. Two years ago, needed the power equivalent to 20 pieces of 1000-megawatt power plant to keep the Internet running.
Since then, new energy-hungry services come online.
Only the popular video site YouTube is currently considered to result in a power consumption which is equal to the electricity consumption for the entire Internet two years ago.
Hardware vendors like Sun, IBM, HP and others, as well as software providers like Google and Microsoft have recently taken the initiative to more energy-efficient technology for PCs and servers.
Users who want to help the environment is recommended to switch off their computers when not in use
Conclusion:
Sending 12,800,000,000 mails around the world might not be as good as we let us to believe. .... just some thoughts!

“ Two New Word Order Scallywags”
Iagree with you Buck about being more responsible about the Enviroment. However I do thinks it’s critically important not to be seduced into the green global warming propaganda lobby.
Jordan Maxell warned “ Follow the money” well we did and so $516 trillion dollars was recently transferred from the US to Europe by the Fed in what we suspect is a Carbon trading scam. This followed the theft of $56 trillion in 2000 from the United States teacher’s pension fund by Gordon Brown (British Bilderberg member) and Edward “Ed” Balls (British Bilderberg member) all with the help of Wall Street bankers.
No Dennis, I’m not being negative under your 4D policy, rather aware I would argue. I agree the Enviroment is important, but it hasn’t escaped my attention that Al Gore “the prophet of doom” has quietly overnight become a billionaire on the back of the carbon trading scam. So while he jets around the world in his Gulfstream sipping Martini on ice you and I are told to take the bike, while developing nations must continue living in poverty.
The sooner they are in Jail, the sooner it gets better.

Unfortunately, it is not only about global warming. Particles which are left-overs of combustion engines became a health problem in urban environment. Recent studies have shown correlations between respiratory diseases (mainly for kids) and levels of said particles. Burning fuel stinks anyway.. I am quite conscious that there is big money at stake, and that lobbying from all parts is being used. It is their games that I don't want to be a part of. I 've personally chosen not to use combustion engines and never got myself a driving license. (I'm close to 40 now..)

I agree that we need to choose who we invest our spending with more carefully. Not sure if this is the way, as has been clearly explained above.
The important idea in this email is that we do have the power. The wealthiest corporations in the world do not create billions in revenue from money trees. Their revenue is a direct reflection on the worlds spending choices.
I would be interested in starting a list of effective financial decisions that would make these NWO interests irrelevant.
1. Take your money out of their banks.
2. Start planning to make your home energy independent.
3. Buy local
4. ?
Please add to this if you have any ideas.

I can't believe that you didn't see my humour there..
And I thought I was really being funny,
ok... a bit sarcastic, which gets lost on the Internet at times...
I thought that was obvious, though...
after having been bombarded for years with those crappy FWDs,
deleting while wondering about mankind's sanity, because those things make the rounds of the Internet with unbelievable speed,
while I never send that kind of stuff on, but everyone else does.
so, yes, if you want to get to one billion people as fast as possible
you play by the rules of the "cute" culture
which is what is reigning supreme...out there, anyway
I was JOKING!
So now I take the p*ss out of their style,
and you are talking me SERIOUSLY??
Talk about misunderstanding...
Did anyone else here read it as serious?
What is the matter with you, wolf?
I know so much about the advertising world and I cannot STAND them,
even dropped some very nice friends simply because they work for those big corporate agendas...
