Whilst in the job centre earlier, The chap who was sat in front of me dealing with my claim interupted our meeting to answer the phone. I pointed out how rude this was and was told it was procedure. I asked to speak to a manager and was ignored, so i raised my voice and called for a manager.
When the floor manager came over he explained that answering the phone was more important than the customer at the desk. I asked to speak to someone more senior, (in the meantime the guy who i was chatting to answered another call).
The floor manager told me that his boss had a meeting at 10 am and would be unavailable but would speak to me after her meeting. I asked how long this would be and was told "I dont know". I then asked him if he had had Common Purpose training he replied "no Comment" I then asked "did you mactually get meet Julia Middleton" he replied "no comment"
I said i was not prepared to wait any longer as i had already been in the centre for 30 mins. I took my mobile out of my pocket to telephone the dept for W&P to complain, when the security guard told me turn my pone off as it was the LAW..... asked which law and he pointed to an inhouse computer generated sign. pointed out he was using his mobile as was his friend who he was chatting to in the reception area. He made a move to grab either me or the phone and i shouted " i do not consent to you touching me" so he puffed his chest out and pushed me into the door, His colleage turned up (a guy who could take the place of three) who grabbed me by the arm and ejected me from the building acusing me of trespass (despite and appointment) i was out side the offices when the first security guard took me right arm and tried to put it in a lock position behind my back (despite my objections and denial of consent).
i called the police they failed to show up......... So far i dont know where to turn... have reported to the police as an assault but have a feeling they will be useless and back their common purpose colleagues.

This sounds appalling, and sadly so typical of how things are developing. Official rudeness
and contempt for the individual. Do you have a government Ombudsman
in the U.K? Not that these people do much good anyway...the best idea is to live off the grid
as far as possible, be as self-sufficient as possible.
Sorry to hear of your experience-i know of what you speak.

That's disgusting Setras.
Hope your not injured in anyway.
They do have certain rights and laws for their protection, but they don't allow them to do any of the things you mention above. I work in the service industry and i can tell you that the customer in your presence is more imortant than the phone call. Obviously, not in a personal way, more in a manner of ettiquete. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for them to have acted in the way they did, it is mosty assuredly unlawful, but your right i fear that the police will do absolutely nothing as they will believe the majority with the same story rather than the one with the different story.
If i were you i'd find out who your local MP is, get some contact details for his office and try to arrange a meeting with him, or at least put it in writing to him and post it off and also be sure to put a call in to the office to try anf get tp speak to him directly even if he won't be able to give you face time. Its a long shot but he's your best option, afterall, he'll see a victory helping a constituent as a basis to get more votes, so its in his interest.
Regards and best wishes
Zeph
***EDIT***
Just saw your post about the arm injury. Get down to A&E and tell them exactly how it happened. That way you've got an official record to take to the police/MP then. More ammo to throw at them.

Very sorry to read what happened. Maybe when you're feeling better you could arrange for a friend with a mobile phone+cam to accompany you to the same office and attempt something similar to frame the security guard. If they recognize you, they're more likely to think they can get away with it a second time. Make sure your friend is at a safe distance, filming every moment. Make sure though that you don't do anything illegal yourself or it won't work. Good luck.

I'd suggest against trying to frame anyone personally. play it by the book and justice has no cause to look for any chinks in your moral armour.
On the GP front, its as good as going to A&E if he/she notes down how it happened. If you also mention you called the police and they failed to show they should be able to add that to the report.

i dont want to be a party pooper but if you didnt react so harshly to the rudeness of this nothing would had happened. You could even make a complain but i really think that would be a waste of time. What you did was fought and lost for rudeness.
Yes i am with you 100% that they are pathetic and bullies but ... welcome to the real world of the last 10-20 years. These brain dead people think they control you, so you just have to deprive them their fun/enjoyment. In the end an official complain and maybe a msg to the media would had made things far worse to them than now. Atm its too late to do anything about it and i dont think you will ever get anything if you pursue this any further.
You see this hole system is build in a way to prevent any "Logical" reaction to oppression and justness. They can tell you its not allowed to tape anything inside a building that has 24/7 cctv and if you ask for those tapes even with court order you can get a reply it was broke those hours. Going head on against them is pointless and ineffective.
I hope you will get better soon, with love Themistoklis.

The chap was being offensive ,thoughtless, careless of the fellow sitting in front of him by picking up the phone IMHo .
The statement about the phone being more important then the person sitting in front of you is a slap on top of already being careless.
The job service is still offering a service an IMO Setra had a good reason to be upset especially arriving by appointment .
GGRRRRrrr.
Sorry .

I am sorry you had to suffer their rules, when you pointed out their ignorance. Sadly they have power which they are abusing. The general law (the matrix) will get you wherever and whenever a convenient situation arises.
We have a saying which helps us to remember to fly under the radar, and remain as conscious as possible and avoid kneejerk reaction, courtesy of the ego. Well that's the short version.
"There is nothing worse than impossible people in positions of power"
Congrats on the job btw, get out of the clutches of that set of peeps.

It should all be on CCTV if you can get hold of it, although I shouldn't waste your time. These people are rude and ignorant. It's a pity but there's a definite type that works at the Jobcentre and unfortunately they all seem to be the same type. There's a saying "Pick your battles........" I know it's annoying but expecting anything better from people like this is simply unrealistic. People like you make their day. I wouldn't give them the satisfaction .....
Writing to your MP may get you a result - I think your MP is Gerald Howarth but check with House of Commons to be sure.
Let us know how you get on .... good luck!

Hi Setras,
I was just going to recommend our friend, Lord Sidious, for advice...but I see he's already on the scene. I believe he is a storehouse of knowledge when it comes to understanding one's rights these days.
It's easy to just sit back and bite your tongue when treated in a disrespectful manner, and we all do it. But should we really? Who are we helping at the end of the day?
I believe it only serves to benefit the cause of impersonalism in our world...and people only abuse their power because they think they can get away with it.
I say good for you, Setras. As with anyone who has been wronged, I hope you find justice.
...and congrats on getting the job!

i am more pleased with the fact i asked them to stop politely, using please at the start of every sentence. i bear them no ill will or malice and would actually like to thank them for the experience. Must say it was quite an experience as i have never thrown a punch or had a fight.

I had an experience once that promised to end up like yours.
I stopped it quick.
They told me they would call the police if I didn't leave.
I told them ''I'll wait'' and they refused to call the cops.
So they got their security guard to come over and tell me he would throw me out.
I told him I would take him apart right there if he so much as laid one finger on me.
Being a coward/bully type, he walked off.

I hope your arm is getting better now Setras,
Don't worry, the matrix of fear and control is breaking down fast and in a few years time these kinds of people will be powerless against you.
In the meantime it is part of their learning experience to feel what it's like to be a fascist,
some of them eventually make the choice to change.

In those scenarios always get a name of a witness and his phone number in case anything serious happens ie injury or physical abuse. It's the first thing a lawyer will ask for if anything bad ever happens and you want to take it further.

Setras put your complaint down on paper.Make 3 copys send one to your local member of parliament and the other to the job center.Keep the original and the 3rd copy for your own records.
Once you have had your complaint investigated if you not happy. Then you have the right to an investigation by an indipendent body whos job it is to investigate the actions of goverment bodys like the Job Center.
Go to your Doctor about your shoulder and remember to tell him how you injured it.
Once you have all that in place.Seek some legal address

get to a doctor ASAP within 48hours of this happening
Tell the doctor ONLY what happend with the security guards. IE start with i was on my phone while waiting in line and then.... etc etc. Do not tell him anythign else. Tell the doctor you need a report from him on you're injuries sustained from this incident.
Noone will do anything to help you - unless you have that piece of paper within 48hrs of this happening from the doctor.
Once you have that piece of paper however - you can walk striaght into a police station with it and start out the paperwork.
Just please please please dont forget that piece of paper from the doctor, and within 48hrs of this event happening.
I know of someone whom got beaten up by security for no apparent reason. They sat on it too long, and when they went to follow it up (within 7days of this event occuring mind you) and were told "tough ditties" as if it was "realy serious enuogh to warrant this action you would have come to us sooner" And it appears that medical report goes hand in hand with you being able to do anything about the problem.
From there tho - i'd go straight to the copshop and request to file assalt charges. You did nothing wrong, and they have CCTV footage of that. It will be you're word against theirs, as they can try to say you provoked them verbally etc etc. But by the sounds of it - you were cool and in controll when this happend - they should have a nice picture of you standing back and saying something right before the guard moves in to hurt you. Just dont be afraid to do something about it!!!
(medical paper thing is requirement in Aus i believe - unsure about everywhere else - but it would seem logical you would need it too to prove you have the injuries)

In australia, we have up to 4 month "ques" to even get you're foot in the door to the govt office here. From there you've got about another month while they dork arond with the paperwork, and another two weeks from whenever they finish it before you're just getting started.
Walk in without an apointment during the week and you're up for standing in a line for a minamum of an hour before you actualy reach the front desk.
I disagree with you're ideaology that "dont protest, just shutup and take it - this is what the real world is like...."
This is the way the world is becoming. Becuase of that mentality. It will never stop untill we the people, do something about it.
And saying that they were rude because of the phonecall thing is unfair. They booked an apointment, a 1 on 1 with a govt rep. They get in there, to find that the rep is taking calls the whole time. And it beign a govt work office - it's not going to be a short call either. Insert at least 2 minutes into the front of the call while he ID's the caller, matches up their govt work number, opens their case and gets up to date before dealing with the issue at hand.
Callcentres are for taking phone calls. Appointments are for when you sit down with people and focus at the task at hand. Iner-office calls are totaly acceptable - IE call from receptionist - IT calling back abuot yuo're work pc acting funny, a manager telling you to hurry up so he can see you - etc etc. But taking calls from the public facing consumer...... when you're in an apointment with someone.... That's nothign more than the government trying to save money by cutting out the callcentres and making the existing staff take on the workload - at the customer's expense.
Hell, all the money saving things companies do these days are allways at the expense of the customer. Just this one.... seems to want to rub it in you're face while taunting you.

You may want to peruse 'Silent State' by journalist Heather Brooke - all about the myth of British Democracy. I had a vague idea about the topics covered but she sets it out in frightening detail - the chapter on Crime and Punishment has particular relevance here.
