Declaration of individual independence by Ben Stewart:
It is understood that the truest source of tyranny, slavery, and fear abounds in the heart, in the mind, and in the seat of our consciousness.
By the weight of our slavery, we are held far below our potential for compassion, far below the potential for community, and far below the potential for a meaningful and peaceful existence.
It is understood that the dynamic between the whole of humanity accounts for the illusion of separation between the individuals, their environment, and even their own species.
However, this dynamic should be celebrated, for the dynamic itself does not induce separation, but the illusion thereof.
It is understood that the source of tyranny is nourished and fostered by any intolerance towards another's path towards liberation.
The path will be different for every individual, and should not be judged, should not be harassed, but should be supported, or at the very least, left alone.
The struggle for freedom within, far surpasses the turmoil of our struggle without.
It is understood that the greatest protection needs not be built around documents, dogmas, nor establishments, but around the principles, ethics, and souls of a community, in order for freedom to survive.
If this freedom is impinged upon, it is understood that we are being attacked from within.
No attack from within shall be acceptable.
Neither shall attack from without be acceptable.
Living in accordance with love, compassion, and tolerance does not imply weakness.
One who loves his or her self would not allow any form of abuse, whether self inflicted or externally imposed.
We sever none of our sovereignty and relinquish none of our freedoms to any governance except that of our own ethical, natural and spiritual law.
We recognize that the tendency for governments to corrupt is a result of a corruption in consciousness.
We recognize that the tendency for an individual to lie, cheat, steal, or murder for personal gain, is a result of the lying, cheating, theft, and murder of our compassionate nature.
We assume responsibility for our own sovereignty and accept the fruit of our actions as a consequence of our own divine will.
The symbol of the sovereign individual is the beautifully radiant soul protected by the just and righteous warrior.
An eternal manner of strength and vigilance, do we declare, from this point forward to protect, defend, and conquer any and all tyranny.
To comprehend and to deny any and all bondage.
To Love one another as brothers and sisters.
To tolerate one another as brothers and sisters.
To defend one another as brothers and sisters, and to remain in harmony with our mother earth, with the understanding, that if we lose sight of her, our most precious gift, and most sacred relationship, then we become the most tyrannical force in existence.
We, today, begin our new lives, by a birth that no man or woman of flesh could give.
