the Energy Catalyzer is the world's first commercially viable cold fusion reactor.
"The device has been tested for many years before being made public recently."
"The primary fuel source is powdered Nickel which is a safe and very abundant resource. The energy catalyzer uses very small amounts along with pressurized hydrogen to produce vast amounts of energy so it's very difficult to see any sort of shortage or problem with fuel supply. The reactor is able to self-sustain but functions better with an input.
So far the mainstream media have been in "Ignore Mode" which is something we are all sadly accustomed to whenever a new invention threatens existing power structures and the pockets of rich white men. However, the tide may be starting to turn in the following weeks as things ramp up. It's hard to imagine the stonewall silence continuing in the face of a 1MW demonstration and working devices being shipped.
With the current terrible situation in Japan nuclear power has been perhaps exposed as a step too far in providing cheap energy. Safety should be first priority and it seems that Rossi's Energy Catalyzer is leading the charge in both safety, cheapness and energy security.
Bellisimo!"

Very educational Ulli. I might add for the Americans out there GE is getting ready to market a solar powered wind generator, and wind powered generator for under 1000.

I guess it's full speed ahead for anyone in that field now.
Two years ago I read about a new battery that was compact and
could store several months worth of energy for a large household..
.I forgot to bookmark it and never again found the information....
going to research now...

Thanks, Ilie.
I wanted to open up this thread so anyone who has heard of
some breakthrough in the field of generators or batteries can contribute.
My vision for the future is energy independence...in other words,
get disconnected from a municipal power grid, but have one's own source...
at least for those who live in the country.

I remembered a podcast done by http://www.sott.net/podcasts/listall in which they interview Jean-Pierre Petit, he is a researcher in cold fusion. The Podcast is number 48 and 49 on their streaming device.
His website is http://www.jp-petit.org/
and there is a wikipedia info page on him http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Pierre_Petit
My thoughts on this are that it exists as a viable source of energy, it is I think as Wade Frazier says, 'they' who do not want this, will go to any lengths to destroy people who seriously bring this into the open. However I think there is a window of oportunity here now following the Japanese disaster, it is foremost in the minds of people. I hope someone can bring this forward NOW before the window closes and the populace get collective amnesia about the dangers of nuclear fuel.
I am not an engineer and I don't understand it at all, my expertise is planting carrots (and other seeds), and psychodynamic psychology.
Love you all

Exactly, Gardener...and that is precisely why I feel so strongly
that we here should make as much noise as possible
about these new developments.
The whole world will benefit from this knowledge.

free energy is the only way to go.... there are so many inventions that can help us live "off the grid" so to speak...
free heating, free energy from the earth... running a car on compressed air... the possibilities are endless.. not even mentioning the legacy Nikola Tesla left us...
do your research! there's an abundant amount of truth out there..
great thread Ulli.. thank you for kickstarting this!

I heard somewhere that cold fusion technology has the capability to break down radio active particles eliminating the radical particles that damage DNA when in contact.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ionizing_radiation
If this is true, just another plus on the technology we should be upgrading to obviously. But as things go, there needs to be a campaign to push this into the immediate consciousness of society.
Since we live in a money driven economic society, the only way to successfully reach people is through advertising everywhere. The Internet is a huge help.
I dont know.......I think one of these days I'm going to take a trip over to MIT and find out what kind of things they have going on that are actually being pushed into the industry of energy.
The setup structure in this industry makes it extremely difficult to reach the right people. Even then they want a promise of profit before any concerns over investing time and energy.
It has to happen IMO though. The issue is always up how much pressure is applied to the higher ups who live in secluded environments where they have no concern for worrying about damage. That is until the real world starts creeping in with the chemical and electrical pollution that we live with in the real world of producers and consumers.
Peace :)

Thane Heins has performed demonstrations on YouTube in which his system consumes zero or almost no "real" power (all the "reactive power" is returned to the source) and outputs over ten watts.
ELECTRIC CAR Regenerative Acceleration Generator Technology Lab Demonstration
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARztYvprKkA&feature=channel_video_title
Description:
"The Self-Accelerating Generator produces 10.2 watts at 3300 RPM while the Conventional Generator is only able to produce ONLY 0.001 watts with an identical prime mover input setting.
The Regenerative Acceleration Generator produces 1,019,900% more output power over the conventional generator." (December , 24, 2009)

Two Toroid Over-Unity Gabriel Device --
David Klingelhoefer has designed and tested a variation of Thane Heins' Bi-Toroid Transformer that outputs more power than is consumed. He has been able to get the primary circuit consumption down to 60 watts, while outputting 480 watts -- 8x overunity.
For explanation of his work plus pictures:

What is powdered nickel?
Nickel is an inexpensive metal, in powdered form. If you google it you will find lots of websites including manufacturers where you can buy it.
nickel is a highly magnetic metal, if you have magnetism you can create a "Yin" field, or what scientists call the zero point.
In quantum field theory, the vacuum state (also called the vacuum) is the quantum state with the lowest possible energy. Generally, it contains no physical particles. Zero-point field is sometimes used as a synonym for the vacuum state of an individual quantized field.
A 100% efficient yin field contains no particles because the energy within it is moving in and out of a more subjective form of existence. From a point of mechanical stillness, the field enfolds on itself and creates the paradoxical state of having emptiness while still occupying objective space. Nickel iron meteorites were often used as capstones on pyramids.
The human organism is also equipped to do this.

Since this thread was started by myself I'm going to change the tune around here and give myself and whoever else wants to use it as such free licence to rant. I'm ranting about leaf blowers.... their air pollution as well as noise pollution.
I want clean energy now before I run outside and do something illegal to my neighbor's gardeners.
I HATE leaf blowers....
There just cannot exist a worse invention. This one sums up everything that's wrong with the upper end of a spoilt society.
ohhh...just as I started writing this a little rain began to fall and the leaf blowers went quiet...the gardeners ran for shelter...YAY.
Googling "I hate leaf blowers" produced tons of results, including a Facebook page by that name.
And here is something about their history:
19th century Japanese gardeners invent hand-held bellows to remove leaves and twigs from moss-covered soil. (1)
About 1970 Japanese engineers modernize the hand-operated blower by attaching a hose and a powerful motor. (1)
1970s Gas blowers introduced to U.S. (2,3)
1975 Carmel bans the blower.
1976 Beverly Hills bans blowers, saying they are nuisances. (4)
1985 75,000 backpack blowers sold. (1)
1986 West Hollywood, CA bans gas blowers.
1987 ·464,000 units sold. (5)
·Belvedere, CA bans gas-powered blowers.
1989 ·About 800,000 machines sold
·millions now in use with California leading the nation. (1,5)
1990 ·Indian Wells, CA bans leaf blowers.
·Piedmont, CA bans gas-powered blowers.
·City of Claremont stops using leaf blowers in the maintenance of city property and finds no net increase in labor hours. (6)
1991 ·Ad Hoc Committee to Ban Leaf Blowers asks the Sacramento City Council to ban leaf blowers; Council passes noise and time restrictions.
·Berkeley, CA City Council bans gas blowers.
·Los Altos, CA bans gas blowers by popular vote.
·Claremont, CA bans gas blowers.
1993 ·Laguna Beach, CA bans all leaf blowers.
·Mill Valley, CA bans gas blowers.
1997 ·Sales now over a million annually and growing 6-8 percent per year. (4,7)
·After an 11-year battle, Los Angeles bans gas-powered blowers within 500 feet of residences; ordinance remains controversial after passage and is twice revised.
·Lawndale bans gas blowers.
·Citizens' group in Santa Barbara qualifies ban for November ballot; voters approve ban 55 percent to 45 percent.
1998 ·Citizens in Palo Alto, Portola Valley, Sacramento, and Sunnyvale work to ban blowers.
·Menlo Park City Council bans blowers (8)
·Los Angeles ban fully implemented February 13.
·California State Senator Richard Polanco introduces SB1651 that would prohibit California cities from banning leaf blowers.
·Los Angeles Superior Court judge upholds city's ban.
