Hello everyone

I have been in this country when i was in my young ages for few years. One thing which was there was the "Muhabarat" the military police under Hafys Asad. I tell You no one from my Arab friends ever dreamed of doing anything against the regim, cos it was not possible, at each corner in Damascus You could see a guy with a machine gun. The city was very quite. So for me there is no chance that the move came from people who dont like the goverment, it must have been done by someone who could do it from outside globally like in Egypt, Libya etc. But the media is selling us a story about prodemocracy fighters , a romantic story but hardly a real picture

I agree with you keramikus.

I have to travel a lot for my business. Within the last 2-3 years I was in several arabic and middle east countries like Syria, Egypt, Yemen and just a few weeks ago in Iran. I didn't meet anybody who was organized or actively working against the dictators in any way. The so called prodemocratic revolutions are set up from outside.

I agree with both of you, I travelled to and in Syria several times years ago and I know for sure that nobody in that country would ever dare to risk any kind of resistance and certainly no open protest for he and all his family and friends would pay dearly for that

Hi Keramikus, I am from Tunisia and here force and oppression kept us silent for about 50 years. everyone knows that they can't talk about the regime or criticize this is taboo! nevertheless we were boiling internally. The movement for change came against the government and succeeded because the sincerity of its message : bring dignity, freedom and democracy to the People.
I believe that those regimes that rest on fear and force are in reality very fragile, they might be blown away easily, but getting used to their presence for a while, makes us forget or ignore this!
It is the Syrian people who decided to revolutionize and who are now moving to liberate themselves, valuable help is given through social networks from all countries in the Arab world, but they are doing their own move by themselves. I hope they will succeed their fight for democracy. we do not know what is democracy we fight for it! while in here you appear to be tired with it
Best wishes:)

Syrian Awakening has joined the rest of the world in recognizing the faux matrix of capitalism over human life for profit.

Long live enlightening and revealing.

It's the twitternet revolution, and the pictures must be tweeted or lead to visual coverage. The more you send the more the world will see and offer the prayers to our creator for guidance, and justice for the people of Syria.
Don't give up your dream of fairness and love, just post all the wrong, so it can be made right.

Godspeed

You might be right Keramikus and it can be that the PTB are causing a deliberate mayhem in order to stir up the area.governments are now hurting, killing and even bombing their citizens with 350 kg depleted uranium (Libya).difficult to bear! even though we know for the last couple of years that it is an orchestrated event.we heard some testimonies on the like such as "The Anglo-Saxon Mission". Here is whats been said yesterday on the protesting that going on in Syria.

My thoughts are with each and every struggling man and woman on this planet that are waking up to some truths and are ready to sacrifice themselves to make a change.

If only they knew how much strength we all have together! no need for this battle of despair...for making this sacrifice but simply take what is rightfully ours (freedom of spirit) but it seems that much of our growth as humanity will be the result of the difficult challenges ahead.

A Morrocan friend of mine used to tell us, "At home we know there's no freedom; here (France) people think they are free but it's the same, it's just an illusion."
