Don't get me Wrong, I am all for saving the environment and decreasing pollution, but I will not participate in this PONZI SCHEME! Designed to Wipe Out the 'Poor & Middle Class' making us all more dependent on 'Big Govt', giving them even more Control..!

Interesting point of view.

Earth hours presents a range of opportunities. At least one of them is potentially beneficial - it encourages people to think about the energy they consume.

This cannot be a bad thing.

Yes man-made global warming has been proven to be a scam, >90% of carbon emissions come from the life in our oceans, so they should tax the fishy's first lol

yet there are benefits of turning off electricity for one hour;
1. being able to see the stars and milky-way without the light pollution, AND
2. it allows our bodies to have a break from the electro-magnetic soup we live in.

Everyone round my way (rural) is doing turning off. It looks nice - whole place is lit up by starlight :) I can see the Bathurst streetlights lighting up the sky though but its far enough away not to spoil it. I can usually see a light halo from Lithgow - this is much reduced now.

Ok, I concede the point that this could be ritually motivated - but the rest of this difficult to accept.

I did not know that the forces of darkness were empowered by reduced energy consumption.

I don't think the forces of darkness are dispelled by light bulbs either!

It's a very serious thing.

I think you should all watch these educational video's so you can learn how YOU can clean YOUR act up to help save the enviroment. After all, it is you, the average joe, who is to blame for why we're in this mess to begin with!!

They also did one on earth hour. They went to the government dude's house (guy who was pushing the idea to australia at the time) during the actual event. He had his lights on. He went out to go see who was in his front yard. When he realised who was there he shat himself, and tried claiming he only turned the lights on to see who was in his yard. cant find that on the tube tho :(
