This film has been around for a couple of years.
Lots of discussion about it's origin and authenticity.
Well it's a fraud, outed by it's creator, a Brazilian CGI artist.

i can understand why goverments might try to make fake videos and throw mud of this but that video must have taken many hours to make. What was the point/gain for all those wasted hours? ppl are so small sometimes and when we finally meet them globally he will be ....

from what I've read, this brazilian guy, philpe, is a graphic artist, specializing in 3D animation.
he's is very talented.
he says he does believe in ufology, but wanted to put out something that would be provocative.
I'd say he was successful.
btw: sorry for the two almost identical posts.
my first attempt and fail.
if you'd like to read more about the hoaxer, philpe, here's a link to his confessions and blogger discussions:

How could someone ever believe this video is real ? how ? i can't understand. You have to watch the first few frames to know this is created on a computer...

lots of speculation throughout the ufo community.
there have been analysis videos done that found it plausible.
nowadays, it's hard to figure what's real and what's not.
the original video was approx. 10 minutes quite dramatic – starting outside a complex, leading down several progressively darker corridors
until the final destination and discovery. in the original (the only one I've seen), the alien didn't raise an arm.
while something incredible like this is easy to dismiss, it is done well.
now, we know the why and who.
I have experience in the field and I think it clearly is a computer generated video. I agree with Kra, watching the first few frames is enough.

People want to believe that this is real. Same with the countless other videos and photos of supposed aliens. This is not even very good CGI at that :alien:

I agree with both Kra and Solphilos. It's obvious the video can't be real, no matter what perspective you watch it from : professional or not. But again, as Solphilos said, people believe what they want to, so it shouldn't be to hard to seem real for all the millions of little white sheep out there :typing: :flock:

Seeing ... IS (=) believing ... for a lot of people.
I noticed that if a 'planted' article is placed in the newspaper they will put a picture next to it (even if it is an archived one) to emphasize the content.
Seeing pictures (stills or moving ones) will convince the masses that it is real.
I think it was yesterday that on a dutch part of msn there was a video on how dutch marines liberated a ship from Somalian pirates. Only very few
people wonder how camera's are miraculously there and film everything from angles as if you were there while the situation they capture appears
to be very dangerous. It is at that sort of moments I start to wonder why they are so anxious in showing the public something ... if they feel the need
to convince ... could there be something else ?

I knew it was a fake! I KNEW IT! I've argued with people on YouTube endlessly about this video. One person said because there was a chair next to it, that meant it was authentic, because why would a hoaxer bother putting a chair there? Good lord! I always knew this was fake... it totally reminds me of the Aphex Twin video Rubber Johnny. Check it out!!

and this very disturbing video 'rubber johnny' is a 'real' music video (see credits at end).
the director is the main character.
when I first saw it, I couldn't forget it.
really disturbing, very real, scary and an apparent abuse video, later framed as a captured alien video.
nonetheless, it's pretty demented.

I'm yet to see any movie of ETs in captivity, alien autopsys, men walking on the moon that I can prove is genuine. Theres plenty of incentive to create fakes & plenty of gulliable people out there. When aliens make themselves known in mass, then I will have films to believe in.

If you go to the credits - it is pretty clear they list the names of the people that did the prosthetics and animators, who even pushes the wheel chair, so I am not clear what the issue is.
I didn't run a check through IMDB but you might find their names there too. It is definitely ugly and it is horror - but that is also the film industry top seller and student film makers will do this because it is relatively inexpensive. No need for a lighting rentals - just a tripod and HD camera. FX schools focus on doing ugly in prosthetics as well and encourage people to really push the boundaries of decency. They probably got an A for it :)
Cheers

until recently, this rubber johnny video was posted without the credits, in many versions, long and short.
without that context, it really appears to be a demented abuse video or as later promoted, some sort of captive alien video.
all said, I wonder how they did that 'splatter/smear' sequence near the end. definitely makes ones skin crawl.
and finally, I wonder if it sold any music for the band?

Who is this guy really. Maybe the good old USA government payed him a large some of money to say he made the video in an effort to further masks truths between thousands and thousands of lies and dis information. I believe the government is responsible for adding further momentum, that if it's a UFO must be alien. This may be true in some cases but I think a lot of it is just a smoke screen to divert us from there own tests of secret aircraft. I mean they have highway named the extraterrestrial highway. I think they make it look so complicated on the outside when you get down to the real truths the simplicity of it is a work of genus.

mluck,
get over it.
while there certainly is gov't misdirection, this dude confessed and showed how he did it.
he's a cgi expert and was showing his chops. actually, it's not that good.
he's simply a trickster, like so many other out there.
not everything is a gov't conspiracy.
for a lot of us, it's important to separate the real from the fake, misguided or misattributed.
if you have some evidence as to gov't misdirects, we'd love to hear about them,
but speculation as just that.

Don't be too hard - everyone needs a hobby eh? It a thing... lol But honestly there is not much going on in the film world in Calgary - Me on the other hand live in Vancouver - this sort of stuff is seen at film festivals. Blood Shots Shorts - is coming up actually really soon. Really gruesome twisted stuff - but really encouraged by the industry. It is often a portfolio for Makeup Wardrobe Editing Direction - obviously not much on the writing side lol As is VIFF for those interested in making films. http://www.sherv.net/cm/emo/dancing/penguin.gif (http://www.sherv.net/penguin-emoticon-143.html)

Its videos like this and the people that make them that make it so difficult for the rest of us. These sort of things need to be stopped it only further helps to blur the lines of truth

Poor Humanity, what a cowardice on your soil ... because even if the truth fall tomorrow, a small part will fight to end these disgusting manipulators.
