View Full Version : Be as you are 3 - Empty Essence

You are empty essence, cognisant nature and compassionate energy.
These 3 aspects of your true nature are called, in Sanskrit, the 3 kayas – Dharmakaya, Sambogakaya and Nirmanakaya. That is what you truly are.

However, because of confusion, we turn into entities of desire, aversion and ignorance (these could also be called hope, fear and indifference – or like, dislike, and don't care). This is a product of the world around us, and our own clinging to that, and so we clone ourselves. The antidote of all that is realising your true nature, which has been covered up and is thus now unfamiliar.

Your true being is a constant: everything else is changeable and impermanent and requires maintenance. The shadow people also have this true nature, are driven by hope, fear and ignorance of one's true nature (these are also known as the 3 poisons).

This, of course, is just information.
Through meditation, it is turned into knowledge.
Through non-meditation, it is realised as wisdom.

This is what the shadow people don't want you to know, and they have put a lot of effort into covering it up – and we spend our time maintaining it.

This is now you wake up:

Don't wander, don't wander
Place mindfulness on guard;
Along the road of distraction
Mara lies in ambush
Mara is the mind, clinging to like and dislike;
So look into the essence of this magic
Free from dualistic fixation.
Realise that your mind is unfabricated primal purity.
There is no Buddha elsewhere;
Look at your own face.
There is nothing else to search for.
Rest in your own place.
Non-meditation is spontaneous perfection
So capture the royal seat.

The 3 aspects of our being are known as 'the view'. There are 2 ways to meditate: one is to meditate and then discover the view, and the other is to have the view pointed out by a qualified teacher, and then the continuity of that is the meditation. Meditation is a vehicle to realise your true nature; once you realise it, you drop the vehicle: that is non-meditation (but this is a very advanced state).

I am not a qualified teacher – just a spiritual friend!

Be at peace

The Sound of Silence is a sound worth pursuing as an experience.

Simon & Garfunkel with the lyrics:

meditating,,, as in the physical sense of sitting somewhere or in a certain position is a non event for me,,, i never experience silence,,, i know it's been referred to on here before, but the condition known medically as tinitus is extreme in my case..

i have a very high pitched sound in both ears but more pronounced in the right side constantly every minute of every day...

if i want i can meditate just on the sound,, but to me it's just a non event as it is just a waste of time...

The noise never bothers me,, it's just simply there,, end of..

However,,, i am in a state of relaxed meditative thought probably 90% of the time,,,,so i see myself as lucky in that way,,, my mind is in a constant state of relaxed thought and i find it easy to think about astral and cosmic events which i never quite know if i trained myself to be that way or i was just born with that process...

One thing i do know though, is that it's very important not to allow people into my life that throw their energy around like it's some kind of endless bounty,,, i have learn't the hard way that there is only so much lifeforce that one can burn at any one time, before one has to retreat and recharge the energy,,,so maybe that is an important part of the puzzle to achieving certain states of being..

Problem is, i guess,, i'm not very grounded mentally and i have a wild imagination lol

I have heard of this many times PassigLight:

Musicians know that when there are two notes generated in a material way, if one hears the 'node' or wavering near a 'node' that the notes are a harmonic or nearly so.

That would be evidence the sounds are generated 'outside' of the Mind.

Try generating a sound source with a constantly changing scale, such as through a sound editor, or an instrument that isn't restricted to 'fixed' noted.

I've never discovered a 'harmonic' between the sound that I too experience.

I can achieve a Sound of Silence. How I do that, isn't a consistent recipe to communicate to another - yet. :)

I'd be curious to hear about your experiments with any harmonic between your 'inner sound' and an external sound.
