Greetings to all, friends of old incarnate, and the friends to be made. I am. We are.
The world is covered in a web now, and we have the ability to connect with beings from any and every point of that web and it is very humbling to be able to share and learn with one another. I am a being on the path of wisdom, light, truth and love. I am highly intuitive and have a deeper understanding for the conceptual paradigm we inhabit, and sometimes it is hard to articulate and verbalize meaning to one another. I am sure there are many who feel the same, and I am glad to be in a place with such people.
I find the psychological aspect of the human machine a starting point for personal growth. Learning the functions, subconscious indoctrinations, and conditions a person lives with and never questions makes me question. To not know why one acts and feels the way it does is a catalyst for self-preservation. Preservation of delusion.
I would like to share some information that has helped me on my way.
A helping hand on the pieces of the puzzle that make up your mind.
From the book: Transforming the Mind by Peter Shepherd
http://www.trans4mind.com/transformation/
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental
To reach out for another is to risk involvement
To expose feelings is to risk rejection
To place your dreams before a crowd is to risk ridicule
To love is to risk not being loved in return
To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds is to risk failure
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing
does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrows,
but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow, or love.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave - he has forfeited his freedom.
Only a person who takes risks is FREE

Thank you SO much ĘTHER!! What wonderful thread. Love the sentiment, the poem and the clip.
Dr Maxwell says: When you just hold onto negative feelings, you become much less than what you are capable of being.
That resonated deeply. Freedom of choice affords us many priviledges, even that of being "positive".
Admittedly, being able to remain in a constant state of goodliness , is a futile endeavour, as this too can make one ill.
My right-brain thinking still gets put under pressure by "lefties".
I am however, getting better (halfway, I reckon ;) ) at allowing the space and respect to grow....
Unveiling the strategies of the ego, and a continuous review of the paradoxes and pitfalls of having a spiritual life are food for my growth and happiness.
Surrender is a tough master ;)
The Invitation - Oriah Mountain Dreamer
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to
be careful, be realistic, remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can
disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, 'Yes.'
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

Ah, good old Psycho-Cybernetics! One of my favorite books way back when (people like Anthony Robbins, Stephen Covey and Garotte LoPorto hadn't hit the scene).
If you want to enjoy the latest (2002) version of Dr (sch)Maltz's classic tome, you can download it here (http://ifile.it/zqrtoi4).
