Hi All,
I'm not someone who studies the occult, other than being open to the fact that there are plenty of things that are going on in this world that aren't easily explained....
I was intrigued by this video that was posted on the TPUC forum: http://www.tpuc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=30830
I had never heard of 'The revelation of the method' before this, but it let me to this article which I found intriguing: http://www.whale.to/b/revelation_method_q.html
Before I potentially put my research time into this, I thought that I would ask the question of the learned Avalonian forumites: Does this ring true with you, and is it worthy of further research?........sorry that was two questions but hey.....;)
To the mods, this is the first thread which I have started, if I've posted this in the wrong forum, please feel free to move it.

Fraser, me old banana, you do study the occult.
Occult just means hidden, secret and not common knowledge.
If you are on TPUC you are there to read about law.
Law is THE occult practise of the day.

I read the article and thought this bit was particularly important:
["What is truth?" asked Pontius Pilate. Truth is what the universe operates on. It's what fuels the sun and makes the galaxies spiral. It can be known and it can be surfed, and it can help and heal us all because it's the motive force of what brought us here in the first place. The Cryptocracy can be diminished and shifted out of the way with this power. But to use this power people have to love truth. Most conspiracy researchers these days don't love truth. They love novelty. They love to contemplate a million fantasy scenarios and theories rather like an enchanting flower garden. The Cryptocracy has got those people right where it wants them. For such people my ideas will be merely the latest strange novelty. I will fascinate them for as long as it takes for someone else to come along and hypothesize about Martian vampires infiltrating Microsoft. ]
I think love of truth is what particularly distinguishes the people of Avalon from other sites. We focus our joint consciousness on the solution - a civilization of sharing and cooperation for survival of all. That focused intention diminishes in size the cryptocracy , as it is called in this article, and all their symbolism looses its meaning. There is no need to rise to their bait. The Georgia guidestones are a laughable indulgence of children. They shrink themselves as their credence diminishes.
Thanks for the thread dukes.

As soon as I saw the phrase 'The revelation of the method' and later in another post the term 'cryptocracy' I had a feeling it was Michael Hoffman. He sees everything from an extreme Christian perspective. Some of the stuff he writes makes sense. Some of it is a bit weird for me, but might have some validity. Some of it is clearly mistaken based on my own research into related areas. As with many writers on the 'occult', he misinterprets a lot of the symbolism because of his religious perspective. He assumes that his religious perspective is absolutely right and unassailable, and so therefore everything that can't fit into that view must be part of a dark conspiracy of evil. The possibility that there might be conspiracies that see fundamentalist Christianity, and/or the Roman Church, as a part of the problem on this planet and that such groups might have the best interests of humanity in what they do can't enter his thinking.
He seems sincere to me, and he puts a lot of time and effort into what he does. He is just blinded to some things due to his belief system. Of course, that can be said about all of us though, couldn't it?

Thank you Dionysus for your reply. My initial glance at the information shows that, as you say, he is indeed very sincere, which is usually a good start in my book, but not having seen any of his work before, I wasn't aware that he relied so heavily on a 'belief' system......which starts all sorts of alarm bells ringing.
You've probably saved me an evening or two of research, so thank you for that!
I can instead start reading 'Freedom from the Known' that's just arrived in the post today

This rings true for me. When I challenge friends and family to look at an issue, I don't say "look, THEY did this". I try and get them to ask questions. When so many questions are never answered by authorities, then we MUST ask more. The truth is right there. The liars just have to move aside in order to see it's elegantly simple nature.
