I have noticed that most local governments in the states have had to make some major cutbacks due to the lack of federal funding. Unfortunately the cuts are being made in the education sector. We have to stop playing big brother to everyone while we slowly decay from the inside out. Electric power, our roadways, waste water facilities, flood control and dams are only a few items on a large list of serious issues that are in desperate need of repair. The blackout in the north east should have been a wake up call. However it was quickly swept under the rug and forgotten about. (sorry about the rant)
