You can either list a myriad of things or boil it down.
Life's meaning is life, it's inherent. That implies that the meaning is whatever you decide it is. No wrong answers there.

The meaning of life imo is to "experiment" with and "experience" "tone".
"Catalysts" to create "symphony's" and "compositions" would prevent a Utopian
stasis within the "symphony's" of the multiverse and therefore require the spectrum of "life" as "we" experience it.

The meaning to life...
Basically to live life without fear of death and be able to make the link betweent physical form and soul and most of all LEARN and pass it on to the new generations. And enjoy the beautiful planet (originally) we were homed to. Though things are very off track thanks to 'wanna be gods.
Alex collier.... Controversial I know but I heard an interview once and according to him the andromedans he is supposedly in contact with pass every new development to the young children and let them do with it what they will, some will ignore it till adulthood, others will focus on it from that moment and grow to want to improve on it and 9/10 the younger generation will devolop to be more intelligent than the parents and they love that .....
Seems here the opposite happens and look at the results.
Sorry a bit long I know. :/

I was a late starter, for me, i wanted to know who i really was, and why i was really here, and i had no clue how to do it, but i found by experience it was a journey that u start by taking the first step and along the way as you do the inner work on self trying to be a little better each time at the things i knew i was not too good at , and still have to work on daily ,understanding came a little at a time, clearing the truama and grief "of the soul"of present and past experiences as they came up, and by action, using my physical and spiritual gifts to the best of my ability on this earth in the now, for the highest good of all that is

For a simple analogy,,, Life is like an amusement park: We came here knowing that we were in for a ride. Some folks will stick to the 'kiddy' rides. Others will stand in line for the 'roller coaster', where we will have ups and downs and twists and turns and curves and complete loops and spins, to the point where we surely throw up or even die...
But there is no death! Only a decision to make with regards wether or not to return to the 'park' for another 'ride'.

I think..
It's very important to take responsibility for the thoughts in our being, maybe they got to us from the devil or an angel, but once they are with us they are our responsibility. This means that we should not be on an autopilot mode during our daily life, I know that habits are hard to change but we should try to stay aware of our thoughts. For it is the thought that give birth to speech and action. Concentrating on the third eye whenever possible will help with this.
Cheers.

What is the meaning of life ?
Well for a long time i never even gave it any thought.
Later i thought that it was to enjoy yourself and to experience different stuff etc
Now i think some of it is to learn, grow and expand your awareness whilst staying true to your nature.
I used to think that having stuff was good and going without was bad.
Now i know that having stuff isn't what's important and that it's better to be kind and generous than materialistic.
I used to focus on the outer and never the inner. Now it's the other way around.Happiness comes from within.I still have a lot of focus on outside events etc but i do it in a different way than i used to.I now try to look a bit deeper into why things are the way they are.
So there's probably lots of meanings to life depending on the individual but i would suspect that to improve ones understanding of life itself and to learn from its lessons is important to all of us

If by life we limit ourselves to third density material existence, I think the meaning of life is quite possibly material existence itself. To wit, TMOL is different for the angel and the devil, as it were. For the former, it is the journey of wings; for the latter, the journey of horns. The angel's MOL has little or no purpose for the devil and vice versa.
:typing:
ps: FWIW, my own MOL is much closer to the angel's philosophy than the devil's ... how much closer, who knows? And I don't know whether it was configured that way when I was born or whether I evolved into it via my third density material experiences. Nature vs nurture. Chicken and egg. That sorta thing.

As far as I am concerned, the statement (no question mark) is a red herring as in a computer software that has no boundaries and keeps looping... accompanied with a sinister: "That 'll occupy these nuggets."
If it were a question, I'll be more on the side of 3optic: "Is the answer to the question worth knowing?" to quote myself from another thread ( http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?18161-Incarnation-choice-and-the-TPTB&p=195726&viewfull=1#post195726 ).

Allow me to clarify.
I find that asking TMOL is superfluous and any answers are irrelevant except to the individual answering. My pursuits and interests, which could be inferred by some as my MOL is to seek truth and get to the bottom of things. Pursuant to that, I answer your question with a question in the interest of getting to the bottom of things and observing that my answer is irrelevant.
I also find that going into lengthy explainations of simple statements is often wasted effort, and prefer to use simple phrases to allude to expounded concepts and ideas to the benefit of those who can read volumes in a few words. ^_^
In short, there is no meaning to life. 'Meaning' is an intellectual construct. Life just is.

I very much agree with those two statements.
Its why we can never know the truth....or come up with a viable system of government.
Have you ever stopped to consider that these two statements are a product of your perception, which is, as we both agree, very very limited? In other words, you could easily be wrong about these last two statements.

for the first 33 years of my life I thought the purpose to my life was to be saved by Jesus Christ. So I've been educated since the moment I could walk.
Never mind some things didn't make sense in my mind, because that was just me, who lacked the "wisdom of the holy spirit". Meanwhile just believe, give my tithes, and make sure I don't fall into eternal hell.
Then came that "a-HA" moment, and after the initial joy of being liberated from the shackles of organized religion, I found myself asking the question again.
In the next few years, I thought the purpose to my life was to just EXPERIENCE. So that is exactly what I did. I traveled a lot, and moved around a lot too.
I've also done a lot of searching for the "truth". The more I got to know about the state of the "prison" we are all stuck in, now my desire is to be available to those whom I may be of help.
I don't see UFOs very often, I think I've seen maybe 2 all these years, I can't meditate for longer than 5 minutes, I don't see visions, nor am able to channel cool things from the ether. I still enjoy a steak or charbroiled meat every now and then, and get pissed off if someone cuts me off. I don't think I'm here to make huge ripples in our "pond".
But I've been getting this little feeling lately that maybe I am just an energy "generator". If my happy vibes can maybe just add a little tiny ripple in our pond at this time, then this trip will have been worthwhile. I can leave knowing that I've made my contribution as payback for all the experiences I got to have.

I believe the meaning of life is to reflect and observe that reflection. Analyze it and see it in everything. That reflection is God, the Ultimate Principle. It really isn't all that technical because all we have to do is exist. Live in love. Be still and know. I wrote a poem reflecting what I believe to be the aim of this life—individually and collectively. There are practicalities and technicalities to consider but just to sum up the gist of it (partially) here goes...
Waves rise and fall,
they reach and claw,
for the sandy beach.
While ocean whole,
the bore holds sole;
from the one comes each.
In life they cline,
In death they pine,
unaware of why
By ebb and flow,
they come and go,
from what's in the sky
They seek and search,
upon the earth,
fruitlessly they swoon.
If they'd sit still
in movement nil
They would know the moon.
-Vivek

Just wrote this one. Another apt explanation for me...
A mystery wrapped in skin,
The white, black, and red akin.
Communal cause in all men,
God asleep behind each grin.
Falling to the planes below.
Lo, the depths of fear and woe,
Forsake Self, forget you know,
Flesh now substitute for soul.
Go to sleep, a righteous cause,
Empathizing with your flaws
Subject Self to lesser laws,
Fulfillment of spirits’ clause.
Universe effervescent,
Souls blister feigning sep’rate,
Each a gift, wrapped in Presence,
Must open self to lessons.
To each their own destiny,
Idiosyncratic me.
To denude divinity,
Coda of life’s symphony.
-Vivek
The flavor of this piece resonates with the principle of the in and out breath of God. A concept further polished for me by greybeard.
Much Love and Thanks to you

You agreed to come here, you agreed to live this life you have now. Each person knows exactly why they are here, you must look for the reasons. These reasons were fresh at birth and fade over time but it is not hard to bring them to the surface once you understand. If you are one of the wealthiest, happiest, and most successful people on the planet or a homeless person living in Bangladesh each life is equally important. Once you recognize, understand and believe this fact you will treat everyone you come into contact with very differently. Your growth and spiritual well being is determined by successful completion of your obligations you made prior to coming!

Meaning of life (3D):
Imagine a game of poker. The cards are love, dislike, limitation, unhappiness, pleasure, etc. They are dealt and re-dealt and re-dealt continuously. You may, during this incarnation begin to know your own cards. You may begin to find the love within you. You may begin to balance your pleasure, your limitations, etc. However, your only indication of other-selves cards is to look into the eyes.
You cannot remember your hand, their hands, perhaps even the rules of this game. This game can only be won by those who lose their cards in the melting influence of love, can only be won by those who lay their pleasures, their limitations, their all upon the table face up and say inwardly:
"All, all of you players, each other-self, whatever your hand, I love you."
This is the game: to know, to accept, to forgive, to balance, and to open the self in love.
Greater meaning of Life:
The Riddle of Eternity
Shadow and Substance;
Matter, Soul and Spirit;
Manifestation and its Source;
God, the Unifying Principle;
Disintegration in Matter, in ever finer and finer Substance;
Unification again in Spirit.
The purpose of existence may be summed up in a phrase:
The evolution of mind in matter that varies in degree and kind -- so that mind develops through manifestation, and in an ever-expanding universe ever increases in power and gains thereby the true conception of reality.
The myriad thoughts of God, those spirits which inform with life all material forms, are the lowest manifestation of God, and must thus learn to become Godlike -- to become an effective part of the Whole.

Hello everyone, and thank you Normalguy for asking this question.
If would enjoy writing a short essay on this question I would like to give you my intuition into the meaning of life.
The first question of my research was "what is life", and every day as I research and study this question the answer seems to be constantly evolving.
Life, to me, is a universal singularity consciousness of energy which has the ability to create holographic universes by thought.
All matter, all energy, everything...inside what I perceive in my waking awareness is simply self.
For some unknown reason to this mind, the awareness of this connection to the main part of self :(universal singularity consciousness) has been blocked.
I appear to be in a holographic universe that appears solid, reactive, fairly safe ,and for the most part limitless.
This construct I call life, is simply a never ending series of paradoxes.
What ever decision or choice I make, brings about new experiences, and again presents new choices, each paradoxical.
There appears to be two main kinds of energy which feed this souls behavior.
Love force, and Fear force.
For the most part, the society which i currently exist in, seems to appear as a sea of fear force.
This fear seems to have a deliberate perpetuation as of the result of those who I call the controllers.
The controllers appear to be trying to keep us from connecting with the energy called love force.
Life appears to never end. The end is just a means to the beginning.
Like a raindrop that connects and disconnects from the main body of water.
The meaning of life therefore is to love, explore and evolve.
The eyes that are reading this statement, is from the same body that wrote it, but in a different ripple of existence.
Like a sheet of paper folded against itself and folded back until it is unable to recognize itself.
My Meaning of life

That is my meaning of life.

life is a test of multiple choice,
a "choose your own adventure" book.
the goal- to make decisions, choose well, to learn from poor choices,
eventually wisdom and experience limits your choices, you eliminate the bad through time,
how quick you learn is determined by how you learn, do you learn by the impact of negative? or the effects of the positive?
You choose.

I can't use words to answer this thread's question. None of them are big enough or accomplish the goal I set for them.
I can answer the question inside me, using feelings and intuitive responses, but when I try to send it outward and share it, nothing feels right.
Maybe the correct answer is supposed to live in our cells.

To learn, love and evolve. :)
If evolution is true then there is no meaning.
Then we are the result of a big cosmic burp which by change resulted in life.
So if it is all chance then there is no reason for or meaning to life.

I think if your acting from a higher level of consciousness in everything you do then, simply anything you do is perfect, although anything at all in the end is perfect, it's all experience, which is what the universe wants, but it's nice when your doing things through a level of higher consciousness because you flow with the construct.... and then anything you want will manifest

To me the meaning of life is the discovery that there is a God, or Source,
which becomes evident during mystical moments when reality becomes more real than normal.
Here is something from the www.wingmakers.com site.
This is God, or First Source, speaking to man.
"It is my voice that awakened you to individuality, but it will be your will that awakens you to our unity.
It is your desire to know me as your self that brings you to my presence so perfectly hidden from your world.
I am behind everything that you see, hear, touch, taste, smell, feel, and believe.
I live for your discovery of me."
And in the Bahai writings: http://info.bahai.org/article-1-3-2-4.html
"When I contemplate, O my God, the relationship that bindeth me to Thee,
I am moved to proclaim to all created things `verily I am God!';
and when I consider my own self, lo, I find it coarser than clay!"
On the whole one needs to experience moments when one's consciousness is elevated, to see it clearly.

ZetaTalk: Meaning of Life
Note: written Oct 15, 1995.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Humans, unsure of an afterlife and without proof that reincarnation exists, often wonder what the point of it all is. Why struggle to be good when good guys seem to finish last. Why work to build an empire when disaster can strike and bring it to ruin. They look around and ask, is this all there is? They wonder if there is a God, or if there is why atrocities are allowed to occur. It all boils down to the question - what is the Meaning of Life?
Confusion is deliberate during 3rd Density, a relatively short density, as the single lesson to be learned comes to a focus fastest when the eye cannot see past the horizon. Service-to-Self or Service-to-Other is the decision to be made, but as this is an emotional and moral decision, rather than an intellectual decision, not knowing the outcome of this decision keeps the action going in the proper arena. Imagine if youngsters in school were given no descriptions on the outcome of their curricular decisions. This is a trendy idea which is scarcely followed, as parents and teachers and family and the media all influence youngsters by pointed references and applause or punishment if not by outright demands. The youngsters might be entranced by building things with blocks but be told that will only lead to a dirty job working with one's hands, or be gifted at music and be enthralled in composing music to the exclusion of all other activities but be reminded just as constantly that performers don't have the lifestyle that white collar professionals can look to. The youngster's choices, in short, are not made based on their inclinations in the main.
During 3rd Density the spiritual choices to be made crystallize quickest when no influences are allowed to interfere. Being aware of the outcome during the learning incarnations slows the process because intellectual decisions are made that are contrary to the emotional and moral leaning, so backsliding and vacillation set in. In situations where 3rd Density entities are told the outcome of their decisions they almost invariably announce they are Service-to-Other, when in fact they are dithering between the orientations and haven't decided. Then hypocrisy sets in as self-centered motives are masked, and when the entity cannot deny to themselves that they are acting with self-centered motives they may abandon the effort altogether in self-defeating rebellion. When unaware, they are more honest with themselves, ponder the results of actions and how they feel about this more openly, try various alternatives more playfully, and in general proceed with the business at hand in a more genuine manner.
During the Transformation few entities complete their 3rd Density lesson under the duress of the rapid pace of change. Some entities leaning toward the Service-to-Other rise to the opportunities presented to do greater acts of service. Many entities leaning strongly toward the Service-to-Self act out their orientation choice without hesitation, practicing for the life they are sensing awaits them, where the spoils go to the strongest and boldest. Those entities who are incarnated undecided into the Transformation, which is now, almost invariably remain in that state, as the increasing polarization in the world around them detracts from, rather than adds to, their own introspective search.
Thus, the Meaning of Life during 3rd Density is to determine your spiritual orientation, which we can tell you now as we are well within the Transformation.

i believe meaning of life is learning/experience to become God which only thing that i can think of...we incarnate into different race/civilization on different universe be all type beings good guys-bad guys and plus we have go through 3D to 12D.
looking at the guys on the top 12D and the really old soul ions of years, they have experience it all and what's the next thing for them? once you reach that stage which is the highest, i do think they working for God and once they have have the experience they became God.

there is no 'meaning' of life.
the whole question is a trap designed to get you to intellectualize what is a state of being.
everything 'just is' regardless of any dogma thats applied to it,
which will only ever be subjective anyway.
while we are in the mind thinking about what the meaning is,
we are not 'being', which is how things should be.
simply 'be'
i reckon.

We are the universe becoming aware of itself. We are expanding and contracting to understand ourselves and to experience.
