View Full Version : UK Royal Wedding to Cost the Taxpayer $48 Million

ktlight

'British lavish royal wedding of Prince Williams and his wife-to-be Kate Middleton is to cost British nationals more than $48 million. It is widely believed that the $48-million cost of the royal wedding on April 29 at London's Westminster Abbey would be paid by British citizens rather than the royal family itself.

Despite being in an atrocious economic condition, Britain will hold the extravagant wedding, for which the UK royal family can certainly afford to pay, since the family reportedly owns billions of pounds. In addition, the declaration of April 29 as a national holiday will cost Britain about $9.6 billion.'

Hello Everyone,

Now this really makes my blood boil! $48 million bucks. That is totally outrageous while people are struggling with the higher prices of food, bills and petrol. As is pointed out in another thread, an increasing number of people are homeless, sleeping rough outside or in their cars. What's going to happen come Winter-time? That the taxpayers and not the ultra rich royal family will be paying for it, is absurd.

If the British people stand for this, they damned well deserve it. I hope they grow a backbone and riot on the streets. Scenes come to mind of Charlie and Cammy in their golden chariot, some months ago, with people chanting 'off with their heads'.

I certainly don't wish them any physical harm. But Jesus, a good, damned fright might do them the world of good. Things are changing folks. I can smell a revolution coming on.

Surely the British won't stand for this utter nonsense.

Cranky as hell,
Lily:mad2:

This is where the government should step in, we know they wont. With all the cut backs they are doing to supposedly put us back on track, or, has the bill already been paid due to the cut backs?.

I will not be watching this wedding as I did not Lady Diana (rip) and charles when they hooked up. The royal family simply gives me the ****s, they are as much use as out of date meat at a BBQ.

No matter what we on this land do, it will happen regardless of our feelings or wrecked financial status.

Roll on the changes, lets get this planet re-booted.

Hello Everyone again,

I'm very tempted to spill some beans I know on the royal family, but I'll probably be surveilled with a target practice sign on my back if I do. If I'm not surveilled already, that is...

OK, I'm not going to be one of those people who say, 'I know something, but I can't tell you, brigade'. But one does have to think carefully how to get this info out without putting yourself and family at risk. I'm not paranoid, but like all of us here we know of Echelon and lord knows what else. I really don't want to put it out on a public forum. I'm just an ordinary person, living an ordinary life who knows some stuff from a long time ago from a trusted source.

Perhaps PM is the way to go? Is even that safe? Look, even if I told Bill and Kerry about it, they may say, well, that's nothing new, let's move on. And it is pretty old stuff, happened in the 60's or 70's I believe.

I'm going to have a shower, come back and see what you think. There may be no interest whatsoever.

Maybe I should erase this? OK, here we go. Press send.

Kind regards,
Lily

Well, I have hated the windsors ever since one of the .............. flew in by helicopter and closed down the company I happily worked for. He apparently wanted the area to open a Deli on his toy estate. He put over a 100 british people out of work that day, without blinking.

They are nothing to me....

Hi Lily
Why don't you email Bill or PM him. You will never know what he will say unless you submit it to him. Or PM me, because I would like to know. Do this only if you feel safe.

I too would like this information but only if you feel comfortable in passing it on. I got told by a very special friend once to spread to as many as possible.

I have to honest and wonder though, by saying what you have already, surely has opened any gates being observed!!

You must feel comfortable with what you do with this info and take great care.

Blessings

Hello All,

Thanks ktlight....I took your good advice and PM'd Bill with everything explained in a nutshell. I thought that the safest way to go. Thank you all for your concern.

It just truly makes my blood boil knowing what these evil people get away with. They need to be dealt with. And the longer we all let them get away with stuff, it will continue. We all need to make a stand one way or another, in any way we can.

I refuse to be a slave anymore on this planet. Everyone needs to grow a backbone and just say NO!

Interesting, I think it costs around 50 million per week to keep the troops in Afghanistan. Maybe they will get home a week early then when the money runs out..

Lily...PUBLISH AND BE DAMNED!

As for the 48 million, the people are not being asked its being taken, and this is just the powers that be rubbing our faces in it.
I bet if they had a whipround, they would raise that amount...rmember there are a lot of royalists in this country...who foolishly await the day there is a KING BILLY on the throne!
its all theatre innit!

Hi all,

'the trojan', you raise a very good point. No one was asked about contributing this outrageous sum of money for a wedding. It's just going to be taken off you! No referendum, no courtesy call to see if you agree, just taken off you out of your pay packet, while you all battle rising prices. They are having a go to see how much you can all bend over and get shafted.

'The Royalists' who follow, beg, scrape and bow to the monarchy need to take a walk in the hall of mirrors, I won't go on in the name of politeness, you get my drift....

Please, you young, aware people and older activist ones like us who know what's going on, do something, say something to your neighbours...get a dialogue going on the ground roots level.

They are using you and laughing in your faces. Get angry. Be peaceful and harm no-one, but get angry and talk about it.

Stepping off my soap box now...

Cheers,
Lily

I'm glad the Obamas are not on the guest list. That saves the American taxpayers several million dollars.:thumb:

mmmm, are we forgeting that this is a monarchy?

they dont have to ask our permission....
they seem to be under the impression that they are in charge of the country.
rightly or wrongly.
they dont live in the same world we do. they dont see things in the same way.
do you believe the royal family are feeling the 'credit crunch' ?,
its only those who are losing out that see this as a bad thing.
those who are involved, couldnt care less about you or I.

we are nothing to them.

I was just thinking about the money saved from Students tuition, and noticed something I couldn't believe... It started back in 2010...

"The Conservatives have said that they will "consider carefully" the outcome of the review. In June 2010 David Willets stated that under the current arrangements students were a "burden on the taxpayer that had to be tackled"..."

"Ed Milliband came out in support of a graduate tax as a method of funding universities in the future..."

"The Russell Group's submission to the review stated that graduates should pay real rates of interest on their student loans to prevent a university funding crisis..."

so students are now loading up loans at regular bank rates, paid back from a percentage of earnings, penalty for early payoff...

it gets better...

"According to Lord Mandelson the review would consider "balance of contributions to universities by taxpayers, students, graduates and employers" to University finances..."

so, passing these taxes direct to the banks help taxpayers, employers and students in what way?

because bankers believe in giving money to education?

sounds like someone that is truly out for the public's interest should put together a plan...

Lord Browne, whose report on higher education funding is published today, is a former chief executive of BP who drove record profits...

Rocky, the problem is that Lord Browne, David Willets, Ed Milliband and Lord Mandelson work for the Banking / Military Industrial Complex, not the political parties they are supposed to represent. It’s just an illusion that they do, so of course they will recommend this.

The Bankers own the Schools, Collages and Universities; the Bankers determine the education syllabus or the ideology that exists within these establishments. Public Private Partnership is the wholesale transfer of state assets including the above educational establishments to the Banks. The public is then left with the liability while the Banks collect the asset.

The plans for permanent dictatorship are well advanced.

You should note that these are not real Lords; they are given these titles if they do as they are told along with four cornflake packet tops. Funny isn’t it that both the Lords should be gay.

They should be tarred and feathered, the lot of them.
