Carl Sagan gave his last interview with Charlie rose on May 27th 1996. He discussed pseudo-science, religion, unfounded claims, his personal love affair with science and his struggle with myelodysplasia as well as other elements of his last book: The Demon-Haunted World.
I thought it was important that a high quality copy of this interview, with proper audio video sync, was made available on youtube.
The Demon-Haunted World changed my life in ways more profound than I thought possible. That book, and the name of Carl Sagan, should be known to every high school graduate.
"Better the hard truth, I say, than the comforting fantasy. And in the final tolling it often turns out that the facts are more comforting than the fantasy."

CORRECTION: It's come to my attention that Carl gave one other television interview before his death. It was aired on ABC's Nightline on December 4th 1996. A short clip from that interview can be seen below. Please ask ABC to make the entire interview available.

Thank you for making these links available and for honoring a real trailblazer from earlier days. We were all blessed by his passion for deep space and what may be out there to enrich our lives. His belief that science was "a candle in the dark" was only too true. And a tiny candle at that. Watch now as we find out all that was in error, so keep an open mind and be prepared to let go of what we've been lead to believe and start with a clean slate. In the Rockefeller Scientific University Credential programs ~ our current system of credibility cannot stand up in the light of day and is going to fall like the old financial system that propped it up for all these years, and we need to let it go. Carl Sagan, thankfully, could hold his own. xoxox

Cosmos: A Personal Voyage
He had done amazing jobs for brainwashing general public all over the world for many years. A famous NASA's front man.
How much truth he really knew about life in the universe and advanced civilizations existed on Earth?
Did he know about planet size of UFOs near Saturn discovered by the Voyager I/II?
It's interesting how the future generation will judge present mainstream scientists. They established religious scientific community, maintained the ignorant for good two hundred years. The hero of today becomes the criminal of tomorrow.
If world-famed scientists like Carl Sagan's theories and facts are right, UFO/aliens communities would never flourish nowadays.
What a big con job the SETI it has been.

I have never stopped wondering how he put the Contact story together. It was/is so remarkable.

I watched Contact just the other day after I discovered it was written by Carl Sagan, such an amazing movie. Here is a link if anyone wants to watch it in good quality via streaming.
