This white powder sold by the kilo, is the meat industry's dirty little secret. It's called "meat glue." It makes pieces of beef, lamb, chicken or fish that would normally be thrown out stick together so closely that it looks like a solid piece of meat.

Beef! It's what's for dinner.
I wonder if that stuff (meat glue) is good for raising consciousness?
Maybe joints will hold up better. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Interesting.
Misleading and deceptive conduct.
You have remedies under the consumer laws, let alone health laws.
Anyone caught doing this would be in a world of negligence hurt.
And people deny it when I tell them australia is one of THE most corrupt nations/corporations on the planet.
On the up side, they may help more people to convert to being vegetarian or going organic.

*Looks around town*: Well that explains what's keeping the Australian zombies together and functional....
Codex Alimentarius 3.54.2: Australians shall be fed meat glue in order to strengthen the flesh of our Southern Hemisphereian Zombie Army.

Hello Everyone,
Well, that's a bit of a wake up call? I usually buy my meat from the local 'organic, hormone-free butcher'. (Lol, the meat, not the butcher...)
But I also buy meat from Woollies and Coles sometimes. Guess where I will not be buying my meat anymore? Oh, and I will still have some questions for the local butcher.
Thanks for the info, these are things you miss when you don't watch TV.
Kind regards,
Lily

Eating the dead flesh of some helpless and abused animal is a bad idea to begin with.
Gluing together the random bits of many dead animals is not an improvement.

Not to far back in the past most fastfood outlets had been practicing the "glueing" technique for ever...floor sweepings included, many still do, nearly all the bread, sauces and numerous other foods have glue in them..."Gluten" and that stuffs evil! Most of the milk at the supermarkets has very little milk in it, palenta (think thats the term) by-product of processing...truth is, very little is actually food...IMHO.

Hey! I was just thinking about something along the same lines while reading the pink slime meat thread.. Uck! My sister in law used to work for a company that would basically glue blood clots to steaks in order to make them all the same sizes and shapes to be sold to restaurants.. Sick eh?
