A few years ago in Brazil, ice balls very similar to those that appear in the video were found. At that occasion the ice didn't melt for more than a month even though they were located in a tropical area, with temperatures well above 20 C. In our case, though, nobody said that they might have been created by a UFO.

Hi alemao,
That's an amazing story - "ice balls" staying frozen for more than a month at those temperatures and all... how very strange!
But what about the footage in this news story though?
Did you notice the size of the chunk of ice that the guy was holding in his hands?
It was as big as a large shoe box!
And what abut the damage to all those trees... wow!!!
What I don't understand is why the news presenter keeps referring to UFO's and why they think there's a connection between this event and UFO's?
Anyone???

A quick google search reveals that Apple Daily News is Taiwanese D-Day, but that's as far as I've got. I've googled 'giant hailstones hit Taiwan' and 'freak Taiwanese weather flattens trees' etc, but no dice. You'll have to request a Taiwanese member to translate this very interesting article! Good luck.

I would expect to see damage to trees with some supersized chunks of ice falling on them. Apart from that, if the ice was delivered by a storm, the winds are also likely to have been ferocious.
What I don't understand is why the news presenter keeps referring to UFO's and why they think there's a connection between this event and UFO's?
I also haven't got a clue, looks like a hailstorm for me.
Cheers

I agree, it certainly looks like the aftermath of some kind of freak natural occurrence.
As I mentioned above though, the thing that caught my attention most about this video was that the presenter frequently references UFO's throughout the report.
I would really love to know what she was saying.
Thanks anyway for your input alemao ;)
