If you mean how do you post youtube vids here, all you need to do is copy what is in the address at the top of the page, choose the fifth icon in Avalon and paste there, delete up to and including the '&' sign and click submit. Or do what you did above, but remove the 'full stop' from the link and type in 'www.' before the word 'youtube'.

Very intresting ,but watch the one that follows it, at the end very briefly is is a flying triangle cloaking up or dimention jumping
I'm also a bit in the dark as regards doing stuff on here, how does the quote thing work, I tried it and just got the words followed by the word 'quote' no box etc ?

I just copy the address and then enter it into the video tab, same as you mentioned but without removing anything.. seems to work just fine for me

The fifth icon is in the line above the box in this reply or any reply you make, starting with 'B'. When you pass the cursor over it, states 'video link' and what to delete is from the end back to where the '&' sign is.

The [vid eo] and [vid eo] should -not- be there. The space on "vid eo" is added by some posters when explaining this, in an effort to get the codes to show up as is, rather than be parsed as video codes.

Instead, without those two extra "vid eo" codes, it should be:

There is more than one way to show youtube videos. The one explained in the Youtube video embedding instructions (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?13076-Youtube-videos&p=117968&viewfull=1#post117968) link below, in my signature, is the one I use (less typing). If I'm watching a you tube video on it's original page and I want to post it here I do this..

First copy the link from the page (top) of you-tube video.

Then before I post on here I'll click go advanced as then you can preview post. Preview post is very handy whilst doing this type of thing because it'll show you the results before you finally click post reply.

I don't use the You-tube symbol. The symbol for video link works for me. Above you'll see two earths and then a letter symbol an a picture link and then the video link.
Just paste in the you tube page and click preview post to see of it worked ... bet it does.
